About this house rental
Newly renovated Gardenwalk Crest Spacious 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, ocean view home. As you take the short drive through Raspberry Lane the first thing you'll realize is that it is the perfect mix of privacy and convenience. The short road curves with the harbor so you can walk right into town, or enjoy the quiet serenity of your vacation spot. Situated on a gentle rise of land, this location overlooks Port Clyde village and harbor, with views beyond the nearby islands to Muscongus Bay. Upon your arrival you can park inside the two bay garage or in one of the two off-road spots in front of the garage. The home is situated on a large sloping lot with gracious lawns and a spectacular professionally maintained flower garden. Just below the deck is the cutting garden with a winding stone walkway. You will find no shortage of inspiration at this beautiful location. The garden and lawn area are ideal for setting up easels, photography, watching butterflies or seeing a great variety of birds. The water is tidal here so you will need to time your swimming adventures with the tides, however there is the nearby Drift Inn Beach for more spontaneous dips! The Port Clyde General Store is just 5 minutes away and has moorings to rent for your convenience. You enter this beautiful home through the kitchen which has a modern feel. The attractive shelving design offers immediate assurance that you have everything needed to dine in. Prepare your favorite meals, or experiment with local fare such as fresh caught Maine lobster! The kitchen has a large range with oven, a full-sized stainless refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, a dishwasher and all the dinnerware, utensils and cookware you might need. We've thought of everything. For your convenience there is a Keurig and a standard coffee maker, a toaster and a blender on the counter. The sturdy island offers seating for 3 and is the perfect spot to gather for an intimate breakfast before starting your day. To the right of the kitchen is the half bath which has a toilet and vanity sink with mirror. In this area is also a laundry room with a washer, dryer and folding area as well as a pantry to store your food. Moving along you enter the dining/living room area. This spacious part of the house brings together two of the most important parts about vacation: great meals with friends and family at the 6 person wooden dining table, where you can talk, laugh and the conversation just flows, and the comfortable seating areas with sofa and arm chairs. It doesn't matter if you are watching a TV show, playing board/card games, are nestled up on the couch with a glass of wine, or maybe just resting on the settee with a soft throw blanket and a book, the sense of relaxation just washes over you. The smart flat screen TV has basic cable, is internet ready and there is a Blu-ray player. If you prefer to be outside in the ocean air, the doors off the dining room bring you to an ocean-facing deck. Here you find a breathtaking view, lounge chairs, a patio table with 6 chairs and a grill and fire pit! Returning inside, you head up to the second floor where there are two king sized bedrooms both with ocean vistas. Each bedroom has L.L. Bean bedding, a closet and nightstands with lamps. Two of the king bedrooms have basic cable television with smart TV’s. The third bedroom has two twin beds and a partial ocean view. It has nightstands with lamps and a large closet in the hallway. Next to the third bedroom is a full bathroom which has a toilet, beautiful vanity area with sink and mirror, a tile shower and a large soaking tub. In addition to the standard entertainment amenities, this home also has a great selection of indoor games such as Monopoly, Scrabble, Checkers, and outdoor lawn games such as Lawn Darts, Bean Bag Toss, Croquet and Ladder Ball to name a few. Area Amenities: It's a short 5-minute walk or bike ride to the village post office, ice cream store and Port Clyde General Store, which is open daily, specializing in morning coffee and pastries, corn, blueberries, native lobsters, fresh cut meats, and all grocery supplies. This is a pleasantly old and proud Maine community with its own library in Tenants Harbor, a great school, fire department, rescue ambulance and is serviced by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. One-third of all Maine lobsters come from this county, named after Henry Knox, George Washington's chief artillery officer in the Revolutionary War of 1776. You can learn about him on the peninsula, as well as enjoy programs offered at Montpelier, the Knox mansion and museum. Experience local and wharf dining, Wyeth art tours by land and water, Monhegan Island ferry adventures to see Maine seabirds including puffins and American bald eagles, picnicking at Marshall Point Lighthouse, and good ice cream. These are all landmark features of nearby Port Clyde village. Provided for your convenience are initial supplies of the following: linens, bath towels, washcloths, hand towels and beach towels, your first tank of propane for the fire pit and gas grill, dish soap, dish washing soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, basic cable, wireless internet and a home phone (long distance is not included). This location has a DVD player/Blue-ray player. While we make every effort to assure the accuracy of this listing, as well as the condition of equipment and quality of provided services, we make no implied guarantee of connectivity for business class wireless internet, or services provided by a third party. That being said, we will do everything in our power to remedy any situation as quickly as possible.

Charming and well equipped home with absolutely stunning garden and yard. Completely relaxing and quiet. Spent one day on trip to Monhegan Island( walked to ferry). Highly recommend!
The Schoolhouse Bakery in Tenants Harbor supplied us with great bread and pastries. As others have mentioned, the port next door does have a lot of commotion around 3 am.

Nicest house we've ever rented in Maine. Beautifully laid out with high quality furniture, bedding, kitchen wares and tasteful, original art. It's a premium product in a lovely spot. The wrap-around deck, spacious lawn, and meticulously maintained garden are icing on the cake. We had a great time and already booked a repeat visit in 2025.

