About this house rental
Little Hacienda as we call it is our two bedroom home situated in the art deco area of Los Angeles known as' Culver City' Its architecture is reminiscent of a Mexican hacienda (albeit on a slightly smaller scale). Culver City has over the past few years seen a massive revival and now become one of the hippest and safest places to live in LA county.
Its convenience to the beaches, and business districts of Century City and to UCLA make it an ideal location for both business and pleasure. Getting around is easy as its close to Washington Blv. probably one of the only roads not to get jammed with traffic...its one of the locals 'best kept secrets'!!
Hacienda is walking distance to the town centre where there are an abundance of trendy and iconic restaurants, bars and cafes including major box retail stores, supermarkets and the famous Sony studios. The house is situated in a very family friendly and safe area ..where neighbors actually talk to each other.
The House itself is beautifully appointed and was just recently renovated. A special feature is an original vaulted ceilings with its massive beams.
There is a lush garden with the ubiquitous lemon tree with succulent fruits and a patio to lounge away those balmy evenings - A truly tranquil oasis quiet and away from the madding crowds!!
Inside the house there are two bedrooms, a family room, a dining room and a kitchen with chefs stove and large refrigerator. Adjacent to the kitchen is the breakfast room and laundry which lead out to the rear garden.
The house has wireless internet, cable TV and Parking is on street where there IS an abundance of on street parking.
We pride ourselves in having high standards of cleanliness and make sure that you get a good nights sleep by providing high quality linens and bedding.
Fully equipped kitchen -pots pans ,cooking utensils, crockery and glassware etc
Hair dryer, toiletries and slippers.

We recently stayed five nights in this house and would strongly recommend it to anyone staying in West LA. It is conveniently located near downtown Culver City and the 405 and 10 highways. The two bedroom house was beautiful and had everything our family needed.

I booked the front Spanish style unit but was told 5 days before my stay that we would have to be in the back ADU. It all worked out okay - it was a nice and fun unit
10.0 / 10.0
This is the front house, with a separate unit at the rear of the property. I think each unit has their own private yard, but I'm not sure. The back yard is very nicely planted and has a small fountain, a gas BBQ and a dining table. We didn't use it due to the rainy and chilly weather.
Parking is on the street and wasn't a problem. Just watch the street cleaning signs.
The living room has a comfortable sofa and two side chairs, along with an office chair and narrow desk. The huge picture window looks out to the grassy front yard that is surrounded by a tall hedge. The hedge does afford some privacy at night from onlookers, but the yard is not gated and there are not window coverings that cover the entire width of the window (unless something has changed since our visit).
Even though we didn't do much in the way of cooking, it looked like the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and dish cleaning supplies.
Dining is in a cute little nook in the kitchen with windows on two sides, making it a great place for morning coffee.
The bathroom has been recently remodeled with what appear to be European type fixtures. The tub is fairly deep, with both a rain and separate handheld shower head. One cautionary note is that the tub floor was a bit slippery.
The two bedrooms each have a queen bed. One is very high and one is very low. I am fairly short, so we slept in the low one because the high one was too high for me to get in without a step stool!

Would stay again.

This is a beautiful charming house in a wonderful neighborhood. The house has all the comforts one needs to stay for awhile. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner in the well stocked kitchen, then had dinner in the backyard that was covered in bougainvilleas and orange trees.
The property manager called us several hours before we were to check in to the house. She explained there was an undexpected repair that needed to be taken care of immediately. She kept us updated very two hours. The house owners were also involved with overseeing the condition of the house.
There was a delay with moving into the house but the Property Manager and the Owners were very professional and caring about handling the situation. Everyone was honest and forthright with us.
The rest of our stay was very comfortable and without any problems. We would definitely stay here again because of the quality of the house and the people who care for it.

Stayed here with my family for a couple weeks during a remodel. Cute house, convenient, comfortable, and very clean. Good central location on the west side on a very quiet street. 10/10 reccomend.
6.0 / 10.0
Overall, accommodation was good; however, we got a different apartment than the one we first booked because it was supposedly already occupied at the time we requested. On site we then found that the accommodation we wanted was free; this is not understandable for us.
Location: quiet and ideally located
Price: rather upper range compared to objects in the near vicinity
Despite the above comments, we can recommend this apartment.

