About this apartment rental

Water Street Retreat is across the street from the Kalamazoo river and the Ship N shore Motel. It has just been remodeled with high end finishes and decor. It is walking distance to town, restaurants, entertainment. This Quaint condo has a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen pullout couch for a total occupancy of up to 4. This cottage is available all year around so you can enjoy Saugatuck Spring, Summer, Fall and winter. In the fall take in the local wineries, orchards, and hard cider mills all within 10 min of Saugatuck. In the winter enjoy the beauty of the lake effect snow Saugatuck gets and hike in the trails or rent some cross country skis. Downhill ski resorts such as bitter sweet is only a 40 minute drive.

By renting this cottage you are agreeing to the following rules:

(All rules are strictly enforced)

1.) All of our rentals are non-smoking.
2.) You and your guests are using our home at your own risk. We nor the owner of the property will be held responsible for any injuries that occur at the vacation rental or for any lost or stolen items.
3.) No boats or trailers are to be parked at our rental properties. Tents of any kind are not allowed. There is parking for one cars in front of cottage. Parking is allowed on the street.
4.) Do not move the furniture.
5.) Each cottage has a maximum number of guests that is listed on this contract you must verify that it is correct. That number is not to be exceeded - this includes children and adults. For fire safety, we are required to limit the number in each home. If additional people are found to be staying at the cottage the entire group will be asked to vacate with no refund. Inflatable mattresses or alternative sleeping other than pack n plays or cribs are not allowed. Tents are also not allowed on the property.
6.) Pets are not permitted. If a pet is on the property then there will be a $1500 fee and it will be required that the owner board the pet immediately.
7.) Damages are to be reported during your stay. If we find damage after you vacate, you authorize the charge to your credit card for replacement or repair or provide another credit card number, pay by cash or check. Damages reported upon arrival will not be guests' responsibility.
8.) Cleaners will come to the cottage after you have departed - they will not visit to clean, change linens, or replace towels during your stay. Please contact the office should you need assistance during your stay regarding any cleaning items.
9.) Grills are to be cleaned after each use.
10.) Quiet time is after 10pm nightly. We do not tolerate loud groups and college like parties anytime of the day or night.
11.) You are at least 25 years old and will be able to verify with valid identification during your stay if needed.
12.) Weddings and formal events are NOT permitted on our properties, if there is found to be a formal event on the property the entire group will be asked to vacate the property with a no refund. It is acceptable to have a visitors during the day hours but that number can not be more than double the maximum occupancy of the cottage.

These rules are strictly enforced due to NEW city and township ordinances. This contract is the only warning you will get. If any rules are not followed all local fines, security deposits and any other charges will be charged to guest and the entire group will be asked to vacate the property. This communication is necessary so that your vacation experience is a good one for your group and our neighboring community. Please ENJOY your stay!

Can’t beat the location. Perfect base for walking downtown saugatuck, Douglas and the beach. Condo was comfy and clean. Perfect size for a couple. My only compliant, is you can hear EVERYTHING from upstairs occupants. And unfortunately for us, they were up every morning by 6-6:30. Would still highly recommend.

Wonderful place. Great for our small family of 4. You cannot beat this location! This was our second time staying and it was equally as great as the first time. Very clean, plenty of linens! We will absolutely be back!

The cottage is cozy and convenient. We loved the handy parking and short walk to restaurants and shops. It was very comfortable and provided everything needed to enjoy our stay! This was perfect for a short trip to enjoy Sagatauck!

My husband and I went on a last minute weekend trip to Saugatuck. Found this little apartment to be very clean and comfortable! It feels even more spacious than it looks in the photos. Ample space for 2 or even 4! Plenty of linens, towels, and well appointed kitchenette. Right in the heart of downtown with river views. Tons of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Great find.

We spent the weekend in Saugatuck. This property is right in the heart of all that is happening. Provides your own off street parking space. We were able to walk easily to shop and eat. The room was clean and neat and had everything we needed. Larger than a hotel room, which is nice. We were able to relax in the living room and watch tv. Nice up to date kitchen and bath. Overall a great experience.

The condo is very well-kept and well-located. However, to require that guests paying such high rents to empty the garbage, run the dishwasher, strip the beds and bag the laundry is over the top! This type of cleaning is what you are paying for!!

Great place to stay with walking distance to so much and a short drive to everything else. The only watch out I can share is as other reviews have mentioned you can hear foot steps from the unit above.

Property was clean and perfect size for 2 guests. Easy walk to downtown shopping / food. Check in process was delayed. Could not find instructions on how to access entry. Called VRBO and they were unable to reach property manager. I also messaged them and did not receive a response. VRBO was ultimately able to help me. Overall good experience with my 2 night stay.

The unit was nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and a roomy living room. It was very clean. There are restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. The only downside is that the footsteps of upstairs occupants can be clearly heard, along with their voices occasionally. It wasn't really a problem, as they weren't up late at night, but it could be a factor in staying here.

Great location downtown. Quite even though it was on a busy street. Read previous reviews that upstairs neighbor was loud but did not find that to be true. You could hear the neighbor walking around, but that was about it.

The location was great, very walkable and plenty of restaurants and shops within a couple blocks. loved having designated parking spot & the little porch with two chairs was nice addition. Plenty of nice towels in bathroom. A couple negatives, could use new mattress, very soft & uncomfortable. Also, you could hear loud walking from the unit above us & unfortunately it started at about 10pm and continued for several hours each night. Maybe next time we can look into an upper unit.

This quaint place is the perfect location to walk all over downtown. Easy access to everything you could need. Very helpful to have an assigned parking space so you don’t need to search or fight for one. Saved a lot of time!!!

We enjoyed staying in town within walking distance to restaurants and the water. We did have noisy upstairs neighbors. The only thing missing was a washer and a dryer in the condo. Loved our stay!

Awesome location

Perfect size for us! Pack n play for our 11 month old fit in the bedroom and would also fit nicely in the living room. Steps away from local restaurants and shopping and a quick drive to South Haven, Holland, Grand Haven and more. Highly recommend!
