About this house rental
Magical memories start with this open rustic floor plan offering; 10 BR/9 BA/3 half BA/movie theater/game room. The spacious 3 level rustic lodge setting is located on the protected private waters of Davis Creek offering year around, “Emerald” water front! The lodge is built with a gentle slopping walk to the lake. Gather around the camp fire and connect with those bonding stories of yesterday for some good old fashion fun! Make a wish before jumping off the two-level, double Decker, covered, boat dock, into Emerald magical green waters. This 5500 sq foot home plus 2400 sq foot covered deck can accommodate 36 people.

We were excited for a week here, but the pictures didn't do this place justice! We had a great time. The house is awesome! The location is very quiet and peaceful. The lake was clean and refreshing! Well remember this vacation for a long time. Everyone wanted to come again next year!

Overall, it was a good house for us. We had 16 adults ranging from 67 to 26 and 9 children under 7yrs. The drive in - we had 4 sedans (2 Civics, 1 Elantra, and 1 Jetta) they all scraped on the way in and out on 1 particular hill. Some deep "gullies" on a steep uphill part made that particular hill a little daunting plus it as wet/rainy. The 2 CRVs, Outback, & 2 Odysseys made it fine.
The house itself is very nice with the 2 indoor sitting areas, 3 large decks with seating, & theater room. Just an FYI, you make the beds when you get there. The bedrooms/bathrooms are as pictured; many blinds didn't seem to work. 1 bathroom fan didn't work. There are no doors on any of the stairs.
The kitchen was fairly well stocked: 1 24qt? pot, "regular sized" pots, several frying pans of various sizes. There were not very many serving bowls. 2 13x9 size casserole dishes and a couple small ones.
Only real complaint is that some silverware must have gone missing at some point because we were always washing forks - I think the total must have been around 25 forks.
I agree with previous commenters who have children - It might be good at least on the lowest deck door if there was a higher lock or child lock of some sort. Even if there was a gate to go down the stairs to the water (we brought our own gate and managed to secure it for that area, but it took some ingenuity). With all the doors having lever handles, it is easy for any child who is tall enough to open the outside doors.

This is our second stay at this beautiful property. It is always very clean and has every necessity that you can think of. We love the view of the lake and the expansive porches for sitting and relaxing. Eric is very quick to respond to any questions that we might have.

Our organization spent 4 days at the Emerald View Lodge and had a wonderful time! The accommodations were excellent, rooms were super comfortable and spacious, the kitchen layout was very functional, there were plenty of dishes, cookware and kitchen appliances, grills for all our necessities. The location is very peaceful and conducive for a relaxing stay! Thank you so much!!

We had a wonderful stay with 4 generations and 21 family members post Christmas. The home is setup perfectly for a large group-- great bedrooms and connected bathrooms, large eating and family room areas, beautiful decks, and a huge kitchen! The theater room is awesome and the fire pit area was great. I can't think of a thing missing with this house. The driveway is a little challenging and definitely not advised to tackle at night. I hope we have the chance to come back and enjoy this place again!

Wonderful house with lots of common areas to spread out in. With Eric's help, we rented a pontoon boat so were able to get a good feel about the size of the lake. It was in October, so we had most of the lake to ourselves.

Couldn't of been more perfect! The house was beautiful and perfect for the amount in our group. 18 adults 5 kids between 1-8.
Be prepared for a lot of steps in the house and to the dock. But then you can eat and drink more lol.
We rented a pontoon boat for 2 day's from a company on the lake. When we arrived at the house the boat was already there.

Everything was as listed, clean, and in working order. The house was well supplied with kitchen appliances, utensils and linens. There was plenty of space for us to gather in large and small groups. We're looking forward to staying at Emerald View again.

We had a group of 20 for a work retreat! The house provided everything that we need and more. It was so nice that everyone had their own bedroom and bath room. We loved that the rooms were numbered because you could get lost! Great communication with the owner throughout the the process. We would definitely book again.

