About this cabin rental
At the edge of a wildflower meadow with mountain views, this beautifully furnished glamping tent has two queen beds, lamps, Oriental rug and private deck.
Enjoy wood-fired pizza and our new all natural wood hot tub. Get fresh eggs from our henhouse. 40 acres of meadows, woods, pond, streams and trails. Nightly bonfires, star gazing, a nearby lake and rafting in the Hudson River below. Golf cart service to your tent.
We have four glamping tents, Glamp Richard, Glamp Suzanne, Glamp Bernice and Glamp Thomas which are spaciously set apart for privacy yet an easy walk to the Bath House and the Lodge where each glamping tent has its own kitchenette.
The tents have a “fly” over them so they stay remarkably cool during the day and completely waterproof. At night, zip up the canvas windows and doors, and stay cozy under handmade feather quilts.
The new Bath House has a women’s side with two toilets, a shower and double vanity with glass vessel sinks; ditto for the men’s side. In the nearby Lodge, there is also a lovely new bathroom with an old-fashion claw foot tub where you can enjoy a deep bath with lavender salts. We provide nice towels and soap.
In the Lodge, there are individual kitchenettes for each of our four glamping tents. It has a sink, one burner cooktop, coffee maker, compact refrigerator, dishes, cutting board, glasses, utensils, napkins and basics of salt, pepper, sugar. Bring your own coffee and cream. There are open shelves for you to store your groceries.
Outside are several charcoal grills and a gas grill. We provide charcoal and lighter fluid.
We spent the fall and winter of 2019 building an amazing all natural cedar hot tub. Located on one of the most beautiful spots of our land, our new Japanese wood hot tub is a delightful treat for our guests. Built within a small post and beam temple-like structure with gorgeous views of the mountains beyond and wildflowers below, our spa tub is a wonderful way to relax during your stay. $25 for an hour’s retreat of happiness.
Most nights in the summer, we offer wood fired pizza. Here’s how it works. We make and provide the dough, and guests bring their own toppings. We fire up the wood-fired pizza in the late afternoon. By six, the wood fire has died down and the oven is about 800 degrees. Starting around six o’clock and ending about eight, guests come to the pizza pavilion with their toppings and we help them cook their pizzas. Because the oven is so hot, the pizzas cook in about three minutes. Lots of fun! Oh, most toppings should be sautéed in advance since the cooking time in the oven is so short. (Requested donation of $8 / $5 for children to cover costs of firewood, dough, etc).
At dusk, we get the bonfire going so guests can relax in hand-built Adirondack chairs to watch the fire and the stars. There is no “light pollution” so it is an amazing experience to see thousands of stars, night clouds, moonscapes.
Enjoy getting your breakfast eggs from the henhouse. Our flock of chickens and ducks are fun to watch as they free range all over the property. The ducklings enjoy it when there is fresh water run into their little swimming pool --- they are so joyous when they’re in water. The ducks are sweet but shy away from people (oh no! humans!). Unlike the chickens that wander all day and come back together to the coop only to sleep, the ducks are co-dependent and stick together all the time; if one duck is separated, they all quack until they get back together. So yes, country life can be noisy with the chickens cackling and the ducks quacking!
And of course there is Sammy Dog, a lab/shepherd mix, who bounds around the property, visiting all our guests, laying down on the porch and steps waiting for people to come home. Be careful coming down the driveway because he sometimes leaps unexpectedly in front of cars all goofy and happy. He can come in and even sleep over if you want (just send us a text message so we know where he is).
Our cabins are set up for visiting dogs, but unfortunately we cannot host dogs in the tents.
The lake is three miles down the winding road …13th Lake it is called and it is just beautiful. Totally natural and quiet with no sign of civilization on its shores. The Hudson River is at the bottom of our mountain; clear beautiful water; you go tubing or rafting with the various rafting companies located right nearby.
The town of North Creek is five miles away off the main Route 28 road but it’s easy to miss so look for the 3 or 4 signs that mark the entrance to “town”. North Creek is a scenic little town with some great restaurants, a grocery store, liquor store, some shopping places and a scenic train called the Saratoga/North Creek Railroad which takes folks in antique train cars along the Hudson River.
Another great experience is nearby Garnet Hill Lodge, an historic lodge offering lunches and dinners … beautiful property, amazing views, great food. It’s located right up the road in North River. They rent mountain bikes and have all kinds of walking trails.
Lots and lots more to do … check our online Guide Book for more suggestions!
So .... Enjoy amazing mountain day views and glorious stargazing by night ... this might be the most special vacation you’ve ever had! Quiet and tranquil … safely and privately located at the edge of our Hobby Farm where you can enjoy a beautiful tent, ducks and chickens, and sweet lab dog.
If you're looking for additional space, we have other cottages on the property as well ... Authentic Adirondack Bird Camp which has two bedrooms, Farmstand Guest House. Camp Hudsonview and our newest Camp TwoSome (each with one bedroom), all of which are listed on this site.

Step away and unplug from everyday life by glamping at this location. The glamping tents are large and have wooden floors. There is a screened-in porch with Adirondack chairs and an open back deck area. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. There is also a bug screen inside the tent to reduce the number of insects. There is electricity along with an electric fan and heater. There are many things to see and do within a short drive. Take advantage of the wood-fired pizzas made by the owners. Very yummy!! Each tent is assigned a fully stocked kitchenette with utensils, small refrigerator and a hot plate. Gas and charcoal grills are also available. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our time and will return.

