About this apartment rental

CIN: IT027042C2WE4IRUCL
When you travel, do you seek a place simply to sleep...or do you long for a place that takes you away, where you can truly live your holiday? Lovingly maintained and beautifully adorned, Ca' Venexiana is no impersonal hotel or sparse apartment with bare rooms and furnishings of little character. Ca' Venexiana is a treasure box in this treasured city, a place to savor the delights of Venice and daydream away the outside world, offering an unforgettable setting in which to experience the magic of La Serenissima.

"We rented an apartment (Ca’ Venexiana) surrounded on two sides by canals...like the coolest corner lot you can imagine…in Venice’s Dorsoduro district, a quiet area of the city we came to love. It wasn’t uncommon to be enjoying a glass of wine in the kitchen while a gondolier rode right past the window. A truly magical spot."

Just imagine yourself amidst picturesque canals and charming campielli in the popular sestriere of Dorsoduro, a picture perfect place nestled away from the tourist crowds and yet a short stroll away from the major sites and attractions (less than 10 minute's walk to Accademia!) An ideal location in the city's historic centre. At Ca' Venexiana, we are completely enclosed, away from the noise of the city's foot traffic on the calles and bordered on two sides by quiet canals. All of our windows face onto water to ensure your utmost privacy; there will be no passing tour groups peering in your windows. Our garden courtyard is completely private (for our guests' use only) and opens onto a lovely canal for pleasant viewing of the passing gondolas. Any traffic on our canals is restricted to gondolas and local small boats, sheltering us from the noise of the daily delivery barges or trash boats. Ca' Venexiana is a true hidden paradise.

Maintained to a high standard and filled with personal touches both inside and out, we believe you will find everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Inside you will find a splendid retreat - sumptuously decorated - where you can truly live "la vita di Venezia," an experience no hotel can offer. Within minutes of our doorstep, you will find the popular and enjoyable Campo San Margherita, Campo San Barnaba, and the Zattere, all perfect and unique spots for basking in the Venetian atmosphere.

The owner of this property takes great pride and makes every effort to share the secrets of the city with her guests, seeking to make each guest's stay a personal and fulfilling experience. Our guests are greeted personally and given all the benefit of a local's perspective, their knowledge and love for this unique place we call home. Many of our guests have become our personal friends with whom we keep in touch and share our love of this wonderful city.

There are no hidden fees! Housekeeping, the City of Venice tourist taxes, and utilities are all included - you will not be asked to pay these separately upon arrival as many other properties will. No surprises - you can begin your adventure as soon as you arrive...

At Ca' Venexiana you will also find the 'little things' most easily overlooked when traveling - electrical adapters, umbrellas, a library of books, guidebooks and maps, and rainboots for rainy days. There is a flat-screen computer for our guests' use, a vast selection of DVDs, as well as complimentary Netflix for evenings in. We keep a selection of excellent cookbooks on hand, as well as seasonal herbs growing on our canalside courtyard. You can even enjoy a lemon from our lemon tree when in bloom! We strongly suggest visiting the local markets (daily fish, fruit and vegetable markets are located within two minutes of our door.) Our chef-inspired, fully-equipped kitchen has every modern convenience, ready for you to try your hand at some authentic Italian dishes.

Ca' Venexiana is not a hotel, house, or villa ~ we are a private apartment that offers a unique, self-catering accommodation experience for your holiday / vacation / getaway. You will not simply see Venice, but you will live it! We look forward to sharing our home, our neighborhood, and our beautiful city...with you.

Questions? We strongly suggest you also visit the Ca' Venexiana website for full property details, to read our various booking and pricing options, and to communicate with the property owner directly (just search for us on Google or direct your browser to cavenexiana dot com)

The property also has its own boat mooring (9 m.)

The apt was cute, much smaller than I anticipated but had everything we needed. Host was very informative and responsive. Only negative I have is the outdoor space, it was much smaller than I anticipated and a bit unkept. We did not spend any time out there and that was a big reason I booked the location. Overall it was a nice stay.