The house was amazing. Very clean and centrally located. We were able to get to most places within 15 to 20 minutes. I enjoyed my stay, and the house was exactly as pictured. I needed assistance when we arrived and received it very promptly. Our family would surely stay there again.

Not our first time in the main house on this property, which also includes a studio and a third separate apartment in the back. The main house is large, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Also private but lots of windows with great light. Remodeled bathroom, full washing machine and dryer. There's forced air heat and cooling, which keeps the place comfortable. Alicia, the manager, is very responsive, friendly and accommodating. There's street parking, which requires a bit of vigilance so as not to be caught on the wrong side on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when there is street cleaning, but you can usually find a spot within a half a block or so. We love staying here and will stay here again. Location can't be beat, within a half hour's drive from most Westside, Hollywood and Downtown attractions.

The house is beautiful and met our every need!

It fit all the needs of the family. Well equiped kitchen, wasing machine, dryer. Nice little backyard to relax and watch squirrels. Rooms were big enough and comfotable.
There are improvment opportunities when it comes to cleaning. For example the cabinets were clean only to certain highty (about 6 feet).
The house is outdated and ready for some refurbishing. You can feel (smell) it when you enter. We got used to it.
Overall it met our expectations.

Perfect L.A. getaway
My husband and I were visiting family with our 1.5-year-old son and our stay far exceeded our expectations. There was much more space than we had expected based on the description - including the fantastic private front lawn where we spent most of our free time. The location was perfect to get to many parts of LA - beach included. And Alicia got us everything we needed as we arrived - including a much earlier check-in so that our son could take a nap at the house upon arrival. We're so grateful we found this little gem and will definitley be back!

Roomy, charming place
We had stayed in the converted garage in the back on a previoius visit. This time, we were in the main house, and it was perfect. Roomy, well-appointed, comfortable bed, bright, and a nice kitchen with everything we needed for a six-day stay. (We didn't cook though.) Central air was efficient and cooled well, though we didn't need it. On street parking, but it was never a problem finding a space (be careful about which side of the street you park on, though; signs aren't that well marked and they'll ticket if you're on the wrong side during street cleaning.) Nice front yard. Back yard has a BBQ and tables. Manager Alicia was pleasant, punctual, responsive and helpful. We'll stay again.

Comfortable House, Charming Yard
We enjoyed this property. The property representative was always very quick to respond to any of our questions and made sure everything was clean before we took residence. As we had arrived in town early, she allowed us to drop our bags off before our booking time began.
The back yard is really nice with beautiful plants, and it has a table and chairs for comfortable sitting.
Parking is on the street, sometimes a bit tight, but we always managed to find a spot.
One of the great things about the property is that it is very quiet and we had no problem sleeping.
Thanks for a great stay!

Our Favorite Home Away From Home
I have never written a review, good or bad, of any rental property we’ve ever stayed in, but this was by FAR our favorite ever! Check in was simple, the house was impeccable and we have such fond memories of our time there - it genuinely felt like home. Situated in a quaint family neighborhood with great coffee down the road at Millcross it’s easy access to the highway. We were so sad to leave and look forward to our return!

Property is nice. Love the "hacienda" ambiance. Neighborhood is friendly. House is in walking distance to coffee shop, nail salon and other venues. Would come back again.

Excellent location for sightseeing around LA!
We stayed here with our kids (4 and 2) and found the home to be very ideal. Great location to parks and coffee shops (Millcross is a must!) and easy access on/off the highways for all other major sites and coastal areas. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We loved the enclosed back yard area and the front larger area for playing sports with the kids. Overall it’s been a comfortable stay and we’d come back if we visited LA in future.

Lovely bungalow in Culver City
We really enjoyed our time here. Great location for various restaurants, as well as the beach. Lovely patio for hanging out for morning coffee and watching the birds. We had a hard time getting in touch with the property manager to check in, but once we were able to, things were smooth.