We had a great time, arrived on a friday, quick activity down the road on a rail bike, then leslie's ( owner) notable woodfired homemade pizza. Smores around a perfect communal campfire and a good night in a tent cabin. The ammenities fit our every need, the kitchen and bath houses made this true " glamping".

Leslie and Emeline make the ADK Hobby Farm like visiting family friends. The landscape and gardens are so inviting and the lodging is comfortable! It NEVER felt like I was in a tent, even though it was a cold rainy night.
Leslie's Friday night pizza is a MUST! Plus, when we left, she loaded my car with lovely peppers and flowers on the house. She was just such an amazing host! Thank you! Thank you for such a great time!

Each fathers day my I take my son, now 11 on a vacation. This "Glamping" experience was a great way to get outdoors, experience the Adirondack region and have a camping experience without the hassle of planning and packing all the gear and supplies needed for camping.
The host were great to work with, kind and lovely people. The site is like a "homesteading" farm complete with chickens and a huge garden. It was very peaceful, convenient, clean ans beyond our expectations for convenience.
We loved pizza night!
Highly recommend!
We went white water rafting and Rail biking which were both less than 20 minute drive. Lots of hiking opportunities in the area! 30 min drive to Adirondack experience and an hour drive is the Wild Center.
Tip:There is on site Wifi at the kitchenette barn and it was great/ worked very well, but your tent will likely not have cell service.

Our third annual visit. I think we’ve officially started a tradition. Leslie and Emaline are great hosts. The glamping experience is charming, we always meet new people, and we look forward to seeing Sammy and Bella (dogs).

We stayed here for a wedding at a venue a few miles away.
This was an incredible place to stay. Comfortable little cabins/tents. Clean kitchenette and bathroom. The host has a few dogs that ran around and joined us on our little porch in the mornings.
Unfortunately, we were not able to spend much time on the property as we had a full schedule, so we missed pizza nights and sitting next to the camp fires.
We are very much looking forward to going up to visit again when we have more time. Even just sitting outside our tent was so relaxing.
My girlfriend and I love the wildflowers, vegetable gardens, and star gazing. This was absolutely our ideal weekend getaway. Can’t wait to go back.

My daughter Drew and I spent our 2nd visit here on a little hiking and sight seeing getaway. It is such a fun place. You can have as much privacy as you want or you can make new friends around the wood fired pizza house and the bonfire. We fell asleep to the hoot of an owl, woke around 4:30 to the howls of coyotes. It was as much of a blast as our first visit last summer and we have already decided to return again in 2023. Thanks Leslie and family. Also loved the addition of spunky little Bella as well as Sammy the dog who we met last year. Bella visited with us in our tent, curled around my feet at the bonfire, and also slept on the floor of our kitchen while we ate breakfast

Beautiful property!!
We completely loved our stay!! Amazing to get away from it all and really disconnect from the busy world!! The hand made pizzas from their wood fire pizza house were excellent and the Japanese Spa was what we needed for an amazing get away for the two of us!

An amazing night of glamping
We had the best fall trip at Leslie's farm. She was super accommodating, and the canvas tent was beautiful, spacious, clean and with warm enough bedding to keep us toasty on a chilly fall night. The bonfire at night was incredible- we met some great people, and the amount of stars you can see is truly amazing. The kitchen, lodge, and bathrooms are all really nice, and next time we hope to have time to enjoy some pizza from their wood oven. Tons of stuff to do nearby as well. Highly recommend staying here.

For sleeping in the Adirondacks, under the stars, it was like a 5 star hotel. There was no bug issue, there was lighting and power. No cell or internet service which is normal for Adirondacks, however you could connect with hotspot in your dining building.. All in all great get away from the world experience to relax, read etc.

Serene setting and relaxing atmosphere
We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a glamping adventure. Leslie was very welcoming and offered several suggestions around the area. We enjoyed making our own pizzas in the camp brick oven and meeting the other guests. When the sun went down, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing a sky full of stars shining so brightly!! The beds were comfortable for a camping experience and extremely clean. If you have never been glamping, go see see Leslie and enjoy the Adirondacks! The only downfall to the area is there is little to no cell service.

A perfect getaway from everyday life
Just a lovely spot to stay. Leslie and her family are welcoming and available for anything you may need, but leave you to experience your stay as you wish. The glamping tent was big and comfortable. The wood stove was a nice addition and came in handy on the nights it dipped down into the 30's.
Bathrooms and showers were clean and cute, as was the lodge building where the kitchen and refrigerators for each tent were housed.
The place is on a farm with chickens and ducks around, and their dog is adorable and friendly.
We'll definitely be coming back.

Fun times! Great getaway!
Leslie was a very great host and we enjoyed seeing the farm and the conversation! She rented us some kayaks and took them down to 13th Lake for us, which was a peaceful and quiet spot.
First time glamping and as someone that usually does back country camping, this was a nice treat and way better than staying in a hotel room. Room was comfortable and the bonfire in the evening was a nice touch.