This place is so fabulous and can't say enough good things about it! Wonderful location, close to two water taxi stops, great restaurants, and a grocery store. Being right on the canal and having a patio was amazing! We enjoyed watching people go by in gondolas and boats, the neighbors across the way put their boats in the garage, ducks float by, fish and crabs in the canal, people walking by nearby bridges and just life in general. The apt has so much charm and is well equipped. We were able to host our other friends who were visiting for a little dinner party out on the patio and had everything we needed. They have a little rolling cart to get groceries and the store is nearby. There were very good instructions for everything in the apartment and the recommendations for activities and restaurants were wonderful! We all really loved our stay here during our time in Venice and if I return I would definitely want to stay here again!

We loved our stay at Ca' Venexiana. The canal facing patio was the highlight, but the apartment was very comfortable with lots of windows, and amenities like plenty of ice cube trays, laundry, a comfortable, well-stocked kitchen with lots of ways to make coffee, and power strips with USB-A style charging ports in the bedrooms. Jackie also provided a house manual with many recommendations for exploring the neighborhood, many of which we took and all of which we enjoyed. (We had probably the best dinner of our entire Italy trip at Ristorante Oniga in San Barnaba square, which was just a 3 minute walk from the apartment and had several restaurants, cafes, shops, and grocery stores.) Jackie was extremely communicative in the lead up to our arrival, and went above and beyond to help get us situated - including reaching out pre-emptively to help us register exemptions to a new tourist tax that Venice is imposing on day trippers some weekends of the year. Venice had long been a dream trip of mine, and thanks to Jackie and Ca' Venexiana it was everything I dreamed of and more.

Authentic Italian apartment. Loved the decor and location. Super accommodating host! Jackie met us at the Vaporetto stop with good communication. Loved all the extras, snacks, Prosecco, etc. Venice was a dream vacation! Would love to come back to our special canal side patio! So bellissimo!

My wife and I had never been to Venice (or Italy for that matter) and only speak English so to say it could be confusing at times is an understatement. Our host made our stay and check-in process easy. She was quick to respond to questions and put a lot of thought into the apartment and the things that would make the guests stay a lot easier and more comfortable. The place was well taken care of, clean, and perfectly located on a corner of 2 canals with waterfront views throughout the apartment and private patio. Absolutely will make a point to return for another stay here. Highly recommend 10/10

We had an excellent time in Venice for our first time. The place was absolutely lovely and Jackie went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We loved being on the lower level and the private courtyard was such a nice bonus to watch the boats go by. Thank you for everything!

This apartment was exactly what we were looking for during a recent extended stay in Venice. It’s close to everything - grocery, vaporetto stops, produce vendors (on a barge!), shops and sites. The modern kitchen was very well equipped and the other rooms were quiet and comfortable. The owner provided a comprehensive binder of information for your stay as well as books and movies. The representatives were easy to communicate with and responsive to our periodic inquiries. We very much hope to return one day!

We just returned from a month in Italy where we traveled to many locations and stayed in several apartments. Ca’ Venexiana is the standard by which the others should be measured. First, we were greeted by a real person, who also arranged for our transportation from the train station. The apartment is located very near stops for vaparettos and water taxis, making all of Venice easily accessible. The apartment is perfect. Unlike other places we stayed, all the beds had sheets and blankets, and we had plenty of towels. (Sometimes insomnia, or a need to nap, makes an extra room a necessity for this couple who sleeps together. We are shocked that other apartments that advertised additional sleeping places didn’t furnish them so they could be used.) The kitchen is fully furnished and useable, and you can see the gondolas go by from the kitchen table. Great for Americans who like eggs and toast for breakfast! A house book contains information you need to have a comfortable stay. Instead of focusing on house “rules,” it is chock full of information you need to operate everything in the apartment, information you need for emergencies and transportation, and recommendations for activities and restaurants. The outside patio is right on the water and is a perfect spot for coffee, a glass of wine, or a good book. A perfect spot for watching people, scenery, birds, and waving at the gondolas going by. We would love to return to Venice and if we are lucky enough, would stay at Jackie’s p
