About this apartment rental

The apartment, in the center of the country, is 150 meters (2 min walk) from the beaches and cliffs of the village of Pomonte, a seaside resort on the "Costa del Sole", the west coast of Elba Island.

We also rent other apartments (also with sea view) for couples or new families in the same place and other apartments with two rooms up to 6 beds directly on the beach.

THE COTTAGE
Perfect for a couple who wants to enjoy a holiday in comfort and tranquilltà containing costs but also ideal for a family with children. Small spaces but with all the amenities to relax after returning from the sea; double bedroom upstairs with queen size double bed (140x200) with liftable lower compartment, sofa bed for 2 people in the living room / kitchen, for 3 or 4 comfortable beds. The apartment extends its usable space with the outside fenced, covered, with a table for lunch / dinner outdoors. The bathroom is downstairs and has a comfortable shower new. Fully equipped kitchen; among the endowments 17 inch tv with satellite, tower fan, oven, electric grill granite, vacuum cleaner.

NEW PARKING: this year Casetta Delfino has a private parking for his guests 30 meters far!

Pomonte is a wonderful town on the Costa del Sole, the western coast of Elba Island, which is meant as the name suggests, allows you to enjoy the presence of the sun until observing magnificent sunsets.
Famous for summer food festivals fish badged 'The Calello' but above all for the presence of Elviscott Wreck of the merchant ship, which sank in 1972 near the Ogliera's Rock: just 100 meters away from the shore offers a spectacle to shiver; the two parts of the wreck (a third was removed for safety) lie lying at a depth of about 12 meters, but the cockpit rises and reaches almost 2 meters just below the surface. The wreck was elected to the home of all the local fish and having a piece of bread you can enjoy a unique spectacle nestled among hundreds of fish eating his hands in a beautiful blue water. The wreck is easily accessible by swimming on the beach, however, you can rent paddle boats with viewers, canoes and kayaks, and also for the less gifted fins and mask. In addition to the 'Wreck Beach' in Pomonte there are 2 other beaches accessible: the 'Spiaggia delle Scalette' is the most central of the country, consisting of small white granite gravel is completely free with easy access to the sea for children; the wildest 'Ogliera's Beach', composed of small pebbles lies beyond the shipwreck beach and as the name in front of the Ogliera's Rock.
For those who prefer the rocks Pomonte is the perfect place: the northern part of the Sea of Pomonte is in fact characterized by a large cliff of polished white granite, with depths more or less treble that allow easy descent and ascent from the water; to do absolutely a dive from 'Moletto', an old pier at 3 meters above sea level used at the time of the granite quarries for loading the boats used today mostly by the boys as a springboard ; for the little ones but not too much should not miss the up and down by the 'slide', a slide created by natural moss on the rocks to 'Cala Maestrale'.
For lovers of absolute tranquility and privacy only a 2 minute drive in the direction of Fetovaia you reach the path to the 'Spiaggia delle Tombe': a part of the name conferred by the presence of some Etruscan tombs nearby, is one of the the most beautiful wild beaches of Elba. No service on the beach, at least 10 minutes to walk there accompanied by the intoxicating scents of the garrigue, lavender, rosemary, rock rose pink and white, a beautiful climb back, not visible, only clean sea, sun, and pebbles on blacks which lie two beaches await you on the left for a bigger and exceeded some boulders on the right a little more usually frequented by naturists. You will be very pleased with the drudgery that it took to get there.

Pomonte is not only the sea, for those who love hiking and mountain biking there are numerous marked trails that climb the mountains allows a wonderful view of the whole Tuscan Archipelago and Corsica.
And ... do not throw empty plastic bottles: in Pomonte there is a spring of water at the foot of Mount Schiappone, active throughout the year, reached by a path illuminated directly from the main street in the south-east of the country . Returning to children, between the square and the streets of the sea there are two playgrounds with swings and slides, you're having fun.

Stores: nothing is missing, market, butcher, pharmacy, bank, post office, bakery, ice cream shop, bakery, beachwear, newsagent, tobacconist, bar, kiosk on the beach, pizzeria restaurant, hotel...

And for what is not there ....

Pomonte is just a few minutes drive from the famous sandy beaches of Fetovaia, Seccheto, Cavoli Sant'Andrea, 15 minutes from the town of Marina di Campo and 20 minutes from Marciana Marina, the largest town in which there is the most the nightlife of the island.
If you do not want to take the car no problem! You can use public transport during the day connecting all locations and beach!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay in Pomonte. The accommodation was fantastic for our family. We woke up every morning to the smells of fresh bread (10 steps away) and went to bed after eating a delicious gelato (20 steps away). The location really made our stay perfect. We only wished for a fan or a/c in the loft bedroom. It was quiet warm up there in yhe heat of summer. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

Pomonte is a really nice village located on the western side of Elba Island. Ildo, his wife and Francesco are very welcoming people.

We had a wonderful holiday in the "Casetta Delfino" in Pomonote. From the first time we contacted Francesco he has been super helpful to arrange our stay and was always available if we had any questions. The place itself is small, but very tidy and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The "Casetta Delfino" is located very close to the village center where we spent a lot of time relaxing in the bars. In a few minutes you can also walk to the ocean. We also recommend hiking in the "Valle di Pomonte" or taking a walk to the next settlement. Highly recommended :)
