Struttura completamente incentrata sul benessere degli animali, rispettosa delle loro necessità ma al contempo permette di vivere un’esperienza unica con elefanti: addromentarsi accompagnati dal suono del respiro di questi meravigliosi animali e’ qualcosa di unico. Struttura inoltre pulitissa e arredata con cura. Camera grande e spaziosa con tutti i confort.

The breakfast menu was very good & the venue was very homely , good selection of food ,from hot to cold . Staff very polite & attentive to guests needs .
Don't think thier is anything bad to say about the place the one thing that I did find is the park doesn't have disabled access. Otherwise can't fault the place .

Staying at the Knysna Elephant Lodge cannot be summed up in mere words such as awesome, wonderful, enchanting, spiritual. It was so magical to feed, walk with and observe these majestic land animals 24/7! The grounds were beautiful, the staff and guides fantastic and of course the elephants. Both my travel partner and I felt that if we didn’t have family and obligations back home, we would have stayed on and volunteered. It was that phenomenal of an experience!

Sehr freundliches Management mit flexibler Lösung. Tolle Aussicht über den Park von der Terrasse aus. Faszinierend so nahe an den großen afrikanischen Elefanten zu stehen.
Rezeption war bei Ankunft geschlossen. Das war nach einer sehr langen Anfahrtsstrecke über hunderte Kilometer für uns zu früh.

Clean and comfortable rooms.
No rooms for 5 so we needed to book a second room. Restaurant closes at 16.30 but easy to get to Plettenberg for dinner.

Gorgeous lovely accommodation on site. You get to watch the elephants sleep at night.
We knew in advance but be aware the restaurant isn’t open for dinner so either bring your own (there’s a microwave) or you’ll have to go off site

Einfach ein tolles Erlebnis die Elefanten füttern zu können und ihnen nachts beim Schlafen zuzusehen! Es hat sich in jedem Fall gelohnt auf der Lodge zu übernachten. Die Tour Meet our herd können wir jedem nur empfehlen, egal ob man hier übernachtet oder nicht. Näher kommt man wohl nirgends an die Elefanten heran. In jedem Fall auch einen Futtereimer für die Tour kaufen! Die Lodge selber hat nur wenige Zimmer und man hat nachts die Möglichkeit von einem Aufenthaltsraum aus den Elefanten in der Halle beim Schlafen zuzusehen. Das Gelände auf dem sich die Elefanten auch nachts bewegen können (Innen- und Außengehege) scheint ausreichend groß. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, und auch von unserer eigenen Terrasse hatten wir einen Blick auf das Außengehege der Elefanten. Es gibt ein Bistro in dem das Frühstück serviert wird. Man kann aus verschiedenen Speisen wählen. Es gibt nur bis 17h Abendessen auf der Lodge, danach ist nur noch das nächtliche Wachpersonal da, aber wir haben in einem sehr guten Restaurant auf der anderen Seite der Hauptstraße in einem Resort gegessen, das waren nur gute 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top, und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. In jedem Fall empfehlen wir von hier auch einen Ausflug zu Robberg Island…immer wieder traumhaft schön.

Die Nähe zu den Elefanten war sehr beeindruckend! Die Menschen dort kümmern sich sehr gut um die Tiere. Natürlich ist es touristisch aufgebaut, aber damit wird das pflegen der Elefanten finanziert! Und die Elefanten sind bei der Fütterung sofort da! Die Unterkunft war klasse… alles sauber und das Frühstück ( Jogurt, frisch geschnittenes Obst und Müsli ) und die Männer Toastbrot mit Ei, Schinken etc. war sehr lecker!

The elephants are kept in great conditions. Visitors are able to feed and walk with the elephants in a safe space without negatively impacting the wellbeing of the animals. The park works with an elephant research unit to continually improve the wellbeing of the animals
Can get a bit hot at night (particularly room 6) as the fan is away from the bed.

Adorei o quarto, linda decoração e bem espaçoso.
Achei todas as comidas do café/restaurante muito boas.
Adorei a interação com os elefantes.
E amei poder ficar assistindo eles durante a noite e da janela do nosso quarto, era número 6.
Não tem ar condicionado, estava quente.
O café/restaurante fecha às 17:00 para último pedido, te levam no quarto às 17:30, apesar de ter microondas pertinho do quarto para aquecer, achamos cedo, acabou ficando com cheiro de comida no quarto.

To be close to elephants and see how well reisen cared of they are.
The breakfast was not the best and there was no possibility to eat dinner. Luckily the next door neighbor was a fantastic vineyard.

Schönes Ambiente, war toll so nah an Elefanten zu sein. Eine tolle Erfahrung.
Also wenn man 20 Elefanten erwartet wird man enttäuscht es sind 5. Ich hoffe die Geschichten über die geretteten Elefanten stimmen. Ausstattung der Zimmer war ok, aber ehrlichgesagt nichts außergewöhnliches.

There is no better place for elephant encounter
You can sleep next to ellies and hear their gentle snoring. See them at night 😀
Elephant encounter is a big joy and is included in overnight price, which makes it a good value
Just walk at the beautiful place so close to zebras is magial

After 17:00 restaurant is closed and there is only microwave

Fantastic to have a room overlooking the elephants. All the staff were really friendly.

Rooms nice and clean. We stayed in Harry ( room 1) which overlooked the park from the balcony and from the side window where the Ellie’s slept- so I didn’t get much sleep as kept watching them. -they weren’t noisy. Everywhere in the park was clean food good and staff friendly and helpful.

Very nice and comfortable appartments, with a fantastic shared "livingroom" from where you can watch the elephants in the evening and when they sleep. If they go indoors. We luckily had that experience, but the elephants can decide that themselves. All the luxury you need, and not many appartments. So very nice. Unique experience.
Restaurant closes early. The have 5 elephants at the moment. For us more than enough, and a great experience, but just to manange your expectations. We also did the morning walk. A bit touristy, but nevertheless we would not have want to miss that.

The room we stayed in Sally room 2 was lovely , clean and beautiful with a great balcony overlooking the park and the Eleohants . Staff especially Kuda our guide on our walks with the Elephants was very funny and informative . . A great stay so quiet and relaxing and got to see the Eleohants asleep in the Boona during the night , unforgettable,Thankyou .

Deceiving when you do the booking. Advertising one price for 2 persons for 2nights and after you do the booking and not refundable its indicating its only the price for one person and not for two. Unacceptable and bad advertising

The interaction with the giants of Africa was definitely an unforgettable experience, not to mention the privilege to see them sleeping. We had the opportunity to interact with Intenational travellers and share positive thoughts about our beautiful country.

This is a beautiful well looked after place where visitors can enjoy the views and garden and most of all the elephants. It is an experience to see the elephants sleeping at night and to get to know them. Was a lovely get away.
