About this cottage rental
Semi-detached house (if you are in front, left part, with glass door) of an old Ticino stone house in an exclusive location near Locarno, quiet and well developed. Here you will find old Ticinese charm that is so hard to find in the area, yet still able to relax in a well-kept and relaxed atmosphere. Since the house is on the hillside, you should not shy away from stairs. All rooms are south-facing with views of Lake Maggiore and the mountains opposite. The nearly four hundred year old house is renovated, furnished in style and can be centrally heated by a stove. The kitchen leads directly onto the south-facing terrace with views as far as Cannobio. The bedrooms and bathroom are accessible from the back of the house. The bathroom is equipped with high quality and electrically heated. In each bedroom there is a double bed (200 x 180 cm) with two mattresses (200 x 90 cm each, two blankets each with a standard size of 200 x 135 cm). Above the garage there is another terrace where you can admire the panorama in the evening for a long time in the sunshine. The spacious garden is maintained regularly, so that you are surrounded from March by colorful flowers. Behind the house you can retire on a large lawn. In just a few minutes you are in the center of Brione with shops and nice restaurants. It takes about 10 minutes by car or 30 minutes to walk to Locarno. The nearest bus stop is about 200 meters from the house. The picturesque valleys of Ticino can be reached quickly by car. There are countless hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. In spring you can enjoy the camellia and magnolia bloom at a time when it is still gray and cold in the north. In summer, a beach holiday at the Lido in Locarno / Ascona or at the many pools of the rivers next to the extensive cultural offer (https://www.ascona-locarno.com/de/). Autumn is often warm for a long summer, so you can ignore the winter and the cold for a while on walks or while bathing.

We had a a great week at the lake. The house was amazing with a stunning view, just like on a postcard. All convience in the house were super and it was verry clean. We did a lot of walking, swimming and visit several villages. Within 15 minutes we weten in Italy and visit a nice market. We defently would like to come back

Ein Ort zum Abschalten und Entspannen
Das altehrwürdige Haus ist ein Ort zum Abschalten und Entspannen. Wir waren schon öfters hier und jedes Mal wenn wir kommen, ist etwas am Haus oder an der Einrichtung vorgenommen worden, was stets mit Liebe zum Detail und mit viel Geschmack auf das historische Gebäude abgestimmt ist und zum Wohlfühlen beiträgt.
Die Aussicht vom Haus aus ist traumhaft - man muss nur dasitzen und schauen - schon kann man den Alltag vergessen und entspannen.
Die Küchenausstattung läßt nichts vermissen, Grundnahrungsmittel sind immer vorhanden und man kann hier gut auch die Zeit bei Regenwetter verbringen. Die Schlafzimmer sind gemütlich und die Betten hervorragend rückenfreundlich. Das Bad ist modern gestaltet.
Alles ist sauber und gepflegt und wirkt sehr einladend.
Direkt vom Haus aus kann man tolle Wanderungen mit unterschiedlichen Schwierigkeitsgraden unternehmen.
Wir kommen immer gerne wieder an diesen wunderschönen Ort.

Traumhafter Blick über den Lago Maggiore
Lage und Aussicht der Ferienwohnung haben uns überzeugt, wir haben in der Woche jeden morgen auf der Terrasse gefrühstückt und abends mit einem Glas Wein die Aussicht genossen. Die Wohnung ist ideal als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der Umgebung und mit den öffentlichen Bussen ist man schnell in Minusio, Locarno oder Ascona. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist gut, es wurde nichts vermisst und auch der Gang ums Haus um Schlafzimmer und Bad zu erreichen stellt kein Problem dar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin hat reibungslos funktioniert. Wir waren sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal hier.

Genialer Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Genießen
Seit vielen Jahren endlich mal wieder in Brione in der Casa Vecchia gewesen. Das Haus ist zu einem wahren Schmuckstück geworden, alles da, aber nichts überflüssiges. Alles Top gepflegt, wir fingen sofort an unsere Woche zu genießen.
Das nächste mal dauert nicht mehr so lange, wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder.

Naturverbundes Rustico mit traumhaften Ausblick
Ein liebevoll sanft renoviertes Rustico. Der Ausblick ein absoluter Traum. Aus Schweizer Sicht: fast ein bisschen Alphütten-Feeling: Zimmer nicht miteinander verbunden, Küche unten, Zimmer und WC hinter dem Haus durch Steintreppen zu erreichen. Man darf was Insekten, Spinnen etc betrifft, nicht heikel sein. Diese sind gerne mal im Bad, in den Zimmern vorzufinden (da sehr naturnah). Sehr unkomplizierte und liebevoller Kontakt mit der Besitzerin.
Bei schlechtem Wetter wäre es evtl. zu viert etwas eng. Ich würde es eher nicht für kleine Kinder empfehlen (relativ steile Steintreppen etc). Da es zwei aneinandergebaute Rustici sind, ist der direkte und relativ enge Kontakt mit den MieterInnen des anderen Hauses unvermeidlich.
Ein sehr schönes, naturverbundenes, einfaches Haus, mit einem traumhaften Ausblick, den man halt bezahlen muss.