We have been coming to Port Clyde for over 25 years and it never disappoints. Started renting Linda Bean’s places around 10 years ago. This was our first time in this home and it was lovely! The only bad thing we experienced was the co2 detector went off 2x due to heavy fog, alarmingly in the middle of the night, but the property manager was incredibly responsive, helpful, and very knowledgeable putting our minds at ease. A minor blip compared to all the magic we experienced during our time there. We are grateful to have had our dream vacation in this very special place. Thank you for renting this home to us!

Veronika Carlson and Linda Bean’s Perfect Maine Vacation Rentals are wonderful. They have several properties on the Maine Coast, Port Clyde area. We have stayed in three over the past year or so, with absolutely no complaints. They know the business and are responsive to all needs and requests.

This was our first Vrbo rental and we were very impressed with the location and how clean and beautiful the house was. We couldn't have asked for a better location and rental house.

We spent a relaxing week enjoying this beautiful home and didn’t want to leave. The panoramic view, loads of windows, comfortable furniture and beautiful artwork are just a few of the things that make this an extra special house. Each day, our dog was anxious to explore the area and sit on the deck with us. Looking forward to returning!!!

The property is beautifully maintained and comfortable for 6 adults. We enjoyed a perfect fall week, with views of the active harbor, walks, and day-trips to explore the area. We return every year to enjoy the beauty of Port Clyde and the surrounding areas - nothing like it!

The Gardenwalk house is a lovely home with beautiful views of the harbor and nearby islands. We spent many hours enjoying the deck and the fire pit.
The house was very clean and well-kept. The beds were very comfortable and the noise of the harbor early in the morning was not a problem for anyone in our family — I did turn the fans on at night to provide white noise which may have made a difference.
I highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Port Clyde.

We had an ideal family vacation in Port Clyde at 8 Raspberry Lane. We have been coming to Maine and St George Peninsula for 16 years but this was our first time staying directly in the village/harbor of Port Clyde. The home itself was incredibly comfortable (the beds!!) and the furnishings and decor were very elevated for a rental (beautiful artwork, incredibly comfortable beds, top of the line kitchen equipment, furniture, etc). Best of all was the wrap around view from the living room and the deck, which was gorgeous. We also took advantage of the very sweet fishing cottage down below for games of cards at night and sitting by the fire pit, which was such a unique feature of the house. The location was mostly perfect because we were traveling with not-yet-driving-teenagers so they were able to walk easily to town and visit the general store, the ice cream shop, and the coffee shop. As a family we also took walks to the lighthouse which is a must. The one issue for some might be the close proximity to the lobster pound, which we didn't realize how close it was. A huge plus is that we were able to buy lobsters directly off the dock and the price could not be beat. But the docks were lit up and busy at all hours of the night and from the bedroom you could hear trucks and workers coming and going at 1am, 3am. For us we would stay again because of all the other wonderful features and we like a little activity, but if you want solitude then this might not be the right spot.

We loved this property. The garden was perfectly bordered and maintained which made the dog stay easier. The house was outfitted with everything we could possibly need. The views were exactly what we wanted. The bedrooms had king sized beds (in 2 of them). The house was also perfectly decorated. Loved it! Coming back soon.

Loved Port Clyde, especially being able to walk the short distance into the village: meals on the water, ice cream, breakfast & shopping at the Port Clyde General Store, the Wyeth and Barbara Ernst Prey galleries, hopping the boat to Monhegan for a day of hiking, and a wonderful walk to the Marshall Point lighthouse. Loved the quirky, charming, rocky Drift In beach; and watching the lobster boats on the harbor. Some in our group rented kayaks which were dropped right at the boathouse, very convenient! The house was extremely clean and neat, and HGTV perfect. (We kinda missed the "vintage" Maine spirit, but we're probably the outliers). And Veronika couldn't have been more responsive to the few questions we had upon arrival. Especially helpful was the warning about the July 4th fireworks right in front of our deck. Long, loud, and beautiful, with the best seats in the house (if you're not a dog!) Only quirk of the house was the lack of cabinet space for storing groceries. And the lack of basic condiments and gen'l cooking supplies other than salt/pepper (sugar, mustard, etc.) we've always found in rentals over the years. This was our first VRBO – friends tell us that's typical. Otherwise, kitchen was expertly fitted out (if a bit tight to get around with six prepping for a meal.) One negative, the pics didn't quite alert us to the view of the road/trucks/work activity directly in front of the property. But the glorious garden between house and road helped make up for it!

