Adorei a casa. Tem tudo o que podemos precisar para uma estadia. A vista é top e recomendo para uns dias de sossego numa vila cheia de história.

O melhor do alojamento é a localização dentro da muralha, com vistas sobre as planícies alentejanas. A melhor experiência é tomar algo na varanda do terraço com o pôr do sol de fundo.
É também uma moradia com divisões confortáveis e com todas as comodidades para passar uns dias tranquilos na zona de Monsaraz.
O estilo tradicional dá-lhe um certo charme.
Necessita de algumas reparações/renovações, principalmente na casa de banho da suite.
Sendo uma casa tradicional não é adequada a pessoas com mobilidade reduzida, visto ter muitos degraus e patamares. Alguns pés direitos e a altura de algumas portas são demasiado baixos para a maioria das pessoas.
Necessita também de melhor iluminação noturna.

Altes Steinhaus innerhalb der Stadtmauern zu 2 Gästezimmern umfunktioniert. Wir hatten ganzes Haus für uns alleine, zum Teilen wäre es etwas unangehm. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Sehr gute Matratze und Kissen.
Die Suite dürfte eigentlich nicht als Suite ausgeschrieben werden, das ist lediglich ein Zimmer mit Balkon. Sehr enges Badezimmer, welches nur mit einer Glaswand zum Zimmer abgeteilt ist (gerade auf WC sitzen geht nicht / Dusche für grosse und korpulente Leute wohl fast nicht zugänglich)

Being able to stay right in the medieval village within the castle walls was a magical experience. The property had a modern bedroom with floor to ceiling windows and the small terrace from which it was possible to view the sunset.
Since the property is within a medieval building, the living room was quite dark. Wouldn't recommend if you plan to stay indoors for a significant time during the day.

We Loved the character if the house, and its location and history. We had a great room with view. Nice shower. Once I turned the boiler on!
Lovely Comfortable bed. A cold but well equipped kitchen. A Coffee ☕️ machine too.
We stayed in early January, so it was cold. The heating is limited. So wear warm clothing. It has an easy code entry.
Location is right near entrance gate and car parks. So not far to walk.
We loved being here, when not many people and tourists. We've visited before about 6 years ago and it was busy in May.
Good communication with hosts.
The Heating was not on when we arrived and no instructions for the boiler or heating in cold weather, so it was a cold house!
We got some heating on eventually. Wear warm clothing.

inside the medieval walled city with great views
when we arrived no one was there so tried to call the telephone numbers on the property door in order to be let in. turns out the numbers on the door are 1 digit out and after several failed attempts to call we text Booking.com and saw the phone number on the booking was different. it would have been much more professional for the owners to let us have the key code in advance.

Perfect location within city walls and ancient atmosphere.

We arrived at 8 in the evening and ALL the restaurants were closed. We didn't expect this at all and had to hurry to find a supermarket some 20 Km from there to buy some food for the evening.
The apartment is nice but needs an update / refresh (oven buttons are broken, light is poor and inefficient). The balcony gives a beautiful view but it is dangerous to stand on. The bathroom is modern design but the lay out is inappropriate and doesn't offer any privacy. The bathroom is separated by a glass screen and a glass sliding door dat doesn't close properly. You cannot use the toilet when someone else is in the sleeping room.

Location was superb
The rental is described as a little hotel so we were expecting a staff member to greet us and just 1 room with breakfast.
In fact, when you rent a room, you get the whole house and no breakfast of course.
This was lovely but very confusing.
The information on the web needs either a better translation to English or an update.

This is the cutest place to stay - located within the walls of the castle but easily accessible since the car can stop a few meters away to drop off passengers and luggages.
The views are stunning and inside it's much bigger than it looks - we only took 2 of 4 rooms in the house, there are also 2 living rooms and a dinning area, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The place was tidy when we got there and we felt most comfortable during our stay.
We couldn't open the balcony door, but given the amounts of wasps we saw outside, we were glad for it! Nothing to not like about this place!

The property is arranged as 3 independent bedrooms that that share a common kitchen, TV and dining area which work well if you know the other guests but might be a bit awkward if they are strangers. Has the feeling of a student accommodation.
The advertised washing machine was removed and no alternative was available.
The common areas heating was underpowered for the winter temperatures.

Very spacious, clean, cozy and well decorated. Authentic old house but greatly refurbished. Spectacular view. Comfortable bed. We hd a great stay here.

The location was situated inside the ancient castle walls. The interiors were decorated in good taste and were comfortable.

Casa D ' Santiago had no exterior signage. We had to ask at the tourist info site for its location. Wonderful little town.

Our room was lovely, comfortable bed, great view, nice terrace, good shower.
Check in was difficult, poor signage, nobody there, no instructions. Room was not ready and then cleaner could not get in because we had the key. No English spoken.
