Lovely and spacious place in a quiet part of town.

Very nice apartment in a quiet part of town. It was very comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the air conditioner since it was warm, and we were happy to have the washing machine since we have been traveling for 10 days. We really liked it and if we come back, we will definitely consider staying there again.

The only problem we had is that we had German sim cards in our phone, which did not work if we were not connected to Wifi. So once we arrived, we could not communicate with the person waiting to let us in. (We were also looking for a sign that said Maison Malherbe, but instead the sign said Maison Hugenot, which made us think we were in the wrong place). I walked all around the area looking for a sign or way to get in, and eventually asked a taxi driver to call. Once he did that, we were able to get in.

Sehr schöne, gut ausgestattete Unterkunft in toller Lage

Für uns war die Lage sehr angenehm, weil der Ort bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen ist, die Unterkunft aber ruhig am Ortsrand liegt. Der zweite, leider etwas kleine Balkon, hat eine schöne Aussicht auf das Monument und die umliegenden Berge. Der größere Balkon ist gut mit Lounge-Möbeln, zwei bequemen Sonnenliegen und einem gemauerten Grill ausgestattet (Esstisch nur im Innenbereich). Entgegen der Buchungsbeschreibung stand uns ein kostenloser PKW-Stellplatz im gesicherten Hofbereich zur Verfügung.

Der große Balkon liegt leider mit Blickrichtung direkt auf das Haus gegenüber. Wir hatten auf eine schöne Aussicht gehofft, es sind aber nur einzelne Bergspitzen über anderen Häusern zu sehen. Die Unterkunft liegt in der 1 Etage ohne Aufzug. Gepäck muss über die Treppe nach oben tragen.

Fantastic apartment in central Franschoek

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it didn’t disappoint. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, bars, shops and the wine tram. It has gated private parking. The apartment is spacious and clean and everything you need is provided. Sunny balcony with sofas and sun loungers. Great place to stay.

Wonderful self catering apartment to stay in

The apartment is perfectly located to have access to Franschoek shops and sights

The noise the dining room chairs make for neighbours below. A carpet or chair leg cushioning would help to avoid the sound of scraping and moving of chairs I think

Just fantastic!

Perfect and secure location with good parking facility. A couple of walking-minutes to several restaurants. Balcony very convenient. The apartment offers all you may need. Megan gave us the keys and explained about the apartment…She is such a lovely lady and easy to contact for any questions. Thank you so much, Megan! We had a splendid time here!

Great location, beautifully furnished with all amenities needed to be comfortable.

Not a deal breaker but the underfloor heating didn’t work and there seemed to be an ant problem but we fixed the latter.

A great place for a rainy as well as a sunny day.

The apartment has a wonderful terrace with a nice view to the mountains, which we could enjoy on the second day after a rainy first day. The interior is exceptionally well setup, designed and maintained, we felt instantly at home. Megan took great care of us and also made the effort to forward clothing we had forgotten in the cupboard. Note: Inform the owner in case you're arriving with more than one car, just to make sure you know where to park. The street outside offers many parking spots.

Very good

Megan is the best! Always there if you need help or in case of questions. Location is perfect. Yes, it is close to mainroad so you do hear the traffic during the day, but no problem at night.

Pump of the pool of appartement of the neighbour complex was running all day. But I think this was because the timer clock was not working properly because of loadshedding. Not something Megan or the owner of the appartement could do about it. So not a complaint.

Excellent property; conveniently positioned- will definitely book again!

It was extremely hot and with constant loadshedding a problem to sleep with mosquitoes as the windows had to be opened- a tin of mosquito repellent would have been a welcomed relief! Otherwise no complaints!

Great location and gorgeous home 🏡

Beautiful location and beautiful space. Megan was incredibly helpful and polite, right from the booking process upon arrival. The apartment is in the center so you can park the car and walk everywhere. We enjoyed it!

The neighbors are a bit territorial and tried to be unnecessary, but this was resolved.

Stunning Winelands accommodation

This is a beautiful large 2 bedroom apartment across from the Huguenot monument on the main street. The apartment is larger than it looks on photos and has a lovely balcony. It is close to supermarkets, restaurants and wine estates. It is well equipped with everything you are likely to need.

The apartment can get musty if the windows and doors are kept closed, but this clears if the windows are open. One thing that would have been helpful would have been some cooking oil, as it is difficult to buy this in small volumes as a traveller. When I booked, bank transfers were the only accepted form of payment, but I believe they now accept credit cards.

Franschhoek gem.

Within walking distance of Franschhoek shops along main Street. Very comfortable accommodation. Wonderful view of mountains to the back.

A few little inconveniences such as the lounge lamp not being plugged in and no adapter plug - which it needed. No towels in the second bedroom. The traffic is noticable if you have the doors / windows open or are out on the balconies - but that's the price you pay for being so close to town.

Well worth it.

The location was excellent. The place was very nice, neat, clean and tidy.

Only one small issue was that as the floors were tiled and as we were there in winter and as the underfloor heating was not working the floors where very cold. A few mats or carpets in the bedrooms would have been appreciated. Also with load shedding a gas heater would have helped when there was no pwer.

Our stay was happy, safe, relaxing and a lot of fun. Megan was totally awesome! We’re definitely coming back!

The location was convenient and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The flat was clean, spacious, had all the necessary utensils and gadgets and equipment. Megan was totally amazing! Thank you, Megan.
