Sandy's Secret at Palmetto Beach, Avenida Mangle, Caye Caulker, Belize.
Sandy's Secret, a two bedroom unit, is located on the beach level and is Ocean Front! Sandy's has its own entrance. In addition, Sandy's was built using sound insulation in reinforced concrete, minimizing any noise from outside.
We have a security guard on site and our office hours are 8:00am - 6:00pm, so someone is always on hand to help with your needs. The office is immediately on your right as you walk through the gates to Palmetto Beach.
The apartment is light and airy, with incredible, impressive views of the beach, dock, sea and the reef beyond. It offers easy access to the Beach Path, which will take you right into the center of town by either a 5-10 minute bike ride, or a 10- 15 minute walk from town. A lovely small cafe is on the property.
Completed by Belizian craftsman, the workmanship gives you a total Caribbean feel. The floor plan includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds that can be made into a King upon request. For convenience, depending on the group, we have added two futons for those who would rather not share a bed. All linens are 600 thread count; the full bathroom is always stocked with thick, plentiful towels and beach towels. Air conditioning is available as needed in all rooms and with individual preference in mind, each unit has a separate remote control. The kitchen is roomy and modern, stocked with whatever appliance you should need. The living area, which commands awesome views of the sea, has a flat screen TV, games, wi-fi and a movie library.
A few steps from the front door brings you to our man made beach area, jutting 50 feet into the sea, this provides another area in which to relax and enjoy the sun, there are a couple of palapas on the beach if you want to avoid the sun and corn hole as well as ladder toss to entertain you. Finally, just beyond the beach area, you come upon the 300 foot dock. With three separate entrances to the water below, there is room to dock your boat (if you have one!!), 6 pods extending outward for more room and a palapa at the end of the dock if you require shade. Covered with chaise lounges, you would be hard pressed to find a better place on Caye Caulker to just sit and relax, or watch the incredible sunsets.
Behind Sandy's is a tranquil palm grove with BBQ facilities including picnic tables and a giant Jenga game. Paddle boards and kayaks are available for free, Beer can be bought at the front desk by the bottle, the bucket or a whole case. You can also rent bikes and golf carts at the front desk or book tours with anyone of the many tour operators on the island for fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving or sunset sailing cruises, our staff are there to help. Bikes are available to rent at US $7.50 per bike, per day, We also rent golf carts but supply is limited. We recommend you reserve with us in advance.

Lovely unit for our stay! Nicely stocked kitchen, beautiful grounds and views of the sea. Loved all of the outdoor seating options and the large dock. It was great to have the pool to cool off in! And we were able to walk to the village for meals or to a nearby market for grocery items. We realized we could take a path along the beach as well to reach the village. Staff was super helpful and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again! Loved having the oceanfront property. Pool was clean and well taken care of. And the dock was great, my son loved fishing off of it.

The second we set foot in our property Sandy’s Secret it felt like home.
The unit was beach side with a courtyard.
It was immaculate and fully curated to fit any travellers!
There are paddle boards and beach games right outside the courtyard. It comes with full acres to docks for a swim or chillaxin on long beach chairs!
The front office is so professional and helpful to booking trips and or rent bikes and darts.
We did a snorkeling trip full day with Beasean Sea
Sandy our captain was awesome with the kids and us.
We will definitely be back to Veneto properties more specifically Sandy’s Secret unit.
At least this my youngest son’s dream;)
He didn’t want to leave!

The pool was a nice option. Bikes were 7.50 a day. nice dock. Great restaurant next door.

The staff were so helpful & accommodating. The grounds, pool & waterfront were always clean & beautiful. My only dislike which is not the properties fault were the sand flies, out of our group a few of us got them pretty bad. We prepared ourselves from them but it didn’t work.

What a wonderful spot! Sandy’s gets 5🌟all the way around. Everything was so good we never even had to reach out to property management. Seamless check in/out. Quiet area, direct beach access, no bustle around the home at all. All staff were amazing if we needed anything. Home has everything you need and more. Quick stops at the stores for basic supplies was a breeze. Golf cart rental highly recommended from this spot. If you’re looking for a boat charter, look no farther than MisJak Charters (reach out to Dylan & Ken). Will definitely be back

Velento is amazing. There was an issue with where we had booked and we were told upon arrival that they were moving us directly to another spot and it was a beautiful upgrade. Everyone was so kind and professional. Sandy’s secret was great. On the water. Perfect amenities in the unit. Air conditioning, beds, bathroom - all exceptional. Super clean. Felt safe and comfortable at all times and any questions regarding bikes, restaurants, or general were easily and professionally answered. Highly recommend.

