About this apartment rental
The apartment, with a capacity of five people (maximum 4 adults) is situated in the Domus Iberian Complex in Burgau, a pretty, picturesque, fishing beachside village on the edge of the Vicentina Coast National Park. It is fully equipped and furnished with every comfort for a relaxing holiday including air-conditioning / heating in the sitting room and both bedrooms. The double, main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The twin bedroom opens to the balcony, which has a built-in BBQ, awning and outdoor furniture and offers a nice view of the sea. These views are impressive from the large private roof terrace, which has plenty of seating and sun loungers. Also upstairs there is a private storage room ideal for keeping golf clubs, surf boards etc.
The village is a 2 minute walk away. The superb sandy beach is a 5 minute walk away.
Burgau is just one hour away from Faro international airport. It is surrounded by amazing beaches and picturesque towns, so it can very conveniently be used as a base for excursions. The town itself and its beach are some of the least spoiled in the Algarve but it offers a great variety of bars, restaurants along with local shops, ATM, a supermarket, a bus stop, taxi rank and a Sports Center.

The property manager is very efficient, speaks English fluently and is always helpful and on hand in case of need.
Excursion recommendations
Burgau Beach and the nearby Luz Beach and Salema is one of the Algarve's south facing beaches, more sheltered and ideal for younger families. But you can also enjoy the northwestern beaches Castelejo, Monte Clerigo, Arrifana, Amado Beach, which are very popular among surfers.
There is a great variety of walking trips on the Vincentian Route, but you can always hike to the magnificent Old Huts while enjoying the great sea views.
In the extreme south western point, the lighthouse in the Cape of Sao Vicente (20 minutes drive) is an obligatory visit for outstanding sunsets.
Lagos (9 km east of Burgau) is one of the Algarve's most attractive and historic towns. It offers excellent beaches (Meia Praia, Dona Ana Beach, Mos Port) Boat trips along the coast are very popular and an option for children (dolphin watching), but a visit to the Lagos Zoo will make them unquestionably happy. Other attractions they will enjoy are Zoomarine, about 40 minutes drive, and water parks.

The apartment was lovely and clean with everything you need. But remember to do shopping before you arrive. That is not a negative.

Owner was very pleasant and available at all times for questions. She had compiled all kinds of tourist information and suggestions in a booklet for renters. All operating manuals for tv and appliances also available. Her place was clean and had all amenities you could need for your stay. We were very content in this lovely place.

Well set out and spacious apartment with a lovely sunny roof terrace. Love going back to Burgau and this apartment didn’t disappoint. Short walk to all amenities and beach down the slope.
Would have liked to access communal pool near the apartment but owner hopes to offer this next year. Was surprised only one clean etc when stayed 19 nights.
Overall a great place to stay though.

Quaint Village of Burgau
First was very happy with our apartment in Burgau had everything that was needed and Cati & Joao were great . Apartment was very roomy and had a roof top to take the sun. The small town was quaint and the beach was not crowded. Will stay here again

Lovely property
This is a lovely apartment with balcony at front (sun in afternoon and evening) and beautiful rooftop space, sun all day and evening.
Really well kitted out, lovely fresh kitchen will all mod cons.
I especially liked the gorgeous rooftop seating and loungers, all with immaculate cushions and pads. We watched the stars at night while playing cards.
The bedrooms are lovely with fresh white bedding and comfy mattresses.
We would def return to this apartment.

Modern apartment in a great location
The apartment had everything you need for a relaxed stay in Burgau. Very quiet condominium area. The coastal trail is lovely and it’s a great base for visiting other areas. You will probably want a car though.

Clean, modern apartment convenient to beaches, shopping and downtown.
This apartment was near perfect in every way. Its location, its suitability for a couple who cook quite a lot but eat out sometimes, and who also enjoy both hiking and laying out in the sun. The roof deck is an amazing plus here - extremely spacious and fairly private (depending on how many neighbors are in town at a given time). AND - great views from there. On-street parking was always available. Don't know if that changes during the high season.
The owner and property manager couldn't have been more responsive. They arranged weekly cleaning at no extra charge, which I believe, for a long-term stay (ours was a month) should be the norm. And pretty much anything a home cook would want was there.
If ever we plan to stay in this part of the Algarve, we'll try very hard to rent this apartment again.

