Perfect when you just need time to recharge, escape

It was a great place to recharge, I needed a night to escape, and it delivered. My first vibe, as I arrived late afternoon, was a reminder of Montain Lake Hotel (Dirty Dancing )

No personal dislikes, if it's a quiet place to rest the night or recharge, this is great if you want activities, services, facilities, menu options ect this isn't the place

Nice quite location

Bad then good. Initial room booked was full of mould. I'm allergic couldn't stay there and subsequently returned the key, left message for property contact. Was never contacted. Fortunately the young fellow where the key was collected/returned was able to provide an alternate room and was very helpful and understanding. 2nd room was very nice and very well appointed.

Communication from property manager was poor, they are lucky it was made up by genuine staff at the pub.

Ok stay... Needs to fix some things

The rooms were really beautifully done up. Location was nice too.

We had no idea how to check in. Felt like a bit of a wild goose chase trying to figure it out. The keypad from one of the rooms were temperamental. We tried over and over again before it actually worked. We had come home at 1130 from a wedding and was stuck outside for 20 mins trying to get in the room.

The check in procedure could have been more organised.............by providing clearer instructions on which room we had, and thus recognise the key pad entry............plus have given us the right access code.............the hotel staff where we were directed to pick up the key were most gracious in trying to sort out the problem.........and the fellow from the bottle shop next door to the pub was very considerate in coming back to the room to identify which room was ours and how the key pad worked...........which we could not see as in the afternoon it was in direct sunlight and therefore the numbers were indistinct It would have been good to have a full set of cutlery, glasses and something in which to wash up the dirty dishes.........rather than the bathroom vanity sink The property is starting to look a little tired and could do with some tidy up maintenance and a lick of paint ........externally

Peaceful, relaxing, rustic. Creswick is a great little town. Definitely worth the visit.

Very nice location, private, relaxing environment, comfortable room. Walking distance to town. Nice walk to nearby lake. Lots of Eastern Gray Kangaroos around. Heating/cooling unit worked well.

Lack of hanging space for anything - coats, hats, clothes. Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. Nowhere to put bags, these end up on the seating or the small coffee area. The room has sufficient space to provide an area for clothing and bags, so this needs attention. There is a problem with the septic and the smell was unpleasant, with water flowing across the driveway. There was only green tea and coffee (no black tea) provided. Clearly, the place is a work in progress, and I'm sure it will only improve with time.

Arrival was unsettling but once sorted we settled in for a great weekend. Returning in Sept.

Location is great. Close to town center and still in rural country. Other major towns just a short drive away. Native fauna excellent.

Two nights stay needs new towels on second day. Extra blanket for this time of year would be good too.

The perfect spot for a peaceful weekend get away.

I loved the location among the trees with all the wildlife around. The room was bright and the heater did an exceptional job on the cold grey days of my stay. The microwave was a bonus that allowed me to make simple meals meaning I didn't need to eat out everyday.

Nothing the accommodation people could have done anything about.

No place to cook a meal, floors were freezing, even with RM’s on, walkway was treacherous, Mats moved and should be nailed down, v v slippy. a microwave is not a kitchenette,

what happened to customer service? left outside for an hour in the rain.

great location, big hot shower. super close to Main Street with views of kangaroos

property wasn’t ready to check into. was told it would be 15-20mins but I had to wait outside in the rain for over an hour. because it hasn’t been cleaned, it also wasn’t pre-heated so cold and dirty. called owner who said they’d find a resolution and she never called me back. first impressions count. then noticed broken handle, screws exposed on sink surround, hole in wall etc etc. was there for a cycling event for my birthday and I would’ve rather stayed at home than be that cold and wet on the Friday.

The location was good, nice and quiet surrounded by nature.

I didn’t realise it was an ex school camp so facilities were pretty basic. No washing up liquid for dishes. One mug between two people. So, yeah, needs a bit of love.

Quiet country stay.

Great location. The room was lovely. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

There needed to be better lighting in the parking area as we got there at night but couldn't see the name of our villa without getting out of the car and searching with a torch. The timer on the outside lights needed to be longer as well.

Traffic through city terrible but location sorted that :) ! Sad part my wife became ill in night so we had to leave next morning so our valuation was on first impressions saw kangaroos as we leaving We will be back to finish our stay! Thank You

Loved the stay. Was relaxing and just what we were after! Will return!

Shower was good, bed was comfortable, the surroundings to the property were so relaxing and peaceful. Was good to have somewhere quiet (no kids, loud/noisy guests). Staff quick to fix the wifi too! Very helpful. Also loved being able to go for walks around near the property!

Lack of bench space in the bathroom means we had to keep our bathroom items out on the kitchen bench. Maybe a little side table or something could be handy. And a little chopping board to be able to cut food on.

Cute and cosy country stay

Cute and cosy rooms. Really well equipped. The heater worked really well and was nice and warm when we arrived in very cold weather. Was great to have a microwave and plates etc.

Was quite difficult to locate our room especially in the rain - the signs were hard to find and read. Could do with a map on the info sheet to show where each room is.

Good value for long stay

Located in bushland, very clean, had everything I needed, beautiful nature, spacious, big bathroom, great water pressure with shower, comfortable bed, air conditioner/heater, big bed, nice views, the price was the cheapest in the area for a long stay, IGA close by but need a car, the staff at the pub who did the checking in process were friendly and helpful and apologized for not answering my calls but we're very busy and explained to me that phone number was out of service.

I didn't know where to check in. None of my calls or texts were responded to. Some rooms you have to climb stairs to get to. No daily towel changes you have to text to have that done. I would have liked an email explaining the check in process prior to arriving, and a back up phone number, also I could hear my neighbours showering and talking, didn't like gravel road, hard to find
