About this apartment rental
CIN: IT027042C2WE4IRUCL
When you travel, do you seek a place simply to sleep...or do you long for a place that takes you away, where you can truly live your holiday? Lovingly maintained and beautifully adorned, Ca' Venexiana is no impersonal hotel or sparse apartment with bare rooms and furnishings of little character. Ca' Venexiana is a treasure box in this treasured city, a place to savor the delights of Venice and daydream away the outside world, offering an unforgettable setting in which to experience the magic of La Serenissima.
"We rented an apartment (Ca’ Venexiana) surrounded on two sides by canals...like the coolest corner lot you can imagine…in Venice’s Dorsoduro district, a quiet area of the city we came to love. It wasn’t uncommon to be enjoying a glass of wine in the kitchen while a gondolier rode right past the window. A truly magical spot."
Just imagine yourself amidst picturesque canals and charming campielli in the popular sestriere of Dorsoduro, a picture perfect place nestled away from the tourist crowds and yet a short stroll away from the major sites and attractions (less than 10 minute's walk to Accademia!) An ideal location in the city's historic centre. At Ca' Venexiana, we are completely enclosed, away from the noise of the city's foot traffic on the calles and bordered on two sides by quiet canals. All of our windows face onto water to ensure your utmost privacy; there will be no passing tour groups peering in your windows. Our garden courtyard is completely private (for our guests' use only) and opens onto a lovely canal for pleasant viewing of the passing gondolas. Any traffic on our canals is restricted to gondolas and local small boats, sheltering us from the noise of the daily delivery barges or trash boats. Ca' Venexiana is a true hidden paradise.
Maintained to a high standard and filled with personal touches both inside and out, we believe you will find everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Inside you will find a splendid retreat - sumptuously decorated - where you can truly live "la vita di Venezia," an experience no hotel can offer. Within minutes of our doorstep, you will find the popular and enjoyable Campo San Margherita, Campo San Barnaba, and the Zattere, all perfect and unique spots for basking in the Venetian atmosphere.
The owner of this property takes great pride and makes every effort to share the secrets of the city with her guests, seeking to make each guest's stay a personal and fulfilling experience. Our guests are greeted personally and given all the benefit of a local's perspective, their knowledge and love for this unique place we call home. Many of our guests have become our personal friends with whom we keep in touch and share our love of this wonderful city.
There are no hidden fees! Housekeeping, the City of Venice tourist taxes, and utilities are all included - you will not be asked to pay these separately upon arrival as many other properties will. No surprises - you can begin your adventure as soon as you arrive...
At Ca' Venexiana you will also find the 'little things' most easily overlooked when traveling - electrical adapters, umbrellas, a library of books, guidebooks and maps, and rainboots for rainy days. There is a flat-screen computer for our guests' use, a vast selection of DVDs, as well as complimentary Netflix for evenings in. We keep a selection of excellent cookbooks on hand, as well as seasonal herbs growing on our canalside courtyard. You can even enjoy a lemon from our lemon tree when in bloom! We strongly suggest visiting the local markets (daily fish, fruit and vegetable markets are located within two minutes of our door.) Our chef-inspired, fully-equipped kitchen has every modern convenience, ready for you to try your hand at some authentic Italian dishes.
Ca' Venexiana is not a hotel, house, or villa ~ we are a private apartment that offers a unique, self-catering accommodation experience for your holiday / vacation / getaway. You will not simply see Venice, but you will live it! We look forward to sharing our home, our neighborhood, and our beautiful city...with you.
Questions? We strongly suggest you also visit the Ca' Venexiana website for full property details, to read our various booking and pricing options, and to communicate with the property owner directly (just search for us on Google or direct your browser to cavenexiana dot com)
The property also has its own boat mooring (9 m.)

The apt was cute, much smaller than I anticipated but had everything we needed. Host was very informative and responsive. Only negative I have is the outdoor space, it was much smaller than I anticipated and a bit unkept. We did not spend any time out there and that was a big reason I booked the location. Overall it was a nice stay.

