Bring your boat and ski (boats can be moored at the dock but no boat lift is available), or lounge by the water's edge and drink in the view of the Golden Cheeked-Warbler habitat directly across the lake. You will love taking advantage of the most peaceful stretch of Lake Austin. Mornings are not to be missed. Grab your coffee or tea and watch the morning fog pull back revealing a glass-like surface that mirrors the rolling hills above. Great house, beautiful location by the water. Great property for outdoor activities and the owner provides some great yard games and the yard to support them. Plus canoes, kayaks and paddle boards to take advantage the lake access.

We had a great weekend! The house and location are amazing. Very peaceful and everything went perfectly! I can't wait to stay here again!

This place was ideal for a girls trip to just relax on the lawn and float in the water, and laugh and play CDs on the stereo provided. Private spot too.

Perfect location for a relaxing vacation with our daughter and SIL. Close enough to city for a night out but honestly spent majority of our time on the beautiful lake. House is clean and very well equipped and property was perfect. The upper deck provided us a great spot to spend the warm days. Will definitely look to return next year.

We so enjoyed our time here. Such a beautiful peaceful spot on Lake Austin. The house was cozy and everything we needed for a great weekend stay! hope to be back next summer!

This was the perfect lake house for our water activity loving family. The boat slip was super accessible for sunrise and sunset ski runs. Paddle boarding and other water toys provided by the rental entertained our group all day. The kitchen was awesome for home cooked meals while we enjoyed listening to the WIDE selection of CD’s provided. Plenty of sleep options. Bathroom was very “Austin” and clean…and washer and dryer were clutch. The mountain view in the evenings from the lakeside deck was breathtaking. Looking at the calendar to book our next trip now!

This VRBO is right on the water and that is very nice. That is the only positive thing I can say. We were very disappointed with the unsanitary conditions. Upon arrival, immediately we could tell the place had not been properly cleaned. Or maybe that was just the usual standard of "clean". Nothing was fresh or clean smelling. The kitchen drawers and cabinets were crusted with food, with it running down the front of cabinets. The sheets were dirty and had hairs and crumbs. The pillows under the pillow covers had brown stains and made us feel sick to lay on. The couch itself smelled and had lots of debris and stains. We didn't feel comfortable even sitting on it. The ac vents are moldy and huge clods of hair stuck to the larger intake vent by the floor. The bathroom shower and toilet area smelled of urine and smoke. The floor was sticky so we always wore shoes. The sliding back door closes and the wooden dowel came down and got stuck, locking us out twice. But the worst part and the deal breaker for us was the pest problem. There were roaches of all sizes, inside and out. One ran over my son's foot while he was using the restroom. A man and woman couple entered the property several times to access their boat, leaving the gate open allowing our dog to escape. Myself and daughter got sick afterwards and I developed bronchitis. I spoke with the owner who argued with me then reluctantly refunded the cleaning fee. This place would take a month to get clean. Stay somewhere else!

We have stayed here twice now and both times had a great time. Lots to do on the water including paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing. Beautiful views of Lake Austin and family friendly accommodations.

This property is the quintessential lake house. Quaint, quiet, clean, and located on one of the most beautiful spots on Lake Austin. We had access to kayaks, paddleboards and canoes, and had a wonderful afternoon floating on the lilypad! The hottub was a great way to relax after a day of lake activities. David was an incredibly responsive host, and our every need was anticipated. We are grateful to have found this property. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the host family for sharing your beautiful property with us.

The deck on the lake is better than the pictures. The house was nice and had everything we needed for our stay, and David was very responsive and helpful when I had questions before we arrived. Would stay here again for sure. Thank you David!

So relaxing to sit out on the deck, watching the birds and boats. Great lake house - David the host thought of everything you might need. We’d love to come back someday.

We found the interior of the house to be very clean. The double shower was really nice. We enjoyed the outdoor space and my daughter and her friend used the kayaks. The information binder was helpful and much appreciated. We had one or two minor issues and the owner/manager was very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

So, when we travel we look for houses on water. We love water and views! This house had it all! We could open the blinds in the morning and see the water and the 'mountains/hills', it was awesome! The house had the game bags, life jackets of many sizes, paddles, 2 canoes, 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards, a wood fireplace (which we used nightly) and CD'S! We did canoe as a family and that was a lot of fun. We were there the end of December, so we did not swim, but my husband fished and caught a couple! This would be an awesome summer place to relax in the water and just float! It is about 13 minutes away from anything, but it's a quick, beautiful drive. We saw a ton of deer the week we were there. I'd recommend this place, I did send the owner a couple of suggestions, but would also suggest adding beach towels so that you have something separate than the bath towels. Thanks for a great week!

The house, setting/view and location was perfect for a family of all adult kids to get to and enjoy. We had rain the first two days which did not hold us back. Instead, it created a different vibe that was very cozy. We still used the kayaks and paddleboards and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Overall a great trip.

Honestly for the cost and fees it wasn’t worth it. Hot tub was filthy and we could not use it. For the price we could have stayed at a very nice hotel with incredible views of Austin.

Our family had a great time at this property on the lake. It was our 2nd visit. The dock deck is the perfect spot to hang out and enjoy the view. We played yard games, then cooled off in the lake. Our Golden Retriever was in dog heaven! We all loved the unique shower too.

Fun at water‘s edge
My husband and I stayed at this property for a month and we had a wonderful time. Austin Lake (if you‘re not from Austin you would describe this as a river) is warm enough to swim in but cool enough to refresh and this house is waterfront property—seated on a slightly sloping grassy lot. The house has a nice porch overlooking the lot and water and the boat house has a rooftop deck. The yard is mostly shaded, which is great in the heat of the summer. The house is smallish, but there were only two of us so it was no problem. The bathroom is modern with great water pressure. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is very serviceable—we cooked in at least half of the nights we were there. David is a very responsive host. Given the waterfront nature of the house, it does have that waterfront smell to it, but there‘s an air purifier that knocks out most of that smell. The airconditioner is strong, albeit fairly loud. We used the kayaks, paddle boards and canoes—a great value. I also had a spa day at the Lake Travis Spa and Resort. It was very relaxing. Finally, our 1-year old puppy LOVED the place—swimming, running around on the lawn, paddle boarding and canoeing. All in all, it was a great vacation.

The property was awesome, great location. We mainly used it to sleep as we went out all day but it was a great place. Clean and had everything we needed. Wished there was more outside lights but not a deal breaker. Would go back for sure.

The property was perfect for my 13 year old son and his 3 friends to play outside. They enjoyed the large shaded yard, hammock, and rope swing. They loved the paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and floaty toys. They spent the bulk of their time playing in the water. We brought our fishing gear and they were able to fish. All in all, it was a great spot and perfect for us.

The lake house was superb! The view from the sofa, deck, hot tub, swing, hammock, and boat dock are all stunning! It was entertaining to watch people pass by in their boats, kayaks, and paddle boards too.
I truly felt connected with nature when out on the kayak. Amazing feeling!!
The house was comfortable with a sectional sofa and large kitchen table. Both were perfect places to gather. The house had a small fan that we put outside to blow away some of those dusky mosquitoes.
All beds/mattresses were comfortable. We all slept very well. The shower was large with a dreamy skylight. The bathroom vanity was large so we could all leave our toiletries out.
At night the lights around the deck made the paths clear but we’re not so bright that it distracted from the stars. The house has a small lantern to carry out too.
I will definitely try to rent this house again. One of my favorite trips!