My family of 5 (3 adults, 2 children) loved staying here. The location was a touch out of town, but taxis were cheap and easy to find if we didn't feel like walking. Staff are always available on the property, which made the stay super easy. The house itself is fantastic for a small group. We especially enjoyed going in the pools, playing beach games provided by the property, and hanging out on the dock. One day we borrowed boats from the property, and I appreciated that we didn't have to go through a rental company and could just use them for as long as we wanted (which wasn't long!).

We fell in love with our rental unit, Sandy's Secret, as soon as we arrived at the Palmetto Beach enclave. Our spacious, bright accommodation had everything we needed and was just right for all three of us. The views from our expansive porch and the garden were equally beautiful. Deb and Tim were excellent at addressing all of my inquiries prior to booking and made the entire process very simple. They were incredibly kind and all-around fantastic to work with, and they well beyond met our expectations. The Valento staff made sure to link the two twin beds together to create a king bed upon arrival and were all incredibly warm and friendly. They always had a smile on their face and were willing to offer their assistance. We really enjoyed the serene surroundings and pool area, which was so refreshing. The units also share the most magnificent dock where we were able to see amazing sunrises and sunsets. Additionally, using the bikes made getting around town a breeze. We had such a wonderful stay at Sandy's that we even extended an extra day because it was that great. All of the Valento properties are just as beautiful, so we will definitely be returning for more adventures at their properties.

Our family of four loved this location. Sandy's Secret is directly on the beach, in a very quiet section of the island. We got up every morning and watched the sunrise from the dock. We next had our coffee on the veranda, enjoying the view. We would walk along the beach to get to the main area of the island for the activities of the day. At days end, we appreciated the quiet area and the excellent air conditioning in the rooms. As for activities on the island, we loved watching the sun set at the Iguana Inn, having the sting rays tickle our toes. We enjoyed exploring the many eateries on the island. We did the full day snorkeling tour and loved seeing the coral reefs and had the opportunity to see turtles.

Property was very clean, and the grounds are beautiful . Staff were fantastic! Recommendations for taxis and snorkeling /fishing, etc. we’re very good. We were well taken care of and felt safe. Located just far enough away from the city center for peace and quiet but within walking distance.

This vacation rental exceeded our expectations. The house looks exactly as shown in pictures and is very clean. The surrounding property is so incredibly well maintained - there are people grooming and raking the property literally all day to keep it looking perfect. We didn’t realize that our stay would include regular cleanings and bedding changes (happened 2 times during our week stay) so this was a nice treat. We rented bikes for the week from the property manager, who was available for everything we needed btw, and got around just fine and it was so much fun! There are a bunch of bikes to choose from which was helpful when finding one that would work for our 7 year old son. We were able to explore the whole island including tons of great restaurants nearby. The property manager arranged our snorkeling trip and taxis when needed to transport our luggage also. We LOVED our stay at Sandy’s Secret and we miss Caye Caulker already…we will be back!

We loved every aspect of Sandy’s Secret! Nothing on this island is very far away but the property is still tucked away from the more busy part of the island. It was very quiet and we loved the tranquility of the property. My husband‘s brother joined us and since we only had two bedrooms they graciously provided us with an extra mattress for him to sleep on. They made it very easy to rent bikes for transportation. The staff was wonderful and referred us to several different adventures. The pool was refreshing and it was very nice to have a fresh water option. The dock and Cabana at the end was great! We snorkeled off the end of the dock and enjoyed seeing some sea life. I wish we had used the paddle boards and canoes but we will save that for next time. They came and cleaned every three days for us which was wonderful. The front desk was always available for us and arranged our departure taxi as well as our Covid tests. We even used the grill in the middle courtyard to have a cookout with our neighbors and grill the fish that we caught on one of our fishing adventures. Belize was an amazing experience and everyone on the island was so friendly and fun! Valento was a very well run and organized property that we would definitely visit again.

Perfect vacation in every sense
Initially a family trip that turned into just the hubby and I but we kept this property due to the location, Faces the Caribbean with a semi private dock. The property was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Randy was onsite to help excursions, etc.
The island is very accessible from the property but we chose to rent a golf cart due to some mobility issues. All arranged through the property

Beautiful Beachfront Rental
We loved lounging on the porch and on the dock. We rented bicycles to get to town. It's an easy and quiet ride on the beachfront bike trail. The staff was polite and attentive.

This place what just what we wanted. Right on the water, near enough to stores etc, but far enough away from them too. We had dog escorts who snoozed on our porch and friendly staff to help us book our excursions. We will absolutely be back again!

We loved this stay. We went to Belize for my husbands 70th birthday. Sandy's Secret was perfect. Even through there were only 2 of us, I wanted oceanfront and paid the extra for this two bedroom unit. It was worth every penny. Don was helpful and responsive in every way. The place itself is better than the photos suggest. Clean, all the kitchen amenities (bring your own spices if you like to cook as we do). I could not recommend it more highly.
