The apartment is non-smoking. It is only allowed to smoke in the garden. It is possible to reserve an extra bed in the living room.
Lockable space for your bikes is available.
The Steinhuder Meer is the largest lake in Lower Saxony. It is ideal for cyclists, hikers or water sports (sailing, surfing, kitesurfing). But also for those who just want to relax and enjoy nature. Boat rentals for sailing, electric, pedal or rowing boats are available on site. Also bicycles can be rented.

A holiday in a holiday apartment on the Steinhuder Meer is a pleasure for young and old, for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. The Steinhuder Meer lies approx. 30 km west of Hanover and is with 32 square kilometers the largest lake of Lower Saxony, in the heart of the eponymous nature park with 310 square kilometers. The most important resorts on the Steinhuder Meer are Mardorf, Steinhude, Hagenburg and Rehburg-Loccum. The landscape is diverse with dunes, bogs, heathland, wet meadows, deciduous and coniferous forests and reed zones. Enjoy water, pure nature, fresh air and tranquility during your stay at Ferienhaus am Steinhuder Meer.

The Steinhuder Meer offers numerous leisure activities on land and on land. Water sports fans will love boating, sailing, kitesurfing and windsurfing here. Boat rental stations as well as sailing and windsurfing schools around the Steinhuder Meer offer first-class equipment and qualified instruction. Especially for kitesurfing the Steinhuder Meer has become a popular center. During the season more than 90 sailing regattas take place on the Steinhuder Meer. The Steinhuder Meer is also known for the so-called "emigrants" - sailboats over 100 years old, which only exist here. Swimming and swimming in the lake is allowed free and makes fun in healthy bog water. Center is located in the south near Steinhude, artificial, 35,000 square meters large island in the beach with a sandy beach and lawns. On the northern shore in Mardorf lures the guarded beach "white dune". Nearby is also the surf beach. Guests who prefer to be transported by boat rather than letting their hand on the boat, are in good hands on a trip on a passenger ship or the emigrants. Golfers will find two golf courses in Rehburg-Loccum and Mardorf. A nature park information center is located in the listed Scheunenviertel in Steinhude. Around the lake vacationers find a variety of cycling, hiking and riding trails through beautiful landscapes. Cyclists can cycle around the Steinhuder Meer on 32 km, partly along the water, partly through idyllic nature. And if you are still bored in your apartment on the Steinhuder Meer, have fun in the high ropes climbing garden in Mardorf, playing tennis, horse riding, mini golf, fishing or in the numerous indoor and outdoor pools in the region. In bad weather, of course, offers a trip to the metropolis of Hanover, which is just a stone's throw away.

By train you can travel from Hannover Hbf by regional express or by S-Bahn in about 20 minutes to Wunstorf or Neustadt am Rübenberge and from there by bus 710/711 or 715 to Steinhude. In summer there is an additional hourly cycle bus service (line 835) from Wunstdorf to Mardorf, Steinhude or Hagenburg.
