Super B&B

Juliette was very friendly and a super host, the bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. Breakfast although not a full English was quite sufficent comprising of yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, great homemade granola then bacon and eggs cooked to your liking with plenty of toast and toppers to finish.

The lack of lampshades on the bedside lamps.

Lovely location, beautiful B&B with everything you need, Juliet was very welcoming and made us feel at home, rooms very comfortable and decor great, beautiful white towels and bedding, bed was very comfortable too. Highly recommend 5 star

The best place for staying near Stansted

It was superclean. Juliette picked me up in the AirPort. It was very kind of her. Next morning drive me to the trainstation efter Good breakfast I recommend this place if you have flight through Stansted.

Exceptionally, pleasant and helpful host. Great value bed and breakfast with high quality bathroom / room. Great breakfast. We as a couple were very pleased with our stay.

Amazingly quiet location. Juliette is so friendly and helpful. Astoundingly clean and comfortable. And the breakfast, wow, what can I say? Absolutely perfect before I had to fly out of Stansted. Definitely will be returning.

Relaxing after horror of airport chaos.

Breakfast cooked by the lovely lady owner. Simple and nutritious. Poached eggs on lovely nutty bread. Homemade marmalade. Cereals and more. Only stayed 1 night as Ryanair cancelled flight with 15 mins to go. Yes Ryanair just 15 minutes. Room large. Toilet/bathroom large. Comfortable bed. Peaceful. Thank you Juliette.

The woman in charge of this BandB refused me entry on the second day of my stay because of a coffee stain on the carpet in my bedroom of which I was totally unaware. I had no other place to stay and ended up sleeping in my car. To be avoided like the plague.

A wonderful place to stay in the countryside!

The location was superb. I was going to an event at Audley End and it was only a short drive away. The journey to and from the accommodation was scenic countryside all around and very quiet. The occasional plane going overhead did not disturb my sleep at all. Juliette is an absolutely delightful host and did everything she could to make my stay comfortable and welcoming. My breakfast was absolutely delicious and I’m not sure how she managed such tasty scrambled eggs, but mine never taste as good as that! I would not hesitate to stay here again, should the need arise.

Perfect for what I needed

A warm welcome from a very friendly host. Lovely quiet countryside location. My room was very pleasant , en suite all worked very well. Delicious breakfast with pleasant chats to Juliette. Loved the handmade soaps. The location was ideal as a starting point to fly from Stansted - only 20 minutes from the airport so perfect for an early flight. I shall recommend 1 pelham grove to any of my family and friends flying from Stansted!!

I can't think of a single thing !! There were even local places to eat if needed!!

Exceptional

The host was amazing, thank you Juliet for a great breakfast and help with accommodation, definitely visit this fabulous place again! Breakfast from 6:00am! Excellent place with double and single rooms where mainly you have all the floor for yourself and no need to share the bathroom.

It is hard to find anything, maybe that check in is until 8:30 and showers by 10pm, but it is understandable and actually I like it.

A wonderful relaxing stay and a fantastic sleep, the best in a long time because the bed was superb!

Superbly comfortable bed in a completely relaxed and quiet location and a first class welcome from Juliette Loved the decor, ambience, breakfast and Juliette's positive attention to detail.

There was nothing to dislike so no reason for negativity

Exceptional

Juliette is the perfect hostess and will do her upmost to make sure your stay is comfortable. Her house is exceptionally clean and the beds are very comfortable. I will definitely be booking again and will definitely make it my place to stay when I'm working in that area. I also felt I've made a new friend in Juliette whilst staying with her, I enjoyed our chats over a coffee once I'd finished my days work. Looking forward to my return.

The owner needs to take a chill pill and remember that she does not have a monopoly on ‘sharp tongues’, by good fortune she evaded me giving her a piece of my mind because no self respecting 60year old should be treated with such disrespect

I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing night, and would stay again, preferably for longer next time.

Juliette was very friendly and and went out of her way to make me feel welcome in her lovely home. The bed was really comfortable and I really enjoyed using her beautiful hand-made soap.

A bedside lamp could have been useful, but the fact that there wasn't one didn't significantly affect the enjoyment of my stay.

A little home from home

All very new furnishings and decorations. Spotlessly clean. Luxurious bed linen and mattress. Excellent home cooked breakfast.

Room was not en-suite, however this was reflected in the price and not in any way inconvenient.

Beautiful clean b&b with a fascinating host

Clean, well presented, quiet! Lovely room with a bed so comfortable that I was asleep so quickly don’t remember even getting into it! Breakfast was served by the owner who was a delight to talk to, I wish I could have stayed longer to chat but maybe another time…