A true home away from home
This was the perfect little getaway house for our LA trip to visit my folks. All of our friends who visited us commented on how charming the house was.
We spent lots of time playing in private and sunny front lawn, with its own big palm tree and lush landscaping. And we had multiple dinners in the enchanted back garden, which has a trickling fountain that attracts multiple beautiful birds, as well as a gas grill. (I did my morning meditations back there, and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds flit about the flowers and fountain.)
The house really felt like a home. The AC, TV/Internet and other critical appliances worked well, and we spent a lot of time cooking and dining in the kitchen alcove. One thing to note is there was zero leftover condiments/cooking oil, etc., so do plan to bring your own if - like us - you have a little one that you need to provide for! The place could also use some additional silverware - there was only one steak knife, for example.
The location was terrific for us since we had friends and relations in Mar Vista, Venice and Palms - all very convenient, as was the beach, about a 17-minute drive in light traffic. The house is also about a 4-minute drive from a shopping center with Ralph's Supermarket, Rite Aid, and Best Buy.
I highly recommend this rental and hope to return on our next visit to the LA area.

Perfect Culver Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Culver City property. Great walking neighborhood, close to Culver City restaurants and the beach. The property has incredible front and backyard outdoor space and the interior was well designed and very functional for our family. I would for sure stay again.

Large clean space. European feel with nicely remodeled kitchen and bathroom. Lovely garden.

Cute home and yard.
The home was cute, clean and beds were comfortable. There was very bare basics. No hair dryer or iron and they were delivered in our third day. Very little hospitality shown compared to other vrbo properties. There are two other units crammed in the back so there were people coming and going all the time.

Private, clean, modern house in great neighborhood
Our family of four really enjoyed staying at this property. Located in Culver City, this home had everything we needed for a nice vacation in California. Hosts were easy to work with, communication was great, no issues. Love the neighborhood. Close proximity to parks, great food, and entertainment.

Culver City VBRO - great location!
This is an adorable property- with 2 queen beds and 1 bath.
The furnishings are TOO sparse- with 4 adults, there was not enough seating in the living room to relax. The antique settee is not comfortable.
The back patio is wonderful, and the yard is peaceful.
The kitchen is very small- galley style - and limited dishes and silverware- not enough to have more than 1 meal without having to wash the dishes.
Location is fabulous- can walk to many restaurants, and the beach is close!
So add a bit more stock to the kitchen and living room- maybe a dining table too, & it would be better!

Perfect place!
This is a beautiful place to stay. The house is charming, with arched entrances and lots of light. The beds are super comfortable and the full size washer and dryer are great. We stayed for one month with 2 adults and 2 little boys. They especially enjoyed the empty room to play with their trucks and dinosaurs! Plus, the front and back yards were a great place to play and very private.
I was worried about no air conditioning, but the month of June was perfect weather, with constant cool breezes blowing through. Although our last day, temperatures got to the triple digits and it was uncomfortably warm, even with all the fans blowing.
The neighborhood is great, quiet and beautiful. Parking was a problem at times. We had to park 2 blocks away occasionally, usually if we stayed out later than 6pm.
So, no air conditioning, plus very uncomfortable couches were my only complaints. All in all, it was a fantastic vacation!

Great for family of four!
We enjoyed the five nights at the Hacienda. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to all LA has to offer. Parking was not a problem. Backyard was great. The only quirk of the house is the heating; there is only one central heating vent for the whole house.

This was our second stay
There are actually three rental units on this site.
We stayed in the rear two bed two bath unit.
It was great. Each bedroom had its own bath
and everything was new. But the best is Alicia.
She was very responsive to my texts.

Great Space; Great Location
This home was the perfect location and space for our Thanksgiving week stay in Los Angeles. The house is clean, well equipped and was the perfect location for our stay near family and friends. Quick access to Culver City, West Los Angeles, Santa Monica and the 405 and I10 freeways. The backyard provided a great retreat as well for relaxing.

What Home Away is all about
My family and I rented this warm and comfortable home for several days in July. It was more than we expected. Clean, bright, airy, lovely. Backyard garden was delightful with an ongoing water feature that you can hear from the bedroom. There is nothing I would change. Wonderful central location. Easy access to highways and shopping. House Manager was easily accessible and accommodated our needs. My family never wants to go back to a hotel. The only addition that I would make is to add some more bath towels and lighting for the backyard garden. This will be my LA rental from now on. Thank you so much for a wonderful and relaxing vacation.
