Lots of great things about this property and we had a really nice 3 day stay. Truthfully I wish I could give it 4.5 stars but that's not an option. 4 stars is too low and the 2 star review is just crazy. It's not supposed to be a 5 star hotel, it's a cabin in the mountains! +'s The view is as amazing as described/better in person than can be captured in pictures The hot tub is large and clean with a perfect view The large deck with seating and that view was also perfect As others have mentioned, the kitchen is very well equipped The location is very private which we loved We had several questions and the owner was prompt and friendly with his responses Having a garage to park in was really nice! (we've made many trips to the mountains and never had that option at a cabin before) Bed comfort is so subjective based on people's preferences. I liked it, my husband didn't love it. Definitely not something people should let deter them from staying here, in my opinion. -'s The road going up to the cabin was in terrible shape in several places so it was a rough ride. I didn't see many people commenting on it in reviews so I'm wondering if recent heavy rains might have caused some of the issues. Still not a reason not to stay in this cabin but be prepared that it will take quite a while to get up and down that 1.7 mile road. And I definitely wouldn't take any vehicles that are remotely close to the ground The couch isn't very comfortable Overall, a great place to stay!

This stay was for our honeymoon we just had better expectations for the price we paid for a week. Pros : beautiful views / hot tub / great kitchen / easy check in / whole house to yourselves with privacy Cons: poor quality shower head / poor quality towels / new shower liner is needed / no actual couch like in photos but instead an uncomfortable futon and a twin bed like couch/ uncomfortable bed / not enough cleaning products for laundry and dishwasher left / the round chair in the living room smells like cat urine / no Keurig. The pool table is up against a wall in the garage with stuff around it so we couldn’t use it either and the water tasted chemically so we also had bought gallons of water to use as well. We tried to reach out to the owner via text because we didn’t get good cell service and we received no reply. We ended up leaving a day early because we could not sleep well in the bed and we even tried sleeping in the living room. I think if this was a short weekend trip it would have been more okay for us but we were here a whole week for our honeymoon and we expected better quality for the price. I’m normally not one for leaving reviews but I felt this review might be helpful to someone else planning a vacation.

We loved our stay. The property was exactly as described in the listing and the directions provided by the host were very accurate. The sunrise and sunset views were breathtaking. The property has one of the most well equipped kitchen of any property we have visited. Our two reactive pups enjoyed the peace and quiet. If you’re looking for a secluded getaway with great views and some peace & quiet… then this is the place you want to book. Also, the boat was great at communication and always responded promptly. 10/10 would highly recommend!

My partner and I booked a long weekend here and it was the perfect place to enjoy quality time together. The view is so incredible, even better in the hot tub! And the hosts were so responsive and proactive, so helpful with every question we had. They even helped us navigate the bumpy road when it was covered in snow!

I'll start by saying this was my first time ever staying in the mountains. Not my husbands first rodeo, but most definitely mine and I was nervous. We arrived late in the evening, and despite unfamiliar terrority, mountain road, and freezing rain, we made it up relatively easily. We pulled into a wrong driveway because I didn't follow the instructions Howard provided and simply trusted our GPS. Howard immediately answered our phone call and our mistake was easily and patiently resolved. The road to the cabin is maintained and good. Upon arrival, we were blown away. Beautiful cabin, beautiful layout, and secure but easy entrance. Binoculars are provided. We did bring our own, but were happy to find another set. The view is astonishing, for a new mountain viewer or a veteran. My husband was quite thrilled to discover even chilled beer mugs were provided! We did bring our two daughters (9 & 14) and both girls were quite content with us to not even worry about venturing out. They didn't want to leave. We brought our two St Bernard/Poodle mix male large dogs. Space can be an issue with their size, but the mountain, deck, and interior space was plenty for them to enjoy the trip right along with us. Howard is a wonderful host to work with and we were so grateful for this beautiful home he has built. We will definitely be returning to enjoy this escape. Thank you very much sir!
