Come stay at the beautiful and relaxing SOUTHERN SANDS 206 – a two bedroom, two bath rental right on the famous white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
This second-story, family-friendly condo has a stunning view from its double-sized balcony right on the beach – giving you, your family and friends your own private view of the palm trees, sand dunes and clear-blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Escape the crowds and steer clear of the packed high-rises: come breathe in the fresh beach air at this charming, 3-story development.
The unit sleeps six people comfortably with one king bed, two twin beds and a sleeper sofa, along with two full bathrooms. It has a spacious kitchen for cooking meals and a dining area, as well as a living room with a large sofa and flat screen television. WiFi included.
Outside, you can relax at the pool, or hit the beaches (chairs and umbrellas available for rent from beach service during the summer). You won’t find a better location – a walkable area about as close as you can get to the Hangout (home to the well-known music festival) and the annual National Shrimp Festival, as well as local seafood restaurants and beach bars. Shopping at the Tanger Outlets is an easy drive down the road.
There are plenty of golf courses nearby too, as well as a zoo, waterparks and churches. This is a non-smoking, pet-free unit. Parking and laundry available. Book year round. Perfect for snowbirds!

It was a great location to everything. Very easy check in and very clean

Loved the property, location, and views. Clean. Had everything we needed. Loved having very few people and no noise. Beach wasn’t crowded and the pool was nice with just us in the pool when we were down there. The only thing I would change is the mattresses (needed to be softer) and maybe put the tall Adirondack chairs on balcony.

First, the owners of this property are absolutely lovely and extremely accommodating. Second, even though the condo could use some updating, it provided all we needed for a relaxing friends weekend. The beach is just a step outside the property and coffee on the balcony in the morning and champagne in the evenings capped the stay. Will definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your home.

This little condo was in the best location! Exactly what we were looking for in a beach rental! While it was a bit dated and yes, the master bed was quite hard (lol), neither of those things took away from the convenience of being right at the beach, the pool and so many great restaurants. We would definitely come back again to Douthern Sands and the girgeous beaches of Alabama! Thank you for a great week!

This property was prime location. Beach was right outside of the facility and you can be in the water literally minutes from the door! Beaches are beautiful and not overcrowded.
Great food options were within walking distance which was a bonus! The Hangout is a short walk as well. Would definitely stay here again!

My family stayed here for our first time Gulf Shores. We loved the condo as it was a perfect location, right on the beach and close enough to walk to activities for the kids. The fact that it was a smaller complex allowed the kids to head down to the pool while we were still getting beach items ready. Would love to stay here again!

This was our first time to Gulf Shores and we really enjoyed it! Perfect location, walkable area. Easy access to the beach. We met so many nice people staying at our complex, some were regulars. Only complaints were that the king bed in the master bedroom was super firm and I do wish there had been a washer/dryer in the condo instead of having to pay to wash clothes in the shared laundry room down the hall. With little kids you go through clothes and towels quick!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The balcony view is incredible. The beachfront is amazing and it does not get overcrowded like both public areas. We decided it was the best beach around. The condo is just the right size and was clean. And it was quiet for the most part since we stayed in May. The pool area is clean and comfortable. I wish you could see the Gulf from the pool but its a short walk and balcony makes up for that. We really enjoyed this property.
The hosts are very quick to respond to any questions as well. Very much appreciated.
Our only wish for this property is second bedroom have a queen instead of 2 singles. Or a full and a twin. But it still worked for 3 adults.
Side note even if you are a music lover, and we are, my advice would be to steer well away from the yearly Hangout Music Festival. The area was way over crowded and the streets in that area are blocked off, we had a heck of a time figuring out how to get into the parking lot. And there are people running around in next to nothing which is not appropriate for small children to see. And it is very loud until about midnight after the fireworks show which feels like its right outside the condo. We were happy we had arrived on the last night of that then pure bliss the rest of the time.

We had a blast! The view from the condo was exactly what we hoped for, The water was beautiful and clear and the sand was super soft. There were many walkable restaurants and shops and the people were all very friendly. Great place to stay!

We go to Gulf Shores a couple times a year. We have always stayed in the high rise buildings. Gave this unit a try. Absolutely loved it. Matter of fact, we may try to stay every time it is available. Short walk to the beach and balcony faces the beach.

Let me start by saying you will not find a better location on the Gulf Shores strip. Literally steps from the beach. Close enough to walk to some amazing restaurants. Far enough away from the big crowds to relax. Again location is amazing. The condo itself is a little dated and the primary bed wasn’t the most comfortable (had a hump in the middle). Easily overlooked with all the positives here. The family had a great time thank you for the hospitality.

The location was perfect, close to restaurants, shopping, etc. The owners were awesome with communication and helping us through some technical issues that were our issues, not theirs. This location is great. Walk right out to the beach from the condo. The unit itself could use some updates and some attention to detail with the cleaning. It was acceptable but not perfectly clean. The pool definitely has seen better days. We swam but the edges are rough and the concrete is cracking and chipping. There are no lights for night swimming like the pools next door. The balcony view is fantastic for dolphin watching. Take extra toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and dishwasher pods for a family.

You can't find a better location. Beachfront on a soft, sandy beach. We had some wifi and cable issues due to the intense storms, and the owner was quick to respond and act. 2 washers and 2 dryers on the floor for 6 units. Never was a wait to use. Charcoal grills available. Beautiful view from the deck. We saw dolphins every day.

Overall, this was a great property. The location was amazing. Right on the beach with easy walks to restaurants and shops. My one piece of advice would be to monitor your cleaners better. I was a little disappointed by the lack of cleanliness overall. So much dust and grime in certain areas.

Just a few quick things to note:
1. The location is PERFECT! you are close enough to shopping and entertainment without being surrounded by stores. HOWEVER, if you go in May, make sure you see when the Hangout has its big annual concert. The noise was nonstop for the first two days we were there. The attire was not family-friendly either. Not the property owner's problem, just something to be aware of when booking.
2. The Master bedroom is not directly connected to the bathroom.
3. The appliances and all furniture were great. Note that the bed in the master bedroom is FIRM! Firmest mattress I have ever slept on. It's name-brand and relatively new...it's just crazy firm.

Can’t beat the location. It was perfect proximity to beach and local restaurants. Property managers were quick to respond to our questions. There isn’t much to report as issues, and we only have improvement recommendations, which would be new bath towels, add a headboard to the kind bed, and offer a few dish washer pods.

This is a perfect two bedroom condo, with orivate balconi right on the beach. Walking distance to everything! You can walk to shops, restaurants, and bars. Cant wait to book again!
