About this villa rental
Villa Ruby Lucas is a short 10 min stroll to the fabulous Marina Rubicon, in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. The Marina has many bars & restaurants, & is just 450 metres from the beach at Playa de Los Colorados, and is perfect for the sun worshipers, with its south facing garden, & balcony with views across the Marina & over to Fuerteventura, and it gets the sun in the private garden all day in the summer AND in the winter, it is also sheltered from the wind, ideal for winter sunbathing. There is a shaded area perfect for alfresco dining.
It is a family owned private villa with all UK TV programmes, including Sky/BT/Bein sports & movies, on a 42 inch flatscreen TV. In March 2022 a new family bathroom was fitted, with walk-in overhead shower, and in December 2022 a new kitchen, and solana / utility room were fitted, giving you everything you may need. We have a master double bedroom with a built in wardrobes, leading to an ensuite refurbished in September 2023 which has twin sinks, a large walk in overhead shower. Looking out of the en-suite window of the villa you can see Fuerteventura. Off the master bedroom is the balcony, which has outdoor seating & coffee table, this is great for sunrise & sunsets, and offers a great view of the Marina Rubicon. There are two more bedrooms, one has a king size bed the other has two single beds both with plenty of storage in wardrobes / cupboards. There is also downstairs toilet. Whatever your looking for, this is a home from home. In the Solana you will find an ironing board, iron, washing machine, mops, that every household requires.
The villa comes alive with its south facing garden which gets the sun all day, there is a shaded area where the outside dining table is (seats 6). Air con is fitted in both the south facing rooms (living room & master bedroom), the north facing rooms both have fan lights, as does the dining room in case you don’t like air con.
With this open plan living/dinning room you will never be short of space. The inside dining table comfortably seats 6 and there is Plenty of room for families, but nice and cosy for couples. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you could wish for (dish washer, oven, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, cafetière). There are ample plates/dishes etc... so whether you plan on eating out or at home you will want for nothing. There is also a large Canarian BBQ on the patio area along with an outside dinning table and chairs, and outside sofa/lounger. There are 6 new sun beds as of Dec 2022. The villa is situated one minute walk from two great supermarkets (Iceland /Waitrose & HyperDino) to buy everything you could possibly need & they sell charcoals for the BBQ.
All towels and bedding are provided along with a hair dryer and washing machine so no need to pack too much. There is an airer to dry your clothes on. The pool is 5 metres by 3 metres, and is heated to 29 degrees in the winter months, it is not required in the summer when the temperature goes above 29. There is no access to the garden other than through the house, so you will never be disturbed, and children can’t wander off without you knowing. The tiling around the pool has been renewed with anti slip tiles in 2021.
We can provide cots, high chairs and car seats at an extra cost, via our management company. This is ordered in advance and paid for on arrival. The enclosed garden/pool area means you wont be overlooked and have plenty of privacy while being near enough to all amenities. We can cater for couples or families up to six and will try and cater for everyone's needs or any special requests.

A modern, well laid out villa with everything you could need and a lovely outdoor area with plenty of seating and an inviting pool. Turn one way out of the villa and after a 20 minute walk you are at Rubicon Marina where you will find a good selection of restaurants, turn the other way and after about a 25 minute walk/hike you will be at Papagayo beach. Plus, at the end of the road you have 2 supermarkets and a couple of bars.

This villa was everything we wanted and more.
It was spacious,clean and in a brilliant location. Rubicon Marina, with plenty of restaurants to chose from, is only a 20 minute walk away.Ouside is a nice seating area with a decent size pool,that in the Winter period, is heated.
Comunication with Julia (who responded quickly with any queries we might have had) was spot on.
I highly recommend this villa,so much so that we have already booked it for 2025.

Loved every minute of the stay and would not hesitate to return. The location is ideal for both a walk to the marina and less than 5 mins walk to the both supermarkets. Contact with Julia was first class and very helpful and informative.

We loved our stay at Villa Ruby Lucas, the villa was clean and well maintained. Just as described with a supermarket a two minute walk away and an English supermarket 3 mins away.
The pool was lovely and warm, but still refreshing on those hot days. The positioning of the villa means it gets sun all day long with shady area to shelter if needed (and parasol).
The nearby Marina is lovely with shops and plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy a bite to eat. We also explored in the other direction and found a small shopping centre with some gift shops and cafes.

