About this house rental
Arrive in Sunset Beach and experience 4000’ of this lovely detached, traditional and luxury beachfront home! Located right on the sand with views of the gleaming waters of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina.
Upon entering the smart (electronic) home you will find a spacious open plan great room, with access to the beach deck. There are seating and dining areas plus a well equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Through the hall there is a guest bedroom with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom. Also a powder room.
On the 2nd floor there is a tv room with seating for 6 and a 62” LG television. The large master suite with king bed has a 55” Roku television. Both areas have views of the pacific. There is also a laundry room.
The third floor features 2 large bedrooms and a bathroom with views of the pacific and harbor.
Enjoy soft water with the whole house conditioning filter. For your convenience most lighting has Alexa voice control. There is further automation of lighting, heating and fans. Fiber optic internet provides speeds of up to 500 kbps up and down.

We were overwhelmed with a musty smell upon arrival. We encountered many items in the home that didn’t work and were just neglected over the years. I am a contractor, and everything I know leads to the presence of mold in the house Big time. Lights were blown out, 2 fans shorted out in my daughter’s room and there were ants everywhere. I have many photos of the water damaged walls and baseboard.. this place is way overpriced for the shape of the house. The location is amazing so we just dealt with it. I would be remiss if I didn’t say something for my future VRBO travelers. This home has clearly been a cash cow for many years for the owner with no money put back into the home.

This was our first time staying in Sunset Beach and it was fantastic. The accommodations were exactly as shown on the website. On-site support to get into the property and answer questions was wonderful and always just a text away. The owner was responsive and all of the furniture and applicances were in great shape. Great house in a great location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property on Sunset Beach. There's nothing like stepping off your patio directly onto the beach. My kids had a blast building sand castles and boogie boarding. The house is nicely equipped and appointed. I loved listening to the waves crash and feeling the ocean breeze from both the master bedroom and while napping on the couch with the sliding doors wide open.
Two fun diners are a block away and more restaurants are a short walk across the PCH, along with a nice natural grocery store, Mother's Market.
Nicholas was great to work with and was kind enough to mail my watch back to me when I forgot it on the counter.
We'd definitely return!

Amazing home in a great location
Our goal was beach and relaxation. This house offers that in a way that isn’t achievable with most places. The property is amazing. Sunset beach is a gem. Slower than Huntington or other hot spots. It’s quiet and peaceful. Some great little restaurants and diners within walking distance. The house is huuuge. Much bigger than the pictures let on. Do not hesitate to rent this property. There were not ants or bugs. The kitchen is fully stocked. Couldn’t have asked for more. Nicholas is also an amazing host. Thank you for everything!

Quality Stay
Overall a quality stay. Communication with Nicholas prior to check in, at check in, and throughout stay was great. He was available and willing to accommodate all requests and was timely. Location of home is fantastic. Direct beach access (to a nice beach), and easy to get to/from home via vehicle. The home is above average and has everything we needed. Overall a good stay - if paying for beach access and location - worth it. If paying for the home, probably over-priced. Overall positive review.

Buyer Beware!
The location is amazing, the place has a lot of potential, however the so called property manager was difficult and non accommodating.
Home is infested with ants, every level, every room, even bathrooms. Food left in refrigerator from previous guests, no outside lighting on the deck so unable to enjoy this part after sunset. Cannot control the temperature of home and it was hot, no screens on any windows and main level br has trash cans on side of home, exactly where the only non screen window is. You stay in that room you smell trash the entire time. Jetted tub pictures but doesn't work. Furniture outdated. Kitchen is the best part however the home rule book says to avoid ants don't bring food in or outside the home! No remote for upstairs tv and master tv has a grainy picture and barely watchable. For the money it's not worth it. Property manager wouldn't even respond to any requests to resolve ANY issues. It could be an amazing place, the beach was beautiful and area bars and restaurants were in walking distance.

Loved the view and location. However house had many issues. Many electrical issues with an issues of ants. Hot tub did not work and switches in restrooms did not work. Other then that it was an enjoyable trip.

