About this house rental
The luxurious 5,800 sf home has 4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and can sleep up to 8 adults. Enjoy relaxing by the beautiful pool after your day of wine tasting. Ask about a 30% discount for a 30 day rental in October.
The main house is a two story modern farm house style with 4 bedrooms (Master BR is the only bedroom on the second floor, has a walk-in shower, a bath tub, a huge closet and a sitting area/library with a couch (with a pull out double bed) and chairs), 4 bathrooms (all en-suite), living room, a formal dinning area (seating for 10), great kitchen design with several sitting areas, large counter, breakfast table (seating for 6) and top of the line appliances, a large laundry room overlooking the garden, all hardwood floors throughout and is beautifully furnished.
The house and outside is equipped with full internet and wireless service, a printer, a fully equipped kitchen, large pantry, bar with a wine storage refrigerator, a 75” LED TV in the great room/kitchen, a 50" LED TV in the master bedroom along with Sonos throughout the house and outside. A 3,500 sq. ft. barn has a new gym (Peloton, Lifemaster treadmill, elliptical, Universal station, recumbent bike, dumbbells, TRX, outside deck for yoga, 50” LED TV), a golf net, a ping-pong table, a dart board and a corn toss setup. There are also four Trek bikes for biking in the immediate area.
There is a large walk around front porch area with a small table (four chairs) which is great for morning coffee as the sun rises and the birds are chirping. In the back is a large deck with a cooking area (large Weber grill), dining table (seating for 12), extensive comfortable seating, large umbrellas with easy access to the great room/kitchen. Additionally, on the other side of the pool there are two beautiful arbors each with an overhead fan, Restoration Hardware furniture (including a card table) and lights. Behind the arbors in the vineyard there is a trellis with two large dining tables (16 seats), lights around the trellis, for al fresco dining. Adjacent to the new pool is a large lawn leading to a raised garden.
The salt water swimming pool has been completely renovated with beautiful limestone surrounding the pool and leading to the two arbors and the trellis. The pool has an in pool hot tub and new solar cover. The pool can be heated in the winter (there will be an additional charge if the entire pool is heated in the winter). There is an outside shower close to the pool. A Finnish sauna has recently been installed across from the outside shower.
The property landscaping has been substantially upgraded over the past few years with the following: 23-45 year old olive trees were imported (many lining the new, longer “chip seal” entrance and courtyard to the property), added pistache and evergreen oak trees, 2 acres of vineyard in the front and back, extensive lavender, "little ollies", roses and other plantings added throughout the property. Walking paths have been added thru the vineyard. Spectacular outside lighting has been added throughout the property.
Property has a 22KW generator (Generac) with a dedicated 500 gallon propane tank.
For golfers tee times can be arranged at the outstanding Sonoma Golf Club located 4 minutes from the property. Sonoma Golf Club was the host of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship; the prestigious season ending tournament of the PGA Champions Tour between 2003-2009.

This is truly an amazing home in the heart of Sonoma. We were less than a 10 minute drive from Sonoma square, yet the house location felt so tranquil. Large bedrooms and bathrooms, super clean, a gorgeous pool, and everything you need for an amazing stay. We had the most wonderful dinner under their vine-covered terrace. My only recommendation for the property would be to upgrade the 2 smaller beds to king sized, as this house is certainly fit for a king!!

First let me just say that this vacation home was spectacular!! EVERYTHING was perfect and I do mean everything. From the plentiful serverware and wineglasses for our at home dinners, to the fully equipped gym, to the beautifully appointed rooms this home is spot on. It’s hard to put the backyard into words and the pictures don’t do it justice. Let me just say we cancelled a dinner reservation and had to go buy groceries so that we could stay in and BBQ our very first evening there. Exceeded every expectation. We will be back again!!

This property is the base for the dream life you want to live. Everything you need to have an enjoyable vacation has been provided. The house and grounds are immaculate. The property manager left directions for enjoying the amenities. Overall, the property is a 5 out of 5.
Only one suggestion: the king bed on the main floor of the house could be made more comfortable. It feels like 2 twin beds pushed together. There is a jump in the middle and both sides are soft and sagging a bit.
Everything else was amazing.

There were 8 of us that stayed at the Carr Farm. We went for a family vacation to visit wineries in the valley.
This place is amazing! The pictures don’t do it justice. The owner, David, is SO easy to work with from the beginning when you book it until the end! All the amenities make it so enjoyable you don’t ever want to leave the house.
We all agreed we wouldn’t hesitate in booking there again!

Beautiful property with amazing outdoor accommodations. The owner was very helpful in recommending a number of options from dining to wineries. Our favorite night included a dinner at the house with a private chef, could not have been better!