We had a lovely stay in Playa Blanca and the Villa.
The location was perfect, everything is walking distance heat dependent but quite hilly.
The villa was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The two twin bedrooms could maybe do with air conditioning for the very hot summer days as was uncomfortable for the children at night when the temperatures reached over 35.
The owners were extremely helpful and responsive and kind by leaving some essentials for when we arrived.
We would definitely recommend this villa for a family holiday.

Brilliant stay with the Villa having everything we needed and exactly as pictured and described in the listing. 10/15 mins walk to Marina Rubicon and lots of restaurants and a supermarket at the end of the road which has everything needed. Great communication from Julia throughout.

The villa was a perfect size for our family. It had everything you could want. Location is amazing, 2 minutes from excellent supermarket and small cafe/bar. 10-15 min stroll along the front to the marina, which has amazing restaurants. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The villa was an excellent place to unwind and relax, a brilliant mix of sunbathing spots along with shady places to cool off for a minute. The pool though small is the perfect size and being smaller allows it to stay warm enough to allow for dips in and out to cool off without being shocking.
The location is quiet and relaxing so if your looking for a way to unwind from stress of normal life this is the place to be.
The property owners could not have been more helpful - an issue with AC was dealt with a soon as possible, going so far as to hire a temp mobile AC unit untill it could be fixed properly.
Would thoroughly recommend this villa.

From initial communication with the manager/owner and from check in the check out we couldn’t have asked for more. The Villa location is fantastic, supermarket at the end of the road, the most beautiful 10 minute walk to the Marina. The Villa is the perfect size, very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Lovely outside space, a real sun trap protecting us from any wind. Perfect for families and sunbathers alike. The pool is a good size and was heated, we used it several times everyday. There’s really nothing we didn’t like. Already discussing booking to come back.

Having spent 6 weeks at Villa Ruby Lucas it should have highlighted any shortcomings. There were none. The accommodation was perfect for our needs,. It was comfortable, quiet and offered the privacy you would expect from a holiday villa. It’s location is excellent and a comfortable stroll along the coastal walkway to Rubicon marina with its restaurants, bars and shops. A well stocked supermarket at the end of street proved extremely convenient. Julia was easily contactable and promptly addressed the very few queries that we had. We highly recommend this villa and certainly hope to return in the near future.

Communication with owners was great, kids certainly appreciated access to UK tv and Netflix. Property is a little larger than pictures suggest but also a little more tired. Sun beds have definitely seen better days and one was broken. Proximity to supermarket and Marina is perfect. Little disappointed by nearest beach, Playa Dorada is better, but good 30 min walk with kids and my mother, and very busy. Sadly could not contact taxis at all and only managed to book transfer back to the airport via website. Will return to area but will definitely hire a car in advance as none available in resort.

A perfect week in the sun for myself and my wife. The Villa is close to the airport and in walking distance of bars and restaurants. There is a cafe and supermarket at the end of the road and the villa is in a perfection position. It is quiet, peaceful and relaxing.
The Villa itself is clean, and has recently had a new main bathroom fitted. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything required. The TV has endless channels and the wifi is strong and reliable.
The pool is perfect to dip in when you need to cool off and the back garden has the sun all day.

Fantastic Holiday!
Julia, the property owner, was amazing - So helpful and thoughtful. The villa was perfect for our family and the photos didn't do it justice. The pool was cleaned twice weekly and the villa cleaned once weekly - all staff friendly and helpful.
The villa is at the end of a quiet residential street, so it afforded us the peace and quiet we were craving. We had everything we needed and the local supermarket was less than 5mins walk away.
Proximity to the Marina was also a bonus as we had a brief 1/2 mile / 10min walk to all the shops and restaurants. Great food and somewhere different to eat every night.
The weather was also perfect - We went at half-term (and following week) in May/June and it was in the late 20s/early 30 degrees, which was hot enough. There was a warm breeze all the time and the villa had plenty of fans and air con units.
The local beaches were all within 15mins walk and we've never seen seas so clear. The snorkelling is highly recommended and the fish are friendly!
As soon as we returned home we started looking into availability again.
Many thanks to Julia for her help and patience. We hadn't used Vrbo before, but we certainly would again. An easy and pain-free booking experience.

Fantastic villa
We have just returned from a week at this wonderful villa. It is lovely with everything you could need. The supermarket and a lovely bar Antonio’s are just at the end of the street. The marina is a fifteen minute walk full of bars and restaurants!