This place is so fabulous and can't say enough good things about it! Wonderful location, close to two water taxi stops, great restaurants, and a grocery store. Being right on the canal and having a patio was amazing! We enjoyed watching people go by in gondolas and boats, the neighbors across the way put their boats in the garage, ducks float by, fish and crabs in the canal, people walking by nearby bridges and just life in general. The apt has so much charm and is well equipped. We were able to host our other friends who were visiting for a little dinner party out on the patio and had everything we needed. They have a little rolling cart to get groceries and the store is nearby. There were very good instructions for everything in the apartment and the recommendations for activities and restaurants were wonderful! We all really loved our stay here during our time in Venice and if I return I would definitely want to stay here again!

We loved our stay at Ca' Venexiana. The canal facing patio was the highlight, but the apartment was very comfortable with lots of windows, and amenities like plenty of ice cube trays, laundry, a comfortable, well-stocked kitchen with lots of ways to make coffee, and power strips with USB-A style charging ports in the bedrooms. Jackie also provided a house manual with many recommendations for exploring the neighborhood, many of which we took and all of which we enjoyed. (We had probably the best dinner of our entire Italy trip at Ristorante Oniga in San Barnaba square, which was just a 3 minute walk from the apartment and had several restaurants, cafes, shops, and grocery stores.)
Jackie was extremely communicative in the lead up to our arrival, and went above and beyond to help get us situated - including reaching out pre-emptively to help us register exemptions to a new tourist tax that Venice is imposing on day trippers some weekends of the year.
Venice had long been a dream trip of mine, and thanks to Jackie and Ca' Venexiana it was everything I dreamed of and more.

Authentic Italian apartment. Loved the decor and location. Super accommodating host! Jackie met us at the Vaporetto stop with good communication. Loved all the extras, snacks, Prosecco, etc. Venice was a dream vacation! Would love to come back to our special canal side patio! So bellissimo!

My wife and I had never been to Venice (or Italy for that matter) and only speak English so to say it could be confusing at times is an understatement. Our host made our stay and check-in process easy. She was quick to respond to questions and put a lot of thought into the apartment and the things that would make the guests stay a lot easier and more comfortable. The place was well taken care of, clean, and perfectly located on a corner of 2 canals with waterfront views throughout the apartment and private patio. Absolutely will make a point to return for another stay here. Highly recommend 10/10

We had an excellent time in Venice for our first time. The place was absolutely lovely and Jackie went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We loved being on the lower level and the private courtyard was such a nice bonus to watch the boats go by.
Thank you for everything!

This apartment was exactly what we were looking for during a recent extended stay in Venice. It’s close to everything - grocery, vaporetto stops, produce vendors (on a barge!), shops and sites. The modern kitchen was very well equipped and the other rooms were quiet and comfortable. The owner provided a comprehensive binder of information for your stay as well as books and movies. The representatives were easy to communicate with and responsive to our periodic inquiries. We very much hope to return one day!

We just returned from a month in Italy where we traveled to many locations and stayed in several apartments. Ca’ Venexiana is the standard by which the others should be measured. First, we were greeted by a real person, who also arranged for our transportation from the train station. The apartment is located very near stops for vaparettos and water taxis, making all of Venice easily accessible. The apartment is perfect. Unlike other places we stayed, all the beds had sheets and blankets, and we had plenty of towels. (Sometimes insomnia, or a need to nap, makes an extra room a necessity for this couple who sleeps together. We are shocked that other apartments that advertised additional sleeping places didn’t furnish them so they could be used.) The kitchen is fully furnished and useable, and you can see the gondolas go by from the kitchen table. Great for Americans who like eggs and toast for breakfast! A house book contains information you need to have a comfortable stay. Instead of focusing on house “rules,” it is chock full of information you need to operate everything in the apartment, information you need for emergencies and transportation, and recommendations for activities and restaurants. The outside patio is right on the water and is a perfect spot for coffee, a glass of wine, or a good book. A perfect spot for watching people, scenery, birds, and waving at the gondolas going by.
We would love to return to Venice and if we are lucky enough, would stay at Jackie’s p

Loved everything about this lovely apartment.

The house was beautifully decorated, off the crowded area but still close to restaurants, shopping, etc... There were detailed instructions for everything. You could tell the owner spent a lot of time thinking of its guests needs. I would definitely recommend this house for your stay in Venice.

This lovely ground-floor apartment is located in a quiet neighbourhood with lots of small restaurants, shops and even a small supermarket (Conad City) all located within a few hundred meters. The apartment was clean, roomy and well-furnished. Right next to the canal, it has a small courtyard that would have been great in the summer but we were there in the winter - still couldn't resist sitting there every day at least for a short time!
Hope we can come back again soon!

