Beautifully renovated, 5BR/3BA lakefront house on a peaceful piece of Lake Hartwell in Lavonia, GA. Our home is family friendly and perfect for family vacation or Clemson football weekends. Sleeps up to 15. Free Wi-fi. Recently painted and updated with new floors throughout main floor and master bedroom level. Uniquely decorated modern interior. 3 TV’s with cable. In the Master bedroom there is a King Bed. In the four secondary bedrooms there are 5 queen beds and one single bed. There is a pullout sofa in basement family room. Washer/Dryer. Great lake views. Large deck for entertaining. Indoor fireplace. Brand NEW private boat dock for boating/swimming. Outdoor fire pit. Located 1/2 mile from Franklin Co. boat ramp. You will not be disappointed.

Great location on deep water cove, private dock, beautiful home not too far from I-85. Plenty of parking Was perfect for our crew of 8 adults and 2 children!! Would certainly recommend. The Franklin Co Boat Ramp is literally around the corner.

The home was beautiful. Rooms were great and plenty of space. The back deck was a great way to relax and see the water .. the dock was awesome .. and home owner was great to work with and quick to respond with any questions ! I highly recommend this property

My wife and I take about 1 to 2 trips a year with our group of firends. We've never stayed at Lake Hartwell before, so we weren't sure how much we'd like. I'll that staying at this house made the weekend for us. We have never thought about booking the same place twice until now! This house was very spacious, clean, and located in a very quiet private area. We had plans on going to Clemson for lunch one day, but we just could pull ourselves away from the lake. For us the big seller was the dock. The dock is huge with cover that provides shade throughout the day, but is still big enough to have a large area of full sun for most of the day. Once we finished spending most of the day swimming, floating, and relaxing. We'd go back to the house which has multiple areas for entertaining and relaxing. As a group we agreed that this was probably the best vacation rental we have stayed in yet. Last but not least, the property owner "Lance" was fanatic. I had contacted him prior to our stay with some questions about the property and he was extremely responsive and accommodating.

Lovely home on Lake Hartwell that was perfectly suited for our biennial family Thanksgiving weekend gathering of 15 members. The house provided accommodations for sleeping, food preparation, and eating for our clan. Friday, our 5 families took day trips to Toccoa, Highlands, and Greenville. Saturday was spent watching football and playing games at the house.
We were so pleased we are considering coming back in the summer to take advantage of the lake facilities.

The location of this property is great if you're looking for a lake getaway. It's a beautiful spot and was perfect for our two families. We were able to rent a boat from the marina down the road (Harbor Light Marina) and it was a great way to spend a day. The home is good, big enough for our group and relatively comfortable with plenty of amenities (fire pit, grill, patio, dock, etc.). But between the nightly rental cost and all the fees and additional costs it ended up being almost $700/night. For that cost, I would expect it to be immaculate. It was a little worn and could have used a deep clean and maybe some updated mattresses. Not things I would normally be too critical about but for that price I expected a higher standard. I'm not sure how much control the owner has over the fees so it could be a VRBO thing. Overall, I would recommend this home but still think it's priced a little too high.

All of our 10 adult family members were very pleased with the Gumlog house. Room for everyone. The four kid members (under adult supervision) had a blast paddling the owner's Kayak. Our two night stay was too short as the main purpose of our trip was focused on a wedding. However, it would be great to come back for a lengthier stay and not be so consumed with a tight schedule.

Perfect location and just far enough away from the congestion. We had a total of 10 (5 adults and 5 teenagers) and the accommodations were perfect for this size group and bigger. House was clean and everything was accurate for the the listing. Lance was quick to respond to questions and the neighbors were very nice. Looking forward to coming back one day!

We had a great time staying at this property! There was enough room for all of us. The house was cozy and newly updated. The owner communicated very clearly and timely with any questions! We loved our stay and made many memories there.

Everything was great except it was hard to put things in fridge because it didn’t open wide loved it would do it again. Owner was wonderful and easy to reach.

Great few days at the lake. Location is excellent. We enjoyed the dock and making s’mores at night. The house was clean and the view from the family room is amazing.