Lovely break
After two years of cancellations, and moving holidays, we couldn't have asked for a better place.
As advertised, with everything that you needed. Dino supermarket 2min walk away has pretty much everything you need. Sun shone on the pool area for most of the day. Gentle stroll to the marina where you will find various restaurants.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks of just relaxing, and would recommend.

This cosy villa has everything you need for relaxing holidays. The kitchen is very well equipped. Barbecue is available in the garden. The garden with the small heated pool is a gem especially in winter month. However, the garden surley does not have 1.800 square meters.
From the first floor terrace you have a good view towards the sea to enjoy the amazing sunsets.
The apartment is very near to the Paseo Maritimo and the supermarket with everything you need can be reached in two minutes by foot.
The early checkin made our arrival in the morning really pleasant.

A wonderful location
We had a wonderful stay in the villa. The villa was lovely and clean and the bedrooms were cool, had very comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The location was fantastic. It had parking and a supermarket you could walk to at the end of the road. The best bit about it was that you could do an easy, beautiful, 15 minute walk along the paved coast path to the marina where there were lots of really nice bars and restaurants to choose from. It was all lit and felt very safe to walk back in the dark in the evening.
The garden was nice and sheltered from any wind so the kids loved jumping in the pool and then drying off on the sun loungers. We had 3 BBQs in the garden too. Julia, the owner was super helpful with any questions and responded straight away. All round it was a really lovely, easy, relaxing holiday.

Just returned from a lovely week in this great villa. It is situated in a quiet part of Playa Blanca but only about 10/15 mins walk along a lovey flat promenade to plenty of bars and restaurants. The villa itself was ideal for us and the description is definitely accurate with so many extras included. My husband was delighted with all the sports channels on the TV! The welcome pack was a lovely bonus to arrive to especially the wine. Julia the owner was fantastic to deal with and nothing was too much trouble for her and the queries were answered immediately. Would love to return there.

Excellent stay, perfect villa
We almost had to cancel due to government guidance. However, Julia was extremely helpful in recommending specialist insurance which enabled us to have a wonderful holiday. The villa was amazing in every way. Fantastic location, three good sized bedrooms with plenty of storage room, safe and secure pool area. Julia had thought of everything, even down to items such as a sewing kit, freezer box for picnics with plenty of freezer packs, pump for inflatables and many, many more things that meant we had everything we needed. Perfect villa, perfect host. We will definitely go again and highly recommend it.

Lovely villa, great location
One of the best villas we've ever rented ! Really well equipped, well maintained, good sized bedrooms and nice lounge/diner area.
Outside space is just as lovely, heated pool, comfy loungers, clean barbeque. Outside area is south facing so you have the sun for virtually the whole day, although table and chairs on the patio are almost always in shade for those that don't like lounging in the sun.
The villa is in a quiet residential road, with a small drive for off road parking of one car. 15-20 minute walk to the Marina with its wide choice of bars and restaurants, and a really well stocked supermarket a 3 minute walk away at the bottom of the road.
Would definitely book again, great and prompt communication with Julia throughout the process.

Lovely villa, really well equipped. So easy to book and Julia was really quick to respond and was very helpful. Good location. Short walk to the promenade. Two handy supermarkets at the end of the road which had everything we needed. Would definitely book again.

Great for a family stay
We have just returned from our stay in Villa Ruby, what a lovely villa ideal for families or a couple who like space.
Upon arrival the villa was clean tidy with some provisions in the fridge to start our holiday, the shop at the top of the road is a 5 min walk and is reasonably priced so no need to trek miles for provisions.
The Villa is very spacious with a good size kitchen and dinning room or a good size table to eat on the patio everything is at hand for you to enjoy your holiday. The pool was nice and warm and well maintained.
The villa is about a 15 min walk to the marina and then a further 30 mins to town which is a nice stroll along the seafront.
I would recommend Villa Ruby to anyone and we will return next year given the chance, should you decide to book this Villa you wont be disappointed.

Fantastic!
We have just returned from a two week stay at villa ruby and already want to go back! The villa was amazing, it was very welcoming and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us.
The location of the villa was great with it only being a short walk from the marina or for lazy days there was a bus at the end of the road. There is plenty of things to do and we didn't feel like hiring a car was a necessity to be able to explore, even with two young children.
The marina has lots of places to eat and the market of a Wednesday and Saturday is definitely a must.
Couldnt recommend villa ruby enough.