This is without a double the most well appointed and lovely decorated VEBO apartment I’ve ever stayed at by far! As someone said earlier, people who have VRBO rentals should take lessons from the owner Jackie on the correct way to appoint a rental! She has absolutely thought of everything to make your stay wonderful ❤️ The location if fabulous too! The Dorsoduro district is another plus because it’s away from the crowds of San Marco and is very laid back, with great little restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk🤙
I can’t recommend it enough❤️ You certainly won’t regret renting Jackie’s beautiful apartment!
5.0
The host, Jackie, should teach a course in how to set up a vrbo property. The binder she left was all inclusive and full of details on operating appliances, transportation options and all the information you would ever need for your stay. The property was immaculate. The fully stocked kitchen with every item you would ever need as well as every basic ingredient you would need. The attention to detail and the elegance of the furniture, draperies and bedding exceeded our expectations. The apartment is also is situated in an ideal location close to cafes, restaurants, grocery store, pharmacie and many interesting and unique shops. It is also but a short walk to the vaporetto stop which is an inexpensive mode of transportation that can take you anywhere you want to go in the area. Totally wonderful experience! Thank you, Jackie!

We stayed for 2 nights and wished we had more. The location is 5 star with so many fantastic local restaurants so very close by.
Even better though is the stunning courtyard which opens directly onto the canal. We started our days there drinking coffee and ended our days there with afternoon pre-dinner drinks, the perfect place to stay.

We absolutely loved this Venice apartment - from the lively interior to the amazing private terrace overlooking a canal. The apartment is in a quiet part of the city, yet close to cafes, amazing restaurants, and more.
I would 100% stay here again for any trip to Venice.
5.0
Absolutely loved this place. Wished I could have stayed longer. The apartment comes with many conveniences for the traveller. A well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Charging stations. Printer for boarding passes. It’s super cute and authentic. The little courtyard overlooking the canal is so unique. I would recommend to anyone with 3-4 people. It’s larger than it appears in photos too.
5.0
This was a amazing property right on the canals, it has a amazing patio area which was great to enjoy a peaceful breakfast, my kids reading, and drawing. This was our 4th house on our trip and by far the best. Beds were comfortable, items needed were there, large guest books breaking down info from how to use things in house to restaurants. Reminder posts on walls or near appliances. Had a computer to print documents, books about Venice for kids as well as adults, AC and fans, canteens to fill wine, entertainment and so much more. Questions were answered promptly and stories of the property was nice to read. Such a beautiful city as well a quiet area that was a short walk away. We loved everything about this property and if we return we will definitely rent again. We will also be referring others if they vacation here.

The location couldn’t have been better, it was never crowded yet everything was within walking distance

Jackie was an exceptional host! She has thought of everything to assure her guests have a beautiful stay. The apartment was clean and very nicely appointed…the courtyard patio, canal side, was the perfect place to enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, all while seeing the occasional gondola pass by. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood but still only a few minutes walk away from restaurants, shops and the Grand Canal.
Grazie mille Jackie for providing the perfect spot to appreciate all Venice has to offer!

Can’t wait to return to Venice and also this apartment. Great location! Canal side patio can’t be beat! Host recommendations were spot on. A great time for my family!

This place was awesome even with the really horrible couch. Great quiet location, fun being right on the the canal, excellent air conditioning during an extreme heat wave. Very nice kitchen and well equipped. We LOVED the outdoor patio and found it to be a great place to paint. Super clear directions, and attentive host.

Ca’ Venexiana was a perfect spot for our family of 4 to stay. Just the right size, a wonderful small patio to spend early mornings and evenings and all the amenities you need.
Jackie is clear with communicating and provided a greeter, Erika, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.
I loved spending time in the morning drinking coffee on the patio and enjoying the serenity. In the evenings, we spent our time outside playing cards and watching the gondolas go by. They provide a nice sitting area indoors with a TV, movies, games and a computer, but we never made it into that room. It was too nice to be indoors.
This location has easy access to the popular nightlife locations, but is in a more quiet local neighborhood which worked wonderful for our family. We were comfortable with our teenagers heading out on their own when they wanted to grab gelato. We enjoyed eating at more local restaurants and people watching as we strolled through the streets.
This was our last stop of a 2 week vacation and we regret not staying here longer. On our last night my husband and I talked about returning for a 2-4 week stay when the kids go off to college and we would definitely want to stay here again. You’ve created a real gem!
Thanks for the welcoming hospitality and helping our family create lifetime memories!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The patio opening onto the canal really was a bonus. The location is very safe, walkable to many attractions and the water taxi. There are restaurants nearby and a grocery store.
The furnishings were comfortable, with everything needed. Highly recommend.