Loved this condo!
This beautiful, roomy, clean condo in the charming village of Burgua was awesome! Very comfortable condo with everything we needed - including beach mats and umbrella for our beach days. The location is perfect - quiet and peaceful with a 5 minute walk to cafes, shops, and the beach. Cati was very responsive and very helpful. We would LOVE to return!!

Sehr schöne Wohnung
Alles hat bestens geklappt, vom netten und unkomplizierten Kontakt vor der Reise über den unkomplizierten Empfang (Anreise in der Nacht), den Wäschewechsel inkl. Reinigung nach einer Woche bis hin zur Abreise (in den frühen Morgenstunden). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, denn die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und komplett ausgestattet mit allem, was den Aufenthalt angenehm macht. Sehr schöne Dachterrasse mit tollem 360°Blick.
Wir können die Wohnung nur empfehlen!

great location, well furnished with great kitchen and spacious 2 br, 2 bthroom apartment in Burgau with great parking as well. very close to the town center and beach - hardly 5 minutes walk. Cati is an excellent host and very helpful. Burgau is a delightful town with very good restaurants and close to Lagos and the highway. Just a 3hr drive from Lisbon airport. will return again.

In a development we watched being built some years ago from the late afternoon delights of Ruis Bar, and bemoaned the loss of the lovely countryside view. So what a surprise to enter into a lovely, bright apartment, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. The roof terrace, with its views over the village and beyond, was an added bonus, catching the daytime breezes when the beach was too hot to mention!

In a development we watched being built some years ago from the late afternoon delights of Rui's Bar, and bemoaned the loss of the lovely countryside view. So what a surprise to enter into a lovely, bright apartment, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. The roof terrace, with its views over the village and beyond, was an added bonus, catching the daytime breezes when the beach was too hot to mention!

Wir waren 2 Wochen in der FeWo. Es hat alles gepasst, von der Beschreibung, über den Super unkomplizierten Empfang, den Handtuchwechsel und Reinigung nach einer Woche. Es ist alles da was man braucht und es ist eine sehr schöne Anlage. Kurze Wege in den Ort, zum Einkaufen, Restaurants und Strand. Wir kommen wieder.

Super schöne Wohnung in ruhiger Lage und toller Dachterrasse
Wir haben den Urlaub in dieser super schönen und sehr geräumigen Wohnung mit unseren zwei Kindern knapp 3 Wochen lang sehr genossen. Komplett ausgestattet mit allem, was den Aufenthalt super angenehm macht. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet. Es fehlte an nichts. Die Dachterrasse ist das absolute Highlight. Sonnenliegen, super gemütliche Sitzecke, Sonnenschirme und Tisch.... alles perfekt und wunderschön.
Ich kann diese Wohnung absolut für einen entspannten Urlaub empfehlen.
Auch der Hausverwalter ist super freundlich und für alle Anliegen sofort erreichbar. Zur Ankunft hatte er uns Schinken, Brot, Käse und Wasser in den Kühlschrank gelegt. Absolut super!!

Lovely Burgau stays the same
Our 4th visit to Burgau, 2nd in the same apartment block and the situation of the accommodation is perfect.
Walking distance to Burgau beach and close to other lovely local beaches, everything you need at the accommodation, lovely air/con and not noisy in operation.
Breakfast on the terrace every morning with food from the local shop/bakery and a 10 min drive to the supermarket that has everything you want.
We have always found the Portuguese to be very friendly and family orientated and nothing has changed.
Eating out this holiday we had some of the best fish we have ever had on holiday and not over the top expense wise.
Also Portugal always seems to have a lovely breeze on the beach that stops you burning, we swam every day and the weather was superb.

Fabulous apartment in beautiful Portuguese Village
Beautifully appointed two bedroom apartment in the little Western Algarve village of Burgau. Furnished to a very high standard, 5 minute walk to picture postcard beach and has a large, private rooftop terrace with sea views and sun all afternoon and evening. Excellent communication with owner and property manager before and during our stay. Located in a small private development with plenty parking and just a short walk to a variety of excellent restaurants, this is an outstanding property which we highly recommend.