We loved our stay here! PROS: The house is extremely comfortable with plenty of space for our family of four, my mother-in-law & our dog. It is well-appointed with everything you could possibly need. The decor is quintessential Maine very charming. The location is fantastic, we walked into Port Clyde in minutes for meals, shopping, as well as catching boats for a puffin tour & Monhegan Island. It is a short distance to Drift Inn beach, which is lovely at low tide. It is a short ride to surrounding towns with much to offer. Despite much fog & rain, we still had a wonderful time. The home has an awesome toy closet & multiple spaces to read, watch TV, and relax. The view from the deck is amazing. There is plenty of outdoor space to entertain if vacationing in close proximity to friends & family. The property manager was easy to reach & very helpful. CONS: No A/C if that is something you are looking for. It was cool for us & there are fans provided, so we were ok. Given the location, & that harbor work starts very early in the morning, 4 AM-ish, with windows open, this can wake you. Check in and check out as listed on VRBO is 5 pm and 9 am, but is actually 4 pm and 10 am. There is one full bath & one half bath, I missed this & thought there were 2 full. Finally you will find yourself doing some housework before checking out including washing/drying all towels, stripping beds & starting first load & vacuuming with a heavy, awkward vacuum. This dampened my vacation buzz a bit.

The house is spectacular, this was at least our fourth time renting it....brand new with the best kitchen and cooking implements; the view is one of the best from any house in Maine of a working harbor that is stunning and always has activity.

Great property - our second time staying here and we loved it as much as the first time.

Beautiful property and tremendous location in Port Clyde. You can walk into town for dinner and the views are stunning. The house is well decorated and has everything you need in a kitchen (yes, even a waffle maker). It is a quiet street but overlooks a lobster pound...so the time (4:00 a.m.) and saltiness of the language can be a bit much when it gets loud but I'm a heavy sleeper and it's not the owners fault. No Air conditioning in the home but we stayed during a very warm week and there is always a refreshing breeze coming off the water (on this peninsula). We were worried about the heat but it was a non-issue (despite the very warm temps). We had one issue with the refrigerator...it kept beeping because of the cooling fan. Called Veronika and Chip (maintenance guy) arrived on a Sunday night 30 minutes later so responsive there. In short, I would stay there again or at another property with this group.

Sunset Views!
We had a beautiful stay! The house was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The fire pit was so nice to sit on the incredible deck and enjoy the sunset over the water! Veronika was so helpful & let us know the local restaurants were closed for the season but had the best meals at North Beacon Oyster in Rockland! We can’t wait to return! Thank you!

Beautiful house, beautiful area!
This house met all of our desires for a house in Maine. It was absolutely beautifully decorated with antiques & modern, all nautical! It was stocked with everything you could need or want! The only thing missing was lid to lobster pot.🤷🏼♀️We compromised with lg pizza pan.

A wonderful and colorful time away from our usual world.
The furnishings were sophisticated and comfortable. The books and curios brought the house alive. We loved walking through the beautiful flower garden to the boat house which was so relaxing and interesting. Looking at the harbor was like reading a Richard Scary book to your child...except it was all alive! We could see everything in Port Clyde!
We only have 3 negative comments:
One of the king size beds had no blanket or quilt which is needed at night; there was insufficient flatware, ex. only 4 teaspoons and small forks; there was not sufficient space in which to store our clothes leaving us living out of our suitcases.
We loved meeting Chip whose personality added to our fun.

awesome house
Great location, great outdoor space, easy access to house's boathouse/dock to kayak daily and great set up to cook at home with professional quality pans/knives/stove. Easy walk to town to Wyeth gallery, coffee shop, ice cream store and great daily tours by lobster boat offered by Wyeth gallery on Wyeth art. Wonderful!

A gem
We love Port Clyde and love this house. Renting a property from Linda Bean Vacations is how renting all vacation homes should be. Spotlessly clean, unbelievably well stocked and authentic experience. To make it better, the house was renovated since we stayed there last year. And it’s pet friendly too so our best friend can join in the adventure. The property manager, Veronika is also a pleasure to deal with. Prompt resonse and very professional. Thanks for yet another lovely time. Peaceful, and the small town has everything we needed.

Really top notch house in amazing location. Veronika and her team were A+++; very responsive, professional and down to earth. We stayed two weeks and loved every minute. The boathouse with firepit, deck, comfy chairs and well-appointed room was a huge bonus. Property is walking distance to restaurants, ice-cream, shops, lighthouse and the Monhegan Boat Lines (a must-do day trip). East access to many great nearby locations, including Tenant's Harbor, Rockland and Camden. An easy 5-star rating on this one!

We loved this house. Views from every room, so much outdoor space, a dock and boathouse. It was cool to watch the lobster and fishing boats working, and easy to kayak from the dock. The house was beautiful though the kitchen was a little small for more than one cook, but we were very happy and will come back.

My husband and I spent a week in Port Clyde with our dog. It was a fantastic getaway and just what we needed to get over our cabin fever due to COVID! The house was wonderful, very clean and well stocked, and the location is awesome, looking out over the harbor and a short walk to the general store. Our dog loved his walks in the area. We worked remotely while there and had no problems with the internet. We will definitely be back to Maine and this house.

Gardenwalk Crest & Dock house was awesome - great location, walking distance to general store, and pier. Deck has beautiful views of water and sunset. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking lobsters, etc. Property manager was available for any questions during our stay. Another plus for renting a Linda Bean property. Thanks again......

Magical location!
8 Raspberry is perfectly located in the charming fishing village of Port Clyde. The garden and view are both stunning. The house could use some refreshing. That said, we very much enjoyed our stay.
