About this villa rental

You will be delighted by this unique property, that is located in the wilderness, away from the crowds and noise, just 16 kilometres from the sea. The big swimming pool (12.5 m x 6 m) is a paradise for children and swimmers. You will love resting and sunbathing on the terrace, listening to the cicadas and the whisper of the wind. You will be fascinated by sunsets on the surrounding landscapes… You will discover the flora and fauna that enchant this 6941-m2 kingdom of wild nature!

Our villa is an ideal place for holidays with family or friends. It is located in the La Lieutenante residential development, which is unique on the French Riviera by its high-quality spaces, free of any construction, and its big plots (5000 m2 on average).

The La Lieutenante residential development is surrounded on all sides by wild nature. It is located at the foot of the magnificent rocks of the Estérel. In such an environment, you will breathe clean air and enjoy holidays away from the noise and the bustle of the coast. La Lieutenante is located on the territory of the rural commune of Puget-sur-Argens, away from the village itself.

Our villa is comfortable. As it is single-storey, with no stairs to navigate, it is suitable for both small kids and the elderly.

It comprises an entrance hall, a living-room with direct access to the terrace and the swimming pool, a dining-room, a separate kitchen with all amenities (a hood, an electric oven and a glass electric cooktop, a microwave oven, a refrigerator-freezer and a table top refrigerator, a dishwasher, a washing-machine) and 5 bedrooms:
. One bedroom with a double bed.
. One bedroom with two single beds pushed together.
. Two bedrooms with two single beds separated.
. One single bedroom.

Each bedroom features a fan.

The beds will be made for your arrival. We provide bed linen, towels and tea towels.

There are two bathrooms: one is shared and has a shower. The other one is adjacent to the bedroom with two single beds pushed together and has a bathtub.

The villa features a wi-fi high-speed internet access that perfectly works (Orange Box modem-router).

The terrace and the swimming pool are very well exposed: facing south! The temperature of water quickly reaches 25° C.

The swimming-pool is cleaned and maintained weekly. It is surrounded by a compulsory security fence that complies with French legislation. Fences are the best system to ensure the security of small kids around a swimming pool. Nevertheless, always keep a close eye on your children when they bathe or play around a swimming pool..

Our charming hostess will be there to meet you on arrival and when you leave. She will show you and explain you everything.

. CHECK-INS AND CHECKOUTS ARE ONLY ON SATURDAYS;

. IT IS FORBIDDEN TO DISMANTLE THE SWIMMING POOL FENCE AND ITS GATE (FRENCH LAW);

. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 AND THOSE WHO CANNOT SWIM SHOULD ACCESS THE SWIMMING POOL ONLY UNDER CLOSE PARENTAL SUPERVISION.

. THE USE OF THE BARBECUE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED DUE TO THE VERY HIGH RISK OF FIRE IN THE REGION; ONLY THE USE OF THE PLANCHA, ON THE TERRACE, IS AUTHORIZED;

. ANY DISTURBANCE OF THE PEACE IS FORBIDDEN IN THE DAYTIME AND AT NIGHT IN THE VILLA; PARTIES AND EVENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE VILLA, NOT TO DISTURB THE PEACE OF THE NEIGHBOURHOOD.

The owners manual was the initial indication all was not well with a multitude of bluntly delivered instructions as long as your arm. We arrived in 38 degrees of heat to find only one very old fan for the whole house, no air conditioning, very poor insulation and all the furniture, crockery and beds very old and worn. The house had also never been cleaned properly, every window ledge was really dirty, the grills in the walls full of spiders and webs. Having purchased fans for every room as sleep was impossible without them (to date the owner offered a refund to get us to leave all the fans then never paid us) we were mildly more comfortable but due to the property being in the middle of an uncleared wooded site there wasn’t a breath of wind. It was unbearably hot which just made everything else worse. The biggest issue however, if this wasn’t enough, was the my 80 year old Mum slept in the single room and sustained once of the worse case of insect bites from an infestation in the room. Bed bugs, fleas, spiders? The photographs of her torso are eye watering. She was extremely poorly with her body full of poison and bites. Definitely not mosquitos. The owner admitted that the room hadn’t been used for years but the lack of care and cleanliness, old and patchwork beds and furnishing clearly led to this being able to happen. We checked out early as soon as we could (we had booking for activities in the area) choosing to spend money (again not refunded) instead of having to endure another moment in the shabbiest of holiday homes I have ever come across. Here we have an owner intent on being right, totally uncaring about the experience of his guests with the hapless ‘Sylvie’ sent to ineffectually listen (speaking no English!) whilst he communicates from his summer house in Russia. VRBO have been singularly useless in trying to get us a refund for the fans, the hotel or indeed the abject mis-selling of this property. Their app and online complaints contact built to frustrate. Words can’t express what a dismal experience we had in this house.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans la villa dans un cadre provençal calme, un accès direct à de belles promenades forestières et à 15 minutes des magasins de proximité. La maison se situe dans une propriété privée et sécurisée et nous avons profité des équipements de la maison comme par exemple : - la grande piscine - La terrasse ensoleillée et les chaises longues - Des appareils récents (frigo, grille pain, hotte.... et même d'un grill électrique qui a été fourni alors que la plancha extérieure n''est pas encore opérationnelle du fait de retards liés au COVID. La maison reste à une température modérée la nuit si vous prenez bien soin de fermer portes et fenêtres durant la journée et notre séjour était très agréable.
