It worked for me and what I needed

Downstairs is very spacious

Room was very tight. Two bathroom and 1/2 bath for 5 room was tight at the times.

Short stay but sweet!!!

Easy check-in. I booked a few hours right before I went to this place. No one will greet you in front which is fine because it is self check-in. They will give you a code to get in the main door and your room via email. The bathroom is very clean and the strong force of the toilet flush is what I like. The room is very quiet. The internet is fast. Hmmm, i think I read somewhere in the guest list that it is a great idea if you want to rent the entire place for a wedding or any special occasion. There is backyard where you can enjoy the outdoor area. Unluckily , the parking in the neighborhood is a mess that you won’t be able to find side street parking. I didn’t know about the free parking in this property until I saw in my booking that there is one in the front and two in the back area. Downstairs, they have free coffee, bagel, cereals and some fruits to grab. There is also hot and cold water available from the dispenser. If you like to run or jog, there is a park and beach nearby you can go.

It is not close to the train station so you really have to walk going to the CTA Red Line. I don’t really mind walking but you can just take an uber especially at night.

Incredible deal in a nicely appointed dog-friendly home.

Amazing location, great parking, pet-friendly

Room #2 was quite warm during the summer months — only one AC vent plus one fan.

I most certainly did not enjoy my stay

The flour to make pie seemed to belong to someone else. I couldn't find the gold star on it. I don't think we should be told to make pie when we don't have the ingredients for it

I couldn't contact the owner throughout my stay. I sent an email to [email protected], called the designated number (+1 347-954-9091), and had to leave a voice-mail but still got no response from them. That was a very poor way to treat a client. All they cared about was my checking in and checking out in time. That was not a smart way of running a business. Apart from the owner not being responsive, the other occupants were noisy. The person in Room 1 seemed to be moving furniture around at different times and someone (seemed to be from the room at the other end of the hallway) was using the bathroom at around 5:00 am while playing loud music, thus preventing me from sleeping.

A great bargain to have a bedroom to sleep in, at a comfortable house.

Thankfully there was a bagel and some cream cheese:) I brought my own coffee, filters and half and half. Luckily there was sugar, too.

There was an odor in the bedroom that I slept in. Maybe the carpet:/ or the comforter? I've noticed that the dryer is always packed full of bedding, whenever I go down to do my small load of laundry...

Pleasant

The common areas were very nice and the spaces clean enough. The host provided us with few essential amenities: breakfast, shampoo and body wash, towels.

The rooms are a little small and when we met the host at breakfast, they did not seem extremely pleased to have guests in the kitchen. The house is slightly old and would benefit from some small maintenances.

Superb

This is a gem of a place. I didn’t mind the modest room. Downstairs lovely. Location excellent. Dog friendly. I’d stay again for sure!

Rooms are basic but clean. I didn’t mind at all but some might.

Lisa Marie's retreat

Not crowded; people are mostly polite; I was able to cook, with plenty of space to myself and watch TV. I appreciate the laundry room.

I thought the fridge would have the same stock like the last time I had stayed there with my daughter. There were no eggs, cream cheese, bagels, orange juice. Hopefully next time:)

It was adequate, inexpensive and very convenient to public transportation.

The room was a little musty and the window had nothing to keep it open, so it was not possible to air it out. It was carpeted which contributed to the mustiness. There was a closet, but not hanger rod nor hangers. There were a few hooks on the closet door. There were two shared bathrooms. Both were clean and well kept, had hand soap and shampoo and paper towels. There was also a shared kitchen which had some basic supplies including eggs and bananas.

Exceptional

Very very nice and comfortable home and facilities. Checkin was electronic, contactless and a breeze. Very close to Morse Red line metro station. Very pleased with my stay.

The availability for parking. The ease of checking in and out. The overall cleanliness and accessibility of necessities were all great.

There was no milk to go with breakfast cereal. Dog barking loudly. The loose charging outlet. People leaving toothbrush, small bath towel, and other stuff in the bathrooms. Small inconveniences.

Superb

The house is perfect; there were two, very kind, women in the house. My daughter came to spend time with me, which made me very happy. We felt like we were in our own house. I will reserve a bedroom again, next week... Thank you:)

I didn't know where to find extra blankets or comforters; I found one in the laundry room:)

Much better than I expected and definitely will be coming back for future experiences!

The bathrooms especially were superb. And the kitchen was so neat, I also loved that there was food and drinks left for us. It really went far. The bed was also very sizable. Bigger than I expected

The house was very squeaky which made it difficult to mind for other guests. The room and sheets also smelled a bit funky. But other than that everything was very nice!
