About this lodge
The Laurel View boasts one of the most incredible views in Fayette County. The home is situated at over 2000 feet above Uniontown on the Summit Mountain. The Laurel View offers eight bedrooms with four baths. Some of the amenities include: two wide screen flat televisions with satellite, an air hockey table and pool table. This property is dog friendly.* Additional flat fee will be charged per pet, if necessary, after receiving your signed Rental Agreement. This unit also includes High Speed Internet with WIFI throughout the house. Head outdoors to bask in the sun or just sit back and relax in the covered outdoor hot tub. Both offer the panoramic view of the city that make this home a true must see!! Mother Nature created this picturesque view which is truly a work of art. Enjoy a serene view of the new morning fog hanging over the low lands below or the spectacular view of the Laurel Ridge as you have never seen it before. In the evening the city's lights come alive and perform a spectacular show! Laurel View is decorated in natural oak and cedar which accentuates the openness of the cathedral ceiling and third floor balcony. For the ultimate entertainer, the large multi-level deck provides a nice setting for any outdoor occasion. Imagine yourself unwinding from your cares in the large great room overlooking the spectacular panoramic view of Southwestern Pennsylvania. It is a lovely house, we made good use of the pool and hot tub. We should have used the fire pit more often, it was really nice the one night that we did. There were things nearby to do, such as zip lining and a day trip to pittsburgh.

The location was convenient for our stay. The host: easy access, communication. As for the property itself. We loved the decks, kitchen, hot tub and pool. Downsides were the road and parking as the road was full of major ruts. We had two cars damaged and will have a few thousand in repairs! Seriously, a load of gravel to fill the holes and ruts would fix this - major oversight. The game room the hockey table was useless. There are five massaging recliners, but only one power plug. Also, sleeps 22, but that is REALLY stretching the sleeping capacity of the place. We had 14 and that seemed the real sleeping capacity and that was with two people on couches.

This house is exactly as it is portrayed. Beautiful views, spacious enough for everyone and plenty to do. My mother-in-law uses a walker and after helping her up the outside steps, she was able to stay on the main floor with bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc! We loved out stay and highly recomend this house!

All around 10/10!! Great for group of family/friends. Huge TV room and couch great for hanging out. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hot tub was awesome. Don’t think just book!

We had a big group of us going skiing a few days so was a bit far from the resorts (as we knew) but for the price it was A great location and the place was in good shape. Hottub was great, plenty of living space for all of us and the fire pit out back was a nice addition too!

The check in and check out process is very easy. The property manager is very quick to respond. Maintenance was very nice and helpful. We noticed a couple things when coming in the home and made the property manager aware of it and we received a call from maintenance within a couple hours. The location was perfect and had an amazing view! The only downside was the Wi-Fi didn’t really work but overall it was a great vacation home and we would love to return!

The 3rd floor bathroom in the hallway had a horrible black mold problem. It is all over the wall and the ceiling above the shower. We did not want to use that bathroom at all, but had to. The toilet was repaired during our stay (someone had tried to fix it previously with duct tape) as well as the shower head that fell off. There was a miscommunication with maintenance and had to wait 8 hours to get the shower and toilet repaired.
The first floor shower was not even hooked up.
Many doors are difficult to close.
The 2nd floor bathroom toilet would run. the inside of the tank has a shoestring holding together the float.
Shelves are missing from the refrigerator door.
The oven takes an hour to heat up. The door does not close all of the way unless forced.
The staff that answered our calls regarding maintenance issues were friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff was also very courteous and addressed problems that could be taken care of.

We had an absolutely delightful time at Laurel View Retreat. There was more than enough room for our family to be together and be apart when needed. From the gameroom for the teenagers to the main living room for the younger children to the large table for card playing to the upper loft for quiet time - we loved place!! The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were very spacious. The only drawback would have been if there had been snow - the driveway might have proven a problem for some in our family, but overall a wonderful stay! THANK YOU!!

The customer service staff was really great answering all our questions and helping us out before we booked and before we arrived. Christmas Cabin Get Away and Retreat
View was awesome. Hot tub, fire pit and large, open living room / dining space is amazing. We had 15 adults and kids for Christmas and were able to all be together. The host had it beautifully decorated for Christmas with a tree and it was lovely!! I
Oven, microwave and coffee maker all worked and were great. We enjoyed the wrap around deck too and hiked up the hill in back with the kids.
The table fit all us and Plates, bowls and even cooking dishes were plentiful. (They were a little low on forks and since we had 15 people, we were handing washing forks. But plenty of spoons and knives. ).
This was a great space for all of us to enjoy a very special Christmas with extended family. It brings people together and yet you still have some ruggedness with the outdoor feel. Highly recommend it.

The long weekend stay was delightful. We had 5 families stay in this gigantic house. There was plenty of space for the kids and parents. Having the pool and the hot tub was also a major plus. We honestly are going to try and book this rental again next year

Space was perfect for our family of 15 plus 1 baby. dishwasher was great, and views were amazing. also , seating on the deck was perfect. Now on to the negatives, alot of the mattress's needs replaced, cover for filter in hot tub was off and the bolts were rusted off. Half the jets did'nt work. The grill was in horrible shape, it needs replaced with a gas grill. hole in the basement bedroom wall, and suspended ceiling was coming down in game room. Main floor bedroom door is falling apart, it would not shut. master bath needs toilet paper roll replaced. also, for the amount of people that can stay there you need another bathroom.

We checked in on eve of 28th with 2 toddlers when they decided to play on main floor (carpeted) we quickly realized that it has not been vacuum for some time, when we vacuumed it, we realize that its not safe for kids to play on floor carpet at all (based on amount of dirt that got collected in vacuum). Next stop, cooking meal - any utensils we got out of cabinets (plates, knifes, pots & pans, even cutting board) were almost as dirty as you would find after use - almost just like put them under water and stack back in without any scrubbing etc. Next came cleaning them ourselves before use. Ran dishwasher cycles two times post scrubbing utensils ourselves for us to realize, dishwasher is not working (so had to clean all those utensils ourselves in sink). Net net, we ended up leaving cabin more clean then what we got with a feeling that we were hired to clean their property and we paid them for giving us opportunity to clean..lol... I wish they consider how much people pay and anticipate their vacation instead of spending lot of time cleaning their property. Hope they get cues out of this review and maintain property bit better. At this price point, every guest deserves basic cleanliness and hasslefree vacation especially while everybody is worried about COVID-19 related safety.
Apart from above, property is located at very convenient location and provides stunning views of wilderness and towns around valley. I wish we were less busy in cleaning their mess and constant worry of hygiene while cooking, eating, drinking, or letting kids play/walk/run around inside on floor etc.

Vacation rental
Cabin was very nice and relaxing. But the road leading up to the place could use some repairs and the pool railing needs repairs because it’s and accident waiting to happen . Also there should be a sign posted about the thermostat location. When we Checked in it was 67 degrees and we couldn’t find the theromastst it was upstairs in the end bedroom and only found it because we had to call about it being freezing in there

Beautiful location. Pool needs replaced, liner is stained which gives a dirty appearance. Drive is washed out with deep ruts which makes it a bit hard to navigate without an SUV or truck. Overall nice stay in a beautiful location.

The house was wonderful. I originally was concerned due to the covid virus, but the house was very clean. The location was perfect. I have to admit that the driveway was quite an adventure. The only question I had was about the bathrooms....you said there were four but in reality there are only three. Thanks for a great time.

Family Reunion
How often do you find a house to rent with 9 bedrooms. We had a wonderful time with extended family reconnecting in the mountains. The pool was a hit as it was hot and beautiful weather. We would definately come back.
