I will definitely stay here again when needing a room convenient to Quito airport.

I left for the airport too early to want breakfast, but I ate dinner the night before and it was delicious and a good value. Very kind people and convenient to airport. I also felt very safe.

Très bon hébergement à côté de l'aéroport

Très bien accueillis par Elisabeth dans son bel hôtel familial. Chambre fonctionnelle et très propre. Bonne literie. Parking dans le beau jardin. Nous avons dîner et petit-déjeuner et c'était très bien.. Elisabeth propose de laver le linge qui est un vrai plus. Elle assure également les transferts pour l'aéroport qui est 10 mn seulement.

We needed a base near Quito airport, and Las Hortensias delivered well

Nice breakfast: fruit, juice, bread, and hot eggs, drinks and Ecuadorian specialties. Comfy beds, quiet rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Shared sitting room and kitchenette for making and heating tea and coffee. Hosts went out of their way to be helpful.

The location would be pretty good for some guests (10 km from the airport), but for us (provided with the wrong rental car, moreover without GPS) it was hard to find and park the first time.

We found it to be excellent value for the money. Highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable and close to airport.

English was a slight problem and we missed out on dinner . Not a big deal, as we ate at the airport. Simple misunderstanding.

Exceptional

Amazing little place for half the price of other hotel chains in the area. Rooms are great and clean with a private bathroom. Very comfortable and quiet. The owners / staff were extremely kind and helpful. They have a very sweet golden retriever living there. They brought me tea when I was feeling sick and retrieved our passports from the room when I accidentally left them behind. We will definitely come again.

Clean, spacious rooms, close to Quito airport, super friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Very clean, spacious rooms with excellent hosts. Close to the airport (which was.a primary factor for us) and they arranged transportation for a family of 5 adults to and from the airport for a very reasonable price. Free tea, coffee and fruit available all day. Nice common rooms for eating, relaxing or doing work. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reasonably priced lodging close to Quito airport.

A little slice of paraiso

I needed a relaxing and low-key way to end my trip and Las Hortensia's delivered. Didn't hurt I had the whole place to myself and the views were awesome. Great hospitality at the start, including the pick-up at the airport ($10 each way). Staff were awesome: thanks to Nicole for checking me in, Elizabeth for home-made meals and showing me around, and of course Nachito, the unofficial mascot haha. The location is within 10 minutes from the airport which was what I needed to be after so much transiting the last week, but still find a slice of nature and peace. Las Hortensia's also takes cc for payment so I ended up buying more items from their mini-store in addition to stay. Really enjoyed listening to your stories and I'm sorry my Spanish was limitado. Gracias por todo!

Not sure if this is really an issue for me because I made it work (tho has been mentioned in other reviews): lower water pressure for flushing and shower. I'm being really picky here but not a deal breaker.

beautiful grounds. peaceful even though close to busy area. the owner was so kind and cooked amazing breakfast. I hardly ever sleep well in new places and I got a great nights sleep here. cute animals all around. will definitely return!

Beautiful, spacious and bright casa.

Very beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming. The owner was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with lots of light. And the common area had lots of room and we were allowed to work there during the day. The kitchen was nice and big.

Great Breakfast, close to airport.

It's very close to the airport. Great breakfast, which was included.

We pre arranged airport transfer, but no one showed up. It would have been nice if they contacted me prior to let me know. I ended up arranging my own taxi to the hotel.

Our flight was delayed, and they were kind about messaging us back right away and getting us a taxi that evening at a time later than we all expected. Then having a ride ready for us again early the next morning.

Clean, friendly, nice breakfast. I arrived very late, after one in the morning, and someone was waiting with a sign for me at the airport, nevertheless, zand an easy ride back to the property. I was very relieved and happy.

Very nice cute hotel near the airport

The dinner was great! The room was very nice, and the bathroom, while small, was modern, clean, and had good water pressure. Staff was super helpful! There's even a pretty garden out front!

Like all Ecuadorian hotels, it was a little chilly because they don't have heat due to the year round temperate climate. They had extra blankets though, and I slept just fine.

Nice, comfortable, family-run place to stay - better option than the expensive chain hotels

Nice, comfortable little place with super friendly owners in a safe area (I felt totally comfortable walking around the area as a single woman), beautiful view of the mountains..hot water, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast that accommodated my dietary restrictions. The airport pickup was nice as well, they were there waiting for me and were punctual bringing me back for an early flight (it's only a 10-minute drive). Definitely recommend! Much better than spending $100+ for a big chain hotel by the airport.

My only complaint was that the water in the shower didn't drain quickly but otherwise everything was perfect.

Best Place to Stay and Relax

The bedrooms were very spacious and the common areas were beautifully lit and decorated. The food served for dinner and breakfast was delicious. And the owner was so friendly and accommodating.

We loved everything about the place. Can't complain.