This was our absolute favorite place we have stayed (and we travel quite a bit!) Everything was fresh, clean, spaciousand well appointed. There was more than enough of anything we needed for a large group. The backyard is an oasis. We loved picking a lemon from the lemon tree, sitting in the jacuzzi, detoxing (before retoxing) in the sauna, and taking our daily walk to the gym or around the neighborhood. David Carr was extremely helpful, attentive and added so many thoughtful details that made my wife's 50th birthday trip the best birthday of her life. The entire group agreed they did not want to leave and will certainly be back. Thank you so much, David for all the details and assistance you gave.

Incredible property, incredible hosts and incredible stay. The property is gorgeous and the hosts have stocked it with everything you want, need and didn't know you wanted and needed. The house and amenities were clean and in impeccable condition. The pool was outstanding, as was the outdoor space. The house and kitchen were comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our family enjoyed the property so much, we wound up cancelling dinners and plans so we could spend more time in the home. We loved the "smart" innovations in the house, controlled by an iPad and did I mention how amazing and clean everything was? Perfect for entertaining or just relaxing. The hosts were incredibly nice and responsive. I received emails about the check-in process well in advance of our stay and check-in/check-out were seamless and easy. The hosts responded to my few questions promptly and were lovely to communicate with. My family and I had a wonderful stay. If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to book this property, do it now!

Had the perfect friends get together for my husbands 50th birthday. The house is just as beautiful in person as it was in the listing. The home is fully stocked with all the essentials. The owner was very responsive to any inquiries. They also gave wonderful suggestions for wineries and restaurants. We had a private chef dinner under the pergola and the setting was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this home to others.

My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better retreat for ourselves as part of our wedding in Sonoma. The house was impeccable and a true oasis for us and our friends and family during our stay. It was such a treat to wake up and have coffee on the patio, walk in the grapevines, sit in the sauna, and then dive into the pool - and that was just the morning itinerary! Everything in the house was there for us - the kitchen had everything we needed to entertain - the sitting and dining rooms were warm and inviting - the property was lush and full of life - and every little detail (down to the bucket of flip flops by the pool) was well thought out and planned. We are excited to come back and stay again soon!

David’s house is perfect for family or a group vacation. All 4 beds have an attached bath, which is fantastic for group trips. The pictures are very accurate, the place is gorgeous and the pool/backyard is picturesque. Communication with David and his team were very easy, and the location is nice. 5 star place. The only small thing was the neighbors rooster, it is awake quite early most mornings :).

Very deserving of a 5 star rating. Such a beautiful house, and the best appointed and provisioned that we have ever rented. The landscaped grounds were just as impressive, giving us the feeling of a private resort with a great pool, gym, multiple sitting areas, and much more. We also appreciated the many high-tech touches including Sonos audio (indoor and outdoor) and the iPad-controlled hot tub, with strong Wi-Fi everywhere. David, the owner, was a very gracious host and communicative. Very highly recommended and we can't wait to go back.

The pictures can't capture the beauty and comfort of this exquisite home. This was a special treat for all of us. The only problem is you don't want to leave the house to do any local exploring. We ate all evening meals outside. Beautiful sunsets and clear night skies. This was a week we will never forget, perfect!

We loved everything about our stay! Very clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. My husband and I brought our 2 year old daughter, and both sets of our parents stayed for several nights. We had a wonderful stay at this fabulous home. As other reviews state, it is actually better in person than the photos! Each room and bathroom was well appointed, and the kitchen more than accommodated our family and full Thanksgiving meal prep. We loved the two seating areas in the family room -- it's a great space! We all loved the outside areas and even were able to use the pool in November! The owners added many special touches like decorations for the table, and flowers in the house. It was a very special Thanksgiving for us! Many thanks to the Carr's!

This house and property is breathtaking. It compares to a 5 star resort. The owners walk you through a FaceTime call to help familiarize you with the home as well as answers any questions. We loved having a private chef come in and cook for us so we could enjoy dining in our private vineyard. The gym in the barn was a great start to the day followed by a dip in the hot tub. Very close to the town and amazing wine tasting and restaurants. We can’t wait to go back. No one wanted to leave.

We stayed at this home last month and enjoyed this beautiful home. The location is quiet and easy for accessing wineries. They truly go above and beyond to anticipate your needs and create a lovely vacation experience. Every corner of the house is an peaceful respite and the grounds are equally as enjoyable. In short, we had the most amazing time at this property. It was the best family vacation we took and we are so happy to have found this place. We definitely plan to come back again!Our two young children (1 and 3.5 yrs old) loved playing in the heated pool and feeding the neighbor's goats, chickens and ponies. The house itself was pristine and extremely well-stocked on amenities. And the owners were so incredibly helpful. We stayed up here during the wildfires and the owners quickly got us 4 air purifiers and were very responsive to any questions we had for them. This was truly a rare gem - would highly recommend!
