Beautiful villa in Cantalice (Rieti 5 km) in the Lazio region with great views over the countryside. The house is spread over two floors. Simple and functional furnishings. Large equipped outdoor area with old pine trees and elms, with barbecue, ideal for relaxing and eating outdoors, table tennis. Beautiful swimming pool overlooking the valley. The pilgrimage route of St Francis of Assisi and St Benedict of Norcia runs alongside the house. 5 km from Rieti with shops of all kinds. 20 km from the Appennine mountains of Monte Terminillo. 45 km from Terni, 60 km from LAquila, 85 km from Todi, 95 km from Rome, 100 km from Viterbo. 26 km from the picturesque lake of Piediluco with the possibility of renting boats and rafting to the Marmore waterfall, the highest in Europe.

The week we spent at the property was wonderful. The games area was so much fun as we spent most evenings playing games and enjoying the garden. I would say the property is a little more rough around the edges than the listing shows but it didn't matter too much. There were a few broken sunbeds and a few broken chairs but we found some extras to use. Some cushions for the chairs and outdoor furniture would really make a difference as the plastic was quite hard. The pool was refreshing but could do with and update as some of the tiles were a little loose but overall it was great. We were told that the gardener would come early each morning but sometimes he was there in the middle of the day. Arnaldo the owner was very helpful and did pop in once or twice without letting me know but it was just to do some watering. I suppose it would have been good to know he was coming. We would definitely come back to stay here. The view from the house overlooks the mountains and is really beautiful. It's surrounded by countryside and was a very relaxing holiday. Thank you Arnaldo