This property was built to handle all 36 people it says it can accommodate. All bedrooms had an attached bathroom which worked great for our group. The open first floor plan gave us the ability to all be together but still feel like we had so much space. The hill coming into the property can look a little scary but the place is beyond worth the drive down the gravel road. With it being a three story home be ready to get your steps in! We did have a couple of people that steps aren’t the best for but two of the bedrooms are right off the first floor so they were able to still enjoy the stay without all the flights up and down. The kitchen was fully stocked to handle the crowd and there were plenty of coffee makers. The kids enjoyed watching movies and sitting in the hot tub. Would LOVE to come back in the summer and enjoy the outside of the home more. Host were so responsive and if needed were just a message away. Everyone left saying how wonderful the weekend was. It might be hard to please a crowd but this place did it!

We had such a great time at the Emerald View. The house was perfect for 29. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We even made Gumbo in the oversized pots and pans. Perfect kitchen.
The weather was cold so we mainly stayed inside but when the sun came out we enjoyed the large decks.
Only complaints: the bottom floor was cold and parking was rough.
Overall-this house was great for our family.

My group and I chose this property for our couples retreat and we're so glad we did. The road going to the home was a little scary, but it was worth it. This 3 level home was absolutely amazing and was able to accommodate our large group quite comfortably. The kitchen/dining area was huge and well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The bedrooms were spacious and we enjoyed spending time on the deck and using the fire pit. We had plenty of room to enjoy our festivities. If we had any questions the host responded quickly. This is a 3 level home, so be prepared to go up and down a lot of stairs. Don't hesitate to book this home. You will not be disappointed

This is definitely a great big house. It's very spacious and the layout is awesome. 10 Bedrooms with 12 bathrooms is not what I'm used to, but it was a treat. It provided all family members with their own space. There's a large kitchen and family room that is unheard of and this floor plan was well thought out. 👏 The only big issue I had was the unexpected steep hill that leads to the residence. Otherwise, it's a great homey spot.

Beautiful House on a lake, lol nice you get here you won’t want to leave! (Really, the roads to get there are a little precarious!)
We had plenary of room for all members of our family to have enough privacy, main floor was the biggest gathering place (we love to be close to the kitchen!). Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware, kitchen utensils, pots/pans and backing dishes and mixer and numerous coffee makers.
Only downside was neither dishwasher worked, I think filters were clogged, and arcade machine that the boys so wanted to play was not working. Also, without streaming not able to use iPads for entertainment either.
Fire pit was fun with some workout wood chopping! We didn’t catch any fish, however occasionally saw a couple jump! Even though it was cold, a couple brave ones used the cool side into the lake!! Hot tub un was a hit with the younger crowd!
We really had a very nice time, and the house is beautiful, clean and very nice for a large group!! We would definitely recommend!!!

My husband and I and our families had a blast over a four day weekend at the Emerald View Lodge. We loved the spacious rooms, large kitchen, balconies, and the game room and movie theater room in the basement. Of course, our favorite thing was jumping into the lake from the dock. Going down the steps to the dock can be a little daunting for those with mobility issues, just a heads up. It can also be a confusing drive to get to the house so make sure to follow the directions provided instead of relying on google maps. Overall, we had a great time and highly recommend a weekend getaway here!

This property was clean and updated.
Good size. Few small issues to be aware of. There was not enough toilet paper or hand soaps. There were fruit flies in the house. One of the dishwashers and ovens didn’t work, we were not notified until couple days before check in. Trash rules are somewhat complicated and if you don’t do it correct you will be charged per trash bag. The dryer was broken. No flexibility on check-in/out times. Stairs were broken on one of the bunk beds upon arrival.

This is a great property for a large group. It is an easy walk to the dock and very close to Powell Valley Resort an Flat Hollow Marina
Lots of refrigerators and the children loved the movie theater. A bit of trouble with one dishwasher and one stove but there’s two of everything. Well equipped.

If you take a group of family and friends here you will not be disappointed. It has much to offer, larger common areas and the dock and water are amazing. No boats or skis zooming by. plenty of fish to catch and things to do

We had a wonderful time at the Emerald View Lodge! We enjoyed the quiet cove for all day floating and the access to the lake for wake boarding. Our large group took advantage of the various common living areas, large dining rooms - inside and out, barbeque grills, fire pit, and theatre room. We found the large kitchen to be clean and well supplied with dishes, utensils, kitchen towels and appliances and the hosts provided bedroom and bathroom linens. This house easily accommodated our large group and we recommend this property and look forward to renting this house again.