Beautiful apartment with all the amenities, great patio opens up onto one of the many canals, so peaceful.
Great location to explore Venice from, you can get to anywhere in the city within a 20 minute walk. Easy to get to from the airport via Alilaguna which stops at the bottom of the main Street, 5 minute walk to apartment. Great restaurants, bars and shops in the area, more reasonably priced than in the more tourist areas. Would definitely return. Don't miss the opportunity to book this little slice of heaven! Superb!

Beautiful patio to see boat pass by. Nice and friendly host. Love it.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay in your apartment. The private patio opened up to a canal. It was fun watching the gondolas and other boats go by. We also loved the location. This is not a touristy area, but most sites are within a 20 minute walk. I can't wait to go back!

great area. Comfortable bed. The patio was amazing. Really appreciated Ericka meeting us and giving us a tour. Venice was our favorite part of our vacation.

This property was everything we could have hoped for! The Dorsoduro neighborhood was perfect for being close to the sites but away from the crowds. Excellent restaurants nearby. Our host, Jackie, was highly responsive and helpful and thought of literally everything in the apartment. I highly recommend staying at Ca’Venexiana!

My wife and I booked this lovely apartment for the amazing location. Right on the corner of two quiet canals with a wonderful outdoor area looking over the canal. Tea in the morning as the gondolas came slowly last. We had an amazing stay. Only wish we had more time to really enjoy the apartment as we were always out so much of the day and night. It is Venice after all.

Fabulous location and very quaint stay. Air conditioning and each bedroom had fans which was great. Gist was friendly and explained everything in detail. We would definitely stay again if needed too

We loved this apartment in the heart of Dosoduro- well equipped and comfortable, very easy walking distance to the galleries and to everything really, with a little courtyard garden that really is a joy. We had a lovely evening there eating take out pizza and drinking supermarket prosecco, playing cards with the kids, watching the boats go by and pretending that we actually live in Venice. Wonderful local restaurants - La Bitta was a real treat. Our greeter was very helpful and easy to contact. Highly recommend this place.

Unbeatable experience! This apartment is away from the crowds and really helps you enjoy venice. We are so glad we stayed here and not near San Marco square in a hotel. You will see the real Venice from this apartment. Loved it, and morning coffee by the canal sitting in their courtyard was an incredible experience. Host was very helpful and available.

Our hosts thought of every detail. The apartment had everything you need and is the best location within minutes of everything. We will be back.

Very romantic setting. Just be aware that GPS does not work in Venice and it can be difficult to get around. Otherwise a lovely stay.

We loved this location! It was close enough to some action while being slightly removed and quiet. The patio was an absolute delight! We ate breakfast out there and sipped some wine in the afternoon all while sitting right on this quiet canal. Great vibe inside the house too! Thank you!!

An absolute hidden gem - everything you need for a comfortable stay. In a quiet area for sleep but only a few minutes walk away for cafes and wonderful atmosphere.
The comfortable beds are 100% and we all slept very well. The courtyard is magical!
Communication has been above snd beyond and the owner has been very informative. Thank you we had the most wonderful short stay.

Ca’ Venexiana is a gem. We had the best time staying there while we were in Venice. The property was very clean and the charm with this apartment was spot on. Your typical utensils and cooking items were fully stocked and the place had great amenities and features. We really went there to explore Venice but we always wanted to get back to the house and drink some wine in the courtyard. This is my first time staying in Desodoro and first time with canal views and now I don’t want to stay anywhere else. There are plenty of things to do around the apartment and Piazza San Marco is a short walk away. We would love to return. Also Jackie and Ericka were very responsive and helpful with any recommendations.

Great service and great amenities! Very nicely equipped apartment. Wish our stay had been longer!
