About this house rental
The Tallulah House is a family home that has been completely renovated. It features a large screened porch, large yard, fully furnished kitchen, central heat and air, covered parking, washer and dryer and beautiful oak floor. It is conveniently located to the town of Robbinsville, a short drive from Lake Santeetlah, the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and great fishing and hiking.
My wife (Sara) and I (Rick) are retired NC Public School employees after 30+ years with Graham County Schools. We have remodeled Sara's parents home over a two year period and are now making it available as a short time rental property. We are active in our community and church and enjoy spending time with family and our four grandchildren. We hope that you will enjoy staying at the Tallulah House.

The house and property were amazing and Rick and Sara were the best hosts ever!!! Any time I emailed or text, they returned a response within 10 minutes. The location of the property was excellent to tons of family day trip ideas but yet not directly in the middle of a busy location. Only a couple of minutes to Robbinsville for eating, groceries, gas stations, shops, etc. We would recommend this house and location to anyone looking in the area and will definitely return!!!

This property was one of the nicest VRBO properties I’ve stayed at. The property was clean and had all the amenities that one would need to enjoy a stay there. The host was wonderful and the communication was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I would like a nice quiet Place to visit

I booked this property for my husband and his 2 friends. They each rode their Harleys from Florida. This house was a great place to stay! It was close to the Tail of the Dragon, as well as the Cherohala Skyway. The house was perfect for what they needed! If we come back, we would certainly book this property again!

Rick and Sara definitely go above and beyond to see to the comfort and needs of their guests. The house was very clean and stocked with all necessities and more. I loved sitting on the screened porch each morning to have my coffee. We really enjoyed our visit and hope to return soon.

Three of us trailered our Harleys down to Robbinsville to ride all the great roads around the area and this place was a perfect place to stay. I've been to the Robbinsville area every year for the past 8 years, and this place was by far the cleanest I've been to. We only spent the morning and evenings here as we were out riding all day long. However Rick & Sara have everything there that you would need as if it were your own house. VRBO says there is a firepit which we would have liked to hang out by after a long day of riding, but we didn't see a fire pit anywhere. Communication with Rick & Sara was easy and they were quick to respond! I would recommend anyone wanting to stay in the area for riding, or hiking stay here.

I can say without equivocation that this was our best vacation home yet. The location was just perfect for our Harley tours. Tail of the Dragon, Cherahola Skyway, Moonshiner 28 and the Rattler were practically around the corner. The house is very spacious and fits perfectly into the picturesque surroundings. Inside the house, the most impressive feature is the remarkable cleanliness. In addition, the owners have really provided everything you would like to find in a vacation home. The communication with the owners was excellent before and during our stay. I can recommend this house without reservation and with emphasis. This location was indeed just what we were looking for. Slap dap in the middle of everything yet out in the middle of nowhere. Our plans were to visit Fontana damn, Bryson City, Murphy, Nantahala and Cherokee. This Tallulah house was in the middle of all of these. Plenty of room for my family and myself and very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this location for what ever getaway you may have planned. You will be pleasantly accomodated. this Place reminds me of my childhood in Ohio it was just plain beautiful what a nice place to stay and our hosts gave you everything you needed and then some I’m hoping we will come back someday the mountains were gorgeous the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean

Great home! Would stay again!
This home was a good location close to everywhere we wanted to go. Clean and nicely decorated. The paintings were my favorite!! If you are there take a few minutes to really look at these! Lovely! We spent a great deal of time in the screen porch enjoying the views of the blooming trees and hillside. Owners are very attentive and responded quickly. Will recommend to others and would stay again for sure. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Well-Appointed and Relaxing
We stayed here recently to visit family in the area and will plan to stay here every time we visit the area. I traveled with my husband, five-year-old, and 9-month-old. The property has so many “basic” things that you forget you need—night lights in rooms for littles, extra blankets and throws, books and games, you name it—the house has it. The hosts also make available many things (in addition to pots, pans, plates, etc.) you might have otherwise had to purchase (coffee, sugar, creamer, shampoo, aluminum foil, even hot chocolate and birthday candles!). We prepared all meals here and found the house close to town but in a quiet spot. There was a little stream by the house and our five year old loved playing beside it. The house has beautiful natural light throughout the day, no road noise, and an enclosed back patio perfect for enjoying morning coffee on the chaise lounger. So reasonably priced for all they offer. Stay here!

The house was very clean and recently remodeled. Very comfortable furnishings, with 3 separate bedrooms for individual privacy, and a screened deck patio for relaxing after a long day. Covered car port. Good location for serving as a hub for great motorcycle rides.

Could not have found a better place. Four of us from MN trailered motorcycles down. Best location for so many majestic rides or family things to do. The home is gorgeous. Wonderfully Relaxing
The property is wonderful as well as Rick and Sara. We rode from Wisconsin to take in the beautiful scenery of the blue ridge parkway, the smoky mountains and of course the tail of the dragon along with riding the beautiful winding roads. It was such pleasure to return to a very relaxing and beautiful home to unwind and relax..

Love This Place!
Rick and Sarah is the sweetest host you'll every meet. I had the opportunity to run into them personally when I arrived a little earlier than planned. They are the sweetest couple you'll ever meet! The house was very clean and organized. The amenities provide more than ample space to relax and enjoy, from the screened in porch, spacious backyard with the firepit, or even the from the front covered driveway! Thank you so much for everything, we plan to come back!

Beautiful mountain home!
We loved our stay for the weekend here! We pulled up to gorgeous pink and white blooms on the trees. The area is so secluded and away from all the craziness of other tourist areas, so this was a plus for us! The house was FULL of so many necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, even andys mints!!). They even left some bottled water for us! The water pressure was a bit low, but this was not a huge turn off for us since we were there for the views. Speaking of views, we loved sitting on the back porch watching the clouds go over the mountains in the distance. Just stunning!! The owners were so accommodating and had the best communication with us to make sure all needs were met. This home felt like a lot of love existed there, unlike some of the places we have rented before. Thank you for allowing us to use your home. We hope to return in the future!!

We had an amazing time at this home. Everything we needed was provided. It was close to town and central to many nearby attractions! The peaceful screened in back porch was amazing with a view of the mountains. We would most definitely stay here again.
