A perfect stay at Donna Filomena in Salerno

We had the pleasure of staying at Donna Filomena for three nights, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The property is beautifully maintained, with a charming and authentic atmosphere that perfectly reflects the spirit of Salerno. The accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The attention to detail was evident, from the cozy decor to the thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The location was ideal—peaceful yet conveniently close to the heart of Salerno. We enjoyed easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and the stunning Amalfi Coast. Above all, the hospitality at Donna Filomena was outstanding. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, offering helpful tips and recommendations that made our visit even more special. Very convenient, safe and relaxing

We liked the ambiance- certainly ‘charming’, a bit quirky. The location was very convenient, although the taxi found No. 26 hard to find when we arrived (it was already nighttime). It felt very safe, with concierge, lift lock and, after hours, door locks. Two balconies giving views and fresh air

Espectacularmente recomendable

La casa es más linda de lo que muestran las fotos. Es una casa en donde han cuidado cada detalle para hacerte sentir en casa. Muy limpia y la localidad perfecta. Filomena tuvo un trato especial con nosotras, nos ayudó hasta en una emergencia medica que tuve con mi mama. Llamó a la ambulancia y hasta nos acompañó al hospital. Quedamos sumamente agradecidas.

Sehr schön ausgestattet, sehr gute Lage - allerdings sehr laut, da an Hauptstraße, Fenster aber sehr gut schallisoliert. Man kann in Salerno von dort aus alles zu Fuß erreichen. Sehr schön eingerichet

Big, clean, beautiful apartment In central location.

Big, clean spacious apartment! Perfect location. Two beautiful balconies to sit on and have coffee or a drink! Everything you needed was there (except for a toaster, but could use oven). Washing machine was a great surprise as we didn’t think there was one; came in very handy.

Despite being in a great location, it is on a main road and is extremely loud at night, especially the motorcycles. Only starts to quiet down around 5am, to start up again by 8am. No mirrors in the bedrooms :( This would be very helpful. The bedrooms are huge and there is more than enough room to add a wall mirror/or add one inside the wardrobes.

Great experience and wonderful gate to the Amalfi Coast.

Location is great. Apartment is large and comfortable. 2 bedrooms providing privacy; each with a queen size bed (hard to find). All needed amenities available. Feels very inviting. Host is very accommodating and welcoming.

Bedrooms need a mirror. Washing machine did not always work. Seal on shower door needs replacement - water on the floor after shower being used.

Lovely apartment with a view of the sea in the heart of Italian life.

Very central. Ideal location. Very safe. Great spots to eat, shop, drink. The old city was much prettier than the new. The hosts were lovely.

Bin in bathroom was full, dishwasher full of dirty dishes but this felt like an oversight as the rest of the apartment was cleaned to a high standard.

Superb

This is a lovely, comfortable 2 bed 1 bathroom apartment on the 3rd floor in a great location near to fabulous shops, bars, seafront, old town. Very clean. We loved the decor..traditional with some modern twists. The apartment has everything you need. There are two little balconies which are great for watching the world go by. It is on a busy street but it'sfine, they have double glazing and noise cancelling shutters.

There was nothing not to like.

Beautifully decorated flat in the very centre of Salerno. Fantastic location, and very comfortable and well equipped. The host has been helpful and good at communication; she let us check out late while we waited for our plane. Would definitely recommend.

The street below can get quite noisy with car horns and scooters at times. While this is not a problem for most people and it's not as bad with the windows closed, it might not be ideal if you're a light sleeper.

Great place, perfect location, good value for money.

We really loved the flat. Very clean, very nice. Great location... smack in the middle of everything: minutes from the sea front, from the main corso (shopping alley and promenade), minutes away from the train station, bus. 10 mins to ferry terminal. The old town again, within a few minutes walk on the main corso. A really special place, two balconies, lots of restaurants, terraces and bars around... shopping very very close. The apartment has a lot of character, as you can easily see from the pictures.

The only two things I would add as probably necessary in a place like this: 1. A washing machine (we stayed for 10 days and felt the need for one. I would really suggest they get one. 2. Mirrors. Very surprisingly, there are no mirrors in the house, apart from the one in the bathroom. There should be a big mirror in every bedroom and one in the hallway. If you want to get out for a nice dinner, you need one. These would me the only downside remarks from us.

Very good

The apartment came with almost everything you need for one week stay. It was clean. Wifi worked perfectly. It was about 10 minutes walk from both Salerno central and Duomo station. There were many bars, cafes, shops and interesting sights nearby. The interior design was wonderfully quarky and I liked it.

The apartment was facing a busy road so we heard a lot of noise from traffic and occasional people screaming (especially on the weekend). But this is somewhat associated with being in a convenient location. It didn't bother us too much but if you are looking for a quiet holiday then maybe this place is not for you...