Great stay on the beach
Our family loved the location and size of this property - leaving the windows open at night to listen to the waves rolling, walking out back to the beach with coffee in hand in the morning to watch the surfers. We had 8 people and the place allowed everyone to either be in the same space or in their own space. We were within walking distance of restaurants and other necessities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Amazing Location and Space but Disappointing
The size of the house and the oceanfront location is amazing...but the lack of cleanliness and the absence of the "small things" led to some disappointment. As we checked in, we found trash cans in some rooms that were not emptied. The towels in the bathrooms were moist and looked dirty so we washed them. There were no kitchen rags so we used paper towels the entire time. The oven did not work. The furniture (both inside and outside) is used and worn out. Worst of all, the heater on the first floor was not working. It wasn't until the second night that the property manager brought two heating towers which happened to heat very well. The property manager was very responsive but lacked urgency and the customer service intuition to fully prepare the house. Oh...and we had no access to the garage in spite of having 9 bicycles with us. I later learned that the garage is completely empty and it would have been nice to have been able to store the bicycles inside as it rain all day on the second day of our stay.

Wonderful Stay!
We loved every minute of our stay here. The house is spacious and clean and has gorgeous views of the water from each floor. We were close enough to walk to good restaurants. Our favorite part was the incredible deck, we spent most of our time there. Nicholas was very courteous and quick to respond to any questions we had. We plan to stay here again!

Beautiful home, great location right on the sand
We stayed here for a family gathering of 10 including two teenagers and two small kids. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit at the dining table, socialize or retreat to a corner. The teenagers loved the TV room upstairs. Even though we’re in winter, the four young ones never missed an opportunity to play in the sand and wade into the water, with parents watching from the deck or second floor of the home which has beautiful views of the water.
If you have guests with limited mobility, please note that whichever way you enter the house there will be 3-4 steps. We used the first floor bedroom which has a queen bed with a super comfy memory foam mattress and attached bathroom, but there are 4 steps up to the social areas (an FYI for guests using walkers).
Nicholas let us in upon arrival and checked us out upon departure. He was very helpful and returned our calls for information promptly. Our only comment would be that the cleaning service had missed 1-2 spots and hadn’t replenished all bathroom amenities, otherwise all worked smoothly, everyone enjoyed their stay. Thank you.

Great house, perfect location!
This house worked out perfectly for our family vacation with our three grown children and their families. Right on the beach, nearby restaurants and shopping, and within easy driving distance to many major Southern California attractions. A few minor issues, but Nicholas, the property manager, was quick to take care of everything that he could. We Hope to come back next year.

Property Unfit for Habitation - If I Could Rate ZERO Stars It Would Get Them!
We are owners of and rent short term properties and have never seen a property that was in such need of repair and unfit for people to live in! The pictures on VRBO are not accurate, the place is dirty, doors blocked, window covers gone, lighting is sparse throughout, there is minimal amenities if any at all as well as many issues listed below!
-Starting with are arrival, we show up and there were mouse droppings all over the floor and in kitchen cupboards. (Previous renters also had issue, obvious management company did not fix)
-The temperature in the house was 60 degrees and the furnace for the 1st floor was not working, it was unplugged and the management company & owners knew about it. No heat on the 1st floor except for a space heater they brought that was completely ineffective.
-The second floor thermostat was locked by the owners or management company, we had to track them down to unlock it.
-Then it rained for multiple days and the first floor ceiling and walls started leaking all over the living room for multiple days. We contacted the management company and were told there are towels in the garage and sorry about the leak.
-Who knows how much mold is in the walls and ceiling because of the inundation of water (City of Huntington Beach will be receiving a complaint).
-The second floor balcony and sliding glass door in the TV room leaked and required more towels. We had to lay out a tarp on the balcony to try and keep the water away from coming in the door and ceiling below (no management company help!).
-The main floor sliding glass doors going out to the beach were jammed shut by a screwdriver under the door track.
-Lighting around the interior of the house did not work requiring calls to the management company.
-Lighting on the back deck facing the beach did not work
-There were very few cooking utensils in the kitchen
-Silverware in the kitchen, there were 3 forks
-½ of the burners on the stove did not work and were labeled INOP by the management company or owner.
-The hood vent fan and lights above the stove were INOP and the controls for them were removed from the unit.
-Beds upon arrival were not made and sheets were stuffed in cabinets and closets.
-Vents and wall lights throughout the unit were covered in rust and were INOP
-Upon arrival there was a plate in the sink with food on it and gnats on it and a gatorade drink on the dining room table
-To make up for the issues the management company offered us a free say in the place
