Come experience a great family home on the west end of Galveston Island. Blue Heron House is a beautifully decorated, fully-furnished 3 bedroom/2 bath home with approximately 1500 square feet. In addition, it has over 600 square feet of deck with 2 levels which provides a shaded dining area and plenty of room for sunbathing, sunset watching, and star gazing.

The Blue Heron House is located in the community of Terramar Beach, on the west end of Galveston Island. The house features ocean views, and is a 5 minute walk from the beach. Renters have access to the community pool as well as the boat launch and fishing pier, just 4 blocks from the house.

Blue Heron House sleeps 10 comfortably, and includes the following amenities:

• 3 bedrooms: 1 king, 1 queen, 1 full, and 2 twins beds as well as 1 queen futon in the TV area.
• 2 large updated baths with full tub/shower.
• Beautifully decorated with hardwood floors, as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
• The open comfortable floor plan includes a living room with TV. area, a kitchen with a breakfast area (which seats 5- 6), and a large dining room (which seats 8-10).
• Extra large double tiered deck with a shaded dining area as well as a crow's nest for sunbathing or getting away from it all.
• Downstairs includes a shaded wooded deck floor for more entertaining and barbequing.
• There is a convenient outdoor shower for washing off the sand and salt when you get back from the beach.
• You have the use of a full size washer and dryer if needed.
• Access to a community pool, boat launch, and fishing pier with night lighting.
• Xfinity comcast TV with many movie channels
• Broadband internet with wi/fi
• All bed linens are provided

The property was as advertised and very spacious. Well furnished and had everything we needed. The weather was crummy so we got to spend way more time inside than we planned and didn’t get to the pool but house was homey and comfy.

My family and I come to Galveston every summer - it’s usually my sisters and I, our parents, and our younger children. We have stayed at many houses over the years, but this one has been our favorite. Plenty of seating in both the living area and the kitchen. All the appliances we needed were there. The rooms were all comfortable and clean. AC worked perfectly and great wifi! The location to the beach is awesome - a 1 minute drive straight to the beach access point. We also loved that the community pool was close and it was big and nice! We will definitely be back to this property.

House and neighborhood was nice, it was not listed that the neighborhood pool was closed on Tuesdays, it stormed the last day, which was unfortunate in being able to do anything. Overall nice quiet place.

We enjoyed our time at the beach bungalow and appreciate all the efforts made to make it feel like home away from home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat, and relax. We really loved the porch area and beach view. The beach house is in a nice neighborhood and is extremely close to the beach. Plenty of space for our kids and grandkids. Kitchen is very well stocked with nice dishes and coffee makers and everything we needed. Would definitely stay at this property again.

This was our second year in a row, staying at the blue heron. We just love the location, the house has plenty of dinning seating, plenty of living room seating. We had our wedding this trip on the beach and had tons of family and friends in and out for the wedding preparations and did not feel crowded. This place is just magical and me and my now husband will be using it for years to come to celebrate our anniversary where it all began ❣️

My husband and I are hospitality professionals. After a very busy summer at work we needed to get away somewhere with salt water and a beach. This house had the perfect location for just that. The house had enough room to spread out and yet to gather together. The decks had amazing views of the sunrise and the sunset. More than enough linens and kitchen supplies. The host was quick to respond to communications. All in all a great get away!

We make the trip to Galveston every year for national dance competition. Traveling with a large group makes it hard to find a place for all of us. We had plenty of room, quick access to the beach and access to the pool was a nice option as well. Owner was quick to respond to all my questions.

Grandparents, kids and grandkids stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed Galveston. The entire house was perfect for us! The kitchen was well stocked, the house was very clean, all rooms were cool (A/C) except for the master bedroom which got direct afternoon sun. We will stay here again when we come with the grands for vacation. Thanks for a wonderul place to stay.

This house was perfect for our family get away! We had 9 total staying. 4 adults, 1 teen, 1 ten year old, and 3 seven year olds. All nine of us were able to sleep comfortably. And the living room is very spacious! I enjoyed having two tables to eat at. The outside areas are beautiful and comfortable! Only wish mosquitoes weren’t so bad in the evening. This place was very clean and stocked with everything we needed! I brought our pillows and our own towels, but I know now that I won’t need to next time. They have plenty! This is our third beach house rental, and by far our favorite! We will definitely book here again.

All ten (and our little pooch) in our party enjoyed our stay at this rental in Terramar Beach. The kitchen is very well stocked and there is plenty of seating for dining and lounging for large groups. It was an easy walk to the beach or to watch the sunsets over the bay. We really liked the quietness away from the busier part of the island. The house is decorated in a very beachy theme and probably our only issue was finding space for our stuff around all the decor. If you have curious littles just keep in mind there are a lot of breakables. Otherwise it’s a wonderful place to stay and we would love to visit again!

It had plenty of blankets, sheets, towels and all the pots, pans and dishes you will need. Decks were spacious enough for the whole family to sit out and enjoy the view. Mosquitoes were bad and huge, I think this was due to the grass on the empty lots next door needing to be cut badly. On the upper decks, they weren't bad.