Tolle Lage über dem See
Zu dritt haben wir während des Locarno Film Festivals eine Woche in diesem schönen alten Rustico verbracht. Die ruhige Lage und der Blick über den See sind grandios. Aber auch als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung ist das Haus gut geeignet. Locarno, Ascona und andere Städte am Lago Maggiore sind schnell erreichbar, aber auch das Verzasca- und das Maggiatal mit schönen Wanderwegen und Bademöglichkeiten. Spektakulär etwa die aus einem Bond-Film bekannte Staumauer am Lago di Vogorno, die nur wenige Kilometer entfernt ist. Allerdings: Ein Auto ist für solche Exkursionen wie auch für den Weg nach Locarno sicher empfehlenswert. Das Haus selbst ist stilvoll eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Wer allerdings den üblichen Fuhrpark von Unterhaltungselektronik (Smart-TV etc.) erwartet, wird enttäuscht sein. In der Wohnküche gibt es lediglich ein DAB-Radio (Radio Swiss Jazz kann ich zum Kochen sehr empfehlen). Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war freundlich und zuvorkommend – als uns ein paar ordentliche Gewitter heimsuchten, nahm sie Kontakt auf und wies auf den Kamin hin, den wir selbstverständlich nutzen könnten (was allerdings nicht nötig war). Wir haben die Woche in Brione und die Filmabende auf der Piazza Grande sehr genossen.

Liebevoll renoviertes Rustico
Wir haben zwei tolle Wochen in dem schönen Haus verbracht. Die Aussicht auf den See ist gigantisch! Das Wetter war spektakulär und man konnte es von dort gut beobachten. Alles ist schön, schlicht und stilvoll eingerichtet. Alles ist wie beschrieben vorhanden. Die freundliche, hilfsbereite Vermieterin hat immer sehr schnell geantwortet und uns geholfen.
Wir können das Haus sehr weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Tolle Unterkunft
Die Unterkunft mit mehreren Aussensitzplätzen bietet eine fantastische Aussicht über den Lago Maggiore und ist ideal zum Entspannen unter Palmen! Die Wohnlage ist ruhig und dennoch ist die nächste Bäckerei in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar.

Wohnung und Umgebung des Casa Vecchia sind sehr gepflegt, geschmackvoll und ansprechend. Die Aussicht über den See ist grandios und wurde von den blühenden Tulpen noch abgerundet. In der abendlichen Kühle hat das Cheminéefeuer für Wärme und heimelige Stimmung gesorgt. Auch der Kontakt zu Frau Freiburg war sehr freundlich und angenehm. Ein rundum empfehlenswerter, schöner Ort.

Ferien wie „über den Wolken“!
Wir haben die Aussicht, die Ruhe und die Gemütlichkeit in den alten Gemäuern und auf der Terrasse sehr genossen. Im Häusschen war alles vorhanden, was man für den täglichen Gebrauch benötigt. Einfach perfekt. Wir fühlten uns wie „über den Wolken“ und konnten unsere Seelen baumeln lassen.
Es war sicher nicht das Letzte Mal, dass wir an diesem wunderschönen Ort waren......

Das Rustico ist oberhalb von Minusio gelegen. Die Anfahrt geht über ein paar Serpentinen, ist bei dieser Lage aber zu erwarten :-).

Wunderbarer Ort für einen Urlaub zwischen See und Bergen!
Wir haben uns zu viert in dieser Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt und besonders genossen, dass wir vom Haus aus viele Ausflüge direkt zu Fuß oder mit dem Bus starten konnten. nach langen und anstrengenden Bergtouren war es besonders schön, abends nochmal kurz im Lago schwimmen zu gehen.
Im Haus selbst ist alles sehr schön, geschmackvoll und praktisch eingerichtet.
Das doch recht nahe Zusammensein mit den Nachbarn hat auch wunderbar geklappt und wir haben manche guten Ausflugstipps von ihnen bekommen.

Sehr schönes uraltes Haus in traumhafter Lage. Lediglich die Anfahrt war etwas mühsam, man wird dafür aber mit einem herrlichen Blick auf den Lago Maggiore entschädigt.

Gepflegtes historisches Ferienhaus in Panoramalage
Bei der Ausstattung wurde an alles gedacht (über die Fliegenklatsche bis zur Salatschleuder), so dass gleich ein ungetrübtes Urlaubsgefühl aufkommen kann. Auch bzgl. der Sauberkeit und der Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin gab es keinen Grund zur Klage.
Mann muss sich aber bewusst sein, dass man in der kühlen Nebensaison den Kamin gut mit dem vorhandenen Brennholz füttern muss, um eine angenehme Küchen- und Schlafraumtemperatur zu gewährleisten, da es ansonsten keine Heizung gibt und das Haus schnell auskühlt. Man sollte auch in der Lage sein, mit dem Beil Spreisel zum Anschüren zu spalten. Das dürfte aber nach der Lektüre der Hausbeschreibung niemand überraschen.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt trotz der auch für diese Jahreszeit kühlen und zeitweise nassen Witterung sehr genossen und können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
Hinweis für die Vermieterin: Hilfreich wäre ein Hinweis, wo das Beil zu finden und beim Verlassen wieder zu deponieren ist, außerdem ein Hackstock. Auch die Regelung bzgl. der Kurabgabe sollte überdacht werden. Es gibt einen Widerspruch zwischen Vertrag und Buchungsbestätigung, in welcher Währung und welcher effektiver Höhe der Betrag zu deponieren ist. Ihn bar auf dem Küchentisch zu hinterlassen, setzt viel Vertrauen in die Servicefirma und die Mieter voraus. Im Zweifelsfall ist kein Nachweis möglich. Was spricht gegen eine Einbeziehung in die Mietgebühr?