Daughter’s college graduation from Clemson
As others have commented, the pictures don’t depict how beautiful this home is! Just a perfect Lake House nestled in a pristine location on beautiful Lake Hartwell. The view from that family living room with the expansive floor to ceiling windows—Wow!! My group consisted of 10 members of my family ranging from age 16 to 81. Everyone commented on how great the home was and were incredibly pleased with all the comfort it offered. Multiple bedrooms with larger beds (not bunk beds or twins) that suited us perfectly; also, the 3 full bathrooms were a lifesaver. The house had everything you need to cook a meal, grill out, or just kick back and relax. The younger crew included 5 “kids” ages 16-29…not a single complaint amongst them👍Of note: the fire pit and dock were a huge hit!!
The owner, Lance, could not have been nicer and responded to every question I had regarding the property, surrounding area, stores, etc.
If you are looking for a beautiful, comfortable lake house…look no further; you will not be disappointed. I Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!

Great place!
House was beautiful, with plenty of room for the 11 people in our group. Lance was responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed use of the kayak, and there was room for the 3 boats we brought. My nephews loved fishing, and my parents were so thrilled, they want to make this an annual retreat spot! Thank you for a great weekend away!

89th Birthday/Mother Daughter Retreat
We celebrated our mom's 89th birthday and "All" had an excellent time. Things that were left like scissors, fire starters, etc...were all there for us to use. The place was excellent!! Can't wait to return!!

Wonderful Weekend Retreat
Wow! I rented this amazing property for a wellness retreat and all I can say is wow! The pictures don’t do it any justice. All my friends kept saying how beautiful the house and the property were. This home was super clean and well appointed. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes, seasonings, and cleaning supplies. There were tons of towels, blankets, and linens. There was ample room for us to spread out and the furniture was very comfortable. Perfect for a weekend of lounging.
The best part of the stay was our host. Lance was flexible and accommodating of all of our needs. He was very communicative in the weeks leading up to the trip and was available all weekend whenever we needed to speak to him. He was friendly and made us feel comfortable.
A plus- The long term residents in the area were all so nice to us. Whenever they saw us out at the lake or on a walk, they made sure to make us feel welcome.
This was a phenomenal experience and we’re already planning our next visit!

Wish we could have stayed longer.
We rented this lake house for a Clemson football weekend. Beautiful house and convenient location. 40 minute drive to Clemson. Communication with the owner was easy and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again and maybe next time spend more time on the lake!

We love Lake Hartwell! Great dock with lounge chairs, a kayak, paddle board and plenty of room for our boat. Several outdoor seating areas, grill, fire pit. Well stocked kitchen, soft sheets, fluffy white towels. We swam across the inlet and found a great rope swing into the water. Great adventure!

Great stay
Great location and layout of house. Comfortable beds, cozy den area. Plenty of parking. Nice dock. Great basement area for kids/teens. Suggestions: Kitchen could use some additional pots and pans. Many are in need of a good cleaning or replacement. Not enough silverware for a large crowd. The grill was disgusting and we cleaned it as best we could with no grill brush.

Staff Retreat
The house was perfect for our staff retreat. Enough space to sit in a large group (15) or break away into smaller groups for privacy. We enjoyed the dock and the lake.

Beautiful Views and Perfect Setting
Incredible property in a peaceful location, a quiet cove. The home was incredibly comfortable and the views from the living room and kitchen were gorgeous! The pictures don't do the location justice. We had everything we needed for the perfect trip and we'd definitely consider returning to this property.

Choose this House
We rented this property to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday. The house was great. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was as described and the owner/host (Lance) was very accommodating. He answered any questions we had leading up to the stay. The spot on the lake is wonderful. There are trees and privacy to the left of the dock (as you face out to the water). The location on the lake is great. The house is very spacious, with 3 levels. The 5 bedrooms are great and has at least 1 large bed in each room. The rooms in the lowest level had plenty of beds/space for kids if that is what you're looking for, but at least 1 large bed for an adult as mentioned before. Really nice setup for a rental. Plenty of parking in the drive way. Very convenient propane grill located just outside the kitchen. Overall a great stay and host. A+++

House was very nice and clean. Great accommodations. However we were disturbed by gutter cleaning and Gutter guard being installed during our vacation. This should have been scheduled when no renters were scheduled on the property

The home was clean and well maintained. There was plenty of room for our entire group. No one felt cramped. The view is beautiful. Since we visited in winter we could not take full advantage of the lake, but we packed in what we could. Owner was very responsive to needs. We would stay again.

Went for a short weekend trip to the lake. Absolutely loved this place. Kitchen had everything you need and view was amazing. Lance was also super accommodating. We booked his place super last minute and they were able to accommodate us. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice lake house!
Nice lake house with a very nice view, and a short walk to the lake. We had fun fishing off the dock! Excellent communication with the owner of the property. The home is nicer in person than in the photos! I would recommend this property.
