We loved staying a the Sunshine Retreat. The house was clean and fully stocked with household items. It felt like we were at home. We loved the privacy and access to water. Kids loved being able to fish and swim. There were snacks for us and a special present we were happy to take home with us. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home. Look forward to coming back.

Fantastic long weekend at this beautiful house in Rockport. It was very centrally located and convenient. The house came stocked with all the basics and the hosts went above and beyond by ensuring there were thing such as coffee filters, spices, and extra trashbags! We've stayed in many rentals and have never had that personal touch. It really stood out and made our stay that much more relaxing.
While there, we had a hiccup with the pool. The host responded to my text immediately and had the issue resolved by the time we returned from lunch. It further demonstrated their attention to detail and hospitality.
5/5, 10/10, would absolutely stay here again and will highly recommend to anyone I know visiting the area!

Our family loves Sunshine Retreat for the memories we make here each summer.
The house is always immaculately clean and we always have everything we need during our stay there. We literally just pack our clothes and go! A quick stop at the local H-E-B and we are all set for fun. The pool is awesome, the dock is great to fish under the lights at night, and the internet and tv keep everyone happy when it’s time to relax inside.

We loved our stay at Sunrise. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking /serving. The outside view is breathtaking and the heated pool felt great!. We had a great relaxing weekend. ❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunshine resort. The house is very well taken care of, enjoyed the warm water(heated) pool, green lights on the fishing dock. There is plenty of seating thru ought the house both inside and out. Unfortunately we did not have any luck on the fishing side. There was a cold front that blew in the day we arrived and threw everything off: water level, wind. This is nothing that can be controlled. We will be back for a future stay.

This house was like new: big gorgeous kitchen with large island, two king bedrooms that were good sized, with another bedroom with bunk beds. There is an ensuite master bath and a shared bath. The shared bath was huge and gorgeous, with two sinks. Kristen and the property manager were lovely, answering our questions quickly and coming by to fix a TV. There are four TVs! Great decor. I highly recommend paying the extra fee for heating the pool, especially if the weather is not hot. It was wonderful! Thus was the most well-stocked property we have ever seen, it has everything you might need.

We had an amazing trip at the Sunshine Retreat! Close to town, restaurants and beach. The view with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from the pool and top deck are incredible. We loved having the pool to take a swim anytime of the day. The pool was cloudy, so we contacted the host and she had pool service there to service it that day and it was cleared up by the next morning. Host was prompt to respond to questions. The kitchen had everything we needed as we cooked all of our meals. We had 6 adults and 2 small children, and we had plenty of room for everyone. We would definitely stay again at the Sunshine Retreat!

As a frequent visitor to the Rockport area, we’ve stayed at many vacation rentals and this location has become one of my favorites if not my favorite. Cleanliness is always a priority for me and it was spotless. Beds were comfortable, everything was well stocked, and we paid extra to have the pool heated which was worth every penny. Bathrooms kept full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, so you can leave those at home. We had a slight maintenance issue during our stay and Kristen was quick to answer and send Ben out to fix the problem. Ben even gave us some pointers on fishing from the dock. My husband caught a black drum well over 30lbs if I had to guess, used shrimp from one of the local bait stands. The only call out I have is if you have children and prefer them to use plastic cups, plates, etc…you might want to bring your own. The kitchen is well stocked but it was all breakable items, fortunately I brought child friendly cups and dinnerware because I have kids that like to drop and throw things. I can’t wait to book here again!

Exactly as described. Love the basket of snacks upon arrival. Very nice touch. Master bed very comfy and pillows are perfect. Temperature in pool was awesome. Got to swim each day. Neighbors very friendly. Grilled some yummy fajitas and watched Astros win their 4th game. Perfect relaxing time. Ate dinner at Paradise Key, ask for Hannah as your waitress. Living room very comfortable. Master shower is awesome. Kitchen is well stocked. We will rent again.

Very clean and bright property. Host communicated as needed and quickly. Location is 10 minutes away from almost anything else you want or need to do in the Rockport/Fulton area. The property has just about everything you can think of that you might need, including floats for the pool. Overall, a great experience for my family of four and my wife's mom. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I absolutely loved this home! We had no problem with checking in, we had purchased the pool heated and the owners helped me out understanding how to work it. I do believe the two king beds need some more cushion for my comfort but absolutely LOVE and will return

Perfect location and amenities
This was our second time staying at this rental property and we had an amazing time. We didn’t have much luck this time around fishing off the dock, the tide was to low but we still had a great time. We spent much of our time in the heated pool. The home was fully stocked and clean. We can’t wait to book our next family trip.

We stayed end of March 2022. Two families stayed here, ranging from 8yr old to 47. We had a BLAST!! Recommend paying extra to heat the pool, it felt like a hot tub and that is where we spent a majority of time. 🏊‍♂️🏝

Part of the reason to book the property was the swimming pool but found out after booking it would require an extra $35 per day to heat it. Place was very clean and well stocked and our visit was the right time of year since adjoins properties were mostly empty which we enjoyed the seclusion.

Beautiful place
We really enjoyed our stay. Going in January we took a chance with the weather. Only there a short time an it was cold an really foggy a couple of days but it was beautiful watching the fog lift, an watching all the different bird species! We didn’t catch any fish just a couple of crabs but the kids loved trying. The pool was great when we got the heater to working. Kristen responded right away to help us with that. When the fog lifted a bit we also loved kayaking. We hope to go back in warmer weather!

The owner was super helpful with every step of our vacation. The house is beautiful and is in a perfect location for visiting the area. Perfectly clean… super comfy beds on ALL the beds. The pool heater worked great and was well worth the small fee. There was even snacks on the counter to greet us when we walked in! Salt Lake is fairly shallow, but we were able to catch some catfish, black drum, and red fish using the poles that were already in the garage and just some shrimp we cut up from Walmart. Wi-Fi worked perfect also! Absolutely wonderful retreat! Thanks again!

Best time ever!
This vacation home is beautiful and very clean. I love all the special touches that make you feel welcomed. The home is stocked with everything you will need during your stay. The view is perfect anytime of day. We fished the pier and caught 3 big black drums during our stay, along with redfish, sheep heads, and lady fish. The pool warmer is definitely a plus! We have already booked our next stay. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home.
