Panguitch information:
Located in the valley between the Markagunt and Pausaugunt Plateaus, Panguitch Utah is home to some of the most majestic scenery on earth. A Native American Paiute word meaning “Big Fish,” Panquitch is undoubtedly named for the famously plentiful lake in the nearby mountains, hosting some of the largest rainbow trout in the state and ideal for year-round fishing.
In springtime, Panquitch hosts an Annual Quilt Walk Festival where local quilters display both hand-crafted and machine embroidered works of art, while local performers re-enact the story of Quilt Walk and food lovers highlight their culinary creativity with quintessential pioneer cuisine.
As the gentle warmth of spring fades and the lazy days of summer make their yearly entrance into the town of Panquitch, the city pulses with excitement as pilots launch a sky-full of hot air balloons into the heavens for the annual Panquitch Valley Balloon Rally. As night falls, spectators in the Historic Downtown area encounter the adventurous spirit of the town’s past, mixed in the magic of glowing hot air balloons as they parade up and down Main and Center Streets, like enormous planets waiting to be explored in the starlit sky.
Rodeos, concerts, horse racing, sports tournaments, conventions, and equestrian competitions are hosted at the Canyon Country Complex, the city’s new event center. This state of the art, Triple C Arena is located just off scenic highway 89.
July 24th is one of the town’s biggest celebrations. As the rest of the state pays tribute to the settling of the pioneers in Utah with an annual parade and fireworks, Panquitch commemorates this historic “homecoming” with reunions (family and class), a community breakfast, pit barbecue dinner, races, games, rodeo, and a city dance.
Summer isn’t the only time to enjoy activities in Panguitch. A New Year’s Eve party is held every year at the indoor Triple C Arena. The whole town comes out to celebrate and enjoy food, games and live entertainment. Ice fishermen can ring in the new year by participating in the Panguitch Lake “Big Fish” Derby. Beginning the first Saturday in January they vie for cash and other prizes by catching the largest fish.
For those desiring a more personal tribute to the early settlers of Panquitch, a historic cemetery awaits visitors just two miles east of the town on Highway 89. This hauntingly beautiful burial ground hosts tombstones dated as early as 1870.

It was wonderful. It is nice to have a house to stay at that is so close to the Quilt Walk Activities. The house is small but just what my daughter and myself needed. We plan on renting it again for next years activities. Thanks.

We had a good time. A few maintenance issues overall good.

We were a little worried about booking this place because it looks pretty sketchy from the outside pics but based on good reviews and inside pics we went for it and are glad we did. Place was great. Well appointed and clean. Management was very communicative and easy to get ahold of.
The only reason I dinged one star is because when someone remodeled this they made the really really bad decision to put a barn door on the bathroom. Barn doors are cool and look great but they sure don’t belong on a central bathroom. Glad we were just with family because everyone in the house could hear every single bathroom noise…not good.

Very comfortable property. Quick responses to queries when we were there.

The house is absolutely perfect. It had everything we needed for our stay( laundry soap, coffee, etc) Two blocks from downtown. Super clean, great little backyard that our family enjoyed hanging out in and Bbqing dinner. We will for sure be back!

I was a little apprehensive about staying here because from the outside, the house looked tiny. Once you got inside, it was great! It had everything we needed, nice kitchen, washer & dryer, 2 bedrooms and a large & comfortable sitting room. It was decorated beautifully! The location was great and the price was too! So much better than a hotel room!
4.4
This house was comfortable with all of the needed amenities for our stay. It is close to the center of town with easy access to stores and restaurants. Very enjoyable visit to Panguitch!

We enjoyed the house and the location. There were a few issues that we had a hard time getting help with. The first was the bathroom sink wasn't draining. One of our guests ended up taking it apart and unclogging it after we tried and failed getting help from the property manager. The other issue was we couldn't connect to the wifi. The property manager asked us to restart the router, but that was not located in the house next door that we didn't have access to. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, but wished we could've enjoyed the amenities of WiFi/TV as well as had the plumbing situation figured out for us.

Great little place for exploring. Town is not very big bring all of your supplies. No gas grill available so plan for charcoal or don’t grill.

It is a cute little rental house. Would have given it 5 stars but there were bugs coming up out of the sink & tub drains and all over the floors. Minus that it would have been a Great experience.

The place was quiet and very cute. It was close to a lot of fun destinations like Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. My only concern was the bug problem in the bathroom. When we first got there, there were multiple bugs in the shower and sink.

Very nice home that is clean and critter free. The property manager was very quick on responding to emails. The only reason I gave a 4 star "Cleanliness of Property" was due to the backyard. Upon arrival, the previous guest left BBQ ashes and trash. Other than that, it was great. I plan to come again.

The #1 selection criteria for us was that we wanted a place with a washer/dryer. The washer was broken, and when we tried to contact someone about it, they said they couldn’t get anyone there to fix it. These machines were extremely old, well past their useful life. The biggest disappointment came from the disregard with which we were treated. There was no offer to make things right with us after I explained that this was our #1 search criteria and we wouldn’t have stayed here unless there was a washer/dryer. If they’d had what was promised, it’d be 4 and 5 star ratings across the board. But to be treated with the apathy that we received left me with a bad taste in my mouth for this property mgmt company.

Great house! No a/c in the back part of the house but with ceiling fans & open windows it was okay at night...we were gone during the day. Matthew was great letting us check in a couple hours early. Overall a great experience!

Super Cute Home
We walked into this little house to find it had been recently renovated and was much nicer than the photos! Very cute and clean! We come to Bryce area to trail ride our horses and this location is just over a mile to the rodeo grounds where we keep the horses, so very convenient for us. We would definitely stay here again, although there were a few things: 1) we had a plumbing problem the second day when the toilet started bubbling when the shower drained. After speaking to the reps, they fixed the problem while we were out for the day and all was fine when we got back with no further problems the rest of the stay. 2) the barn door on the bathroom is very cute, but doesn't offer a lot of privacy 3) the heating vent in the small bedroom didn't have the cover screwed back on (it was in the closet) so it felt a little weird to have the heat vent wide open over the bed 4) the ad says shampoo and conditioner provided, so I didn't bring any - but there were only 2 little hotel shampoos in the bathroom, no conditioner provided - glad one of my friends brought hers. On the positive, location is great, the décor is adorable, from walls to dishes. There were plenty of nice pillows and lots of blankets and quilts for comfort, beds were comfortable, heater worked great. The TV and microwave worked great, we didn't use the stove. The kitchen is a little tight (stove in a weird place) but the table is a good size ( great for board games we like to play) and the refrigerator held what we needed it to. Convenient to have the washer and dryer if needed. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would come again!

Cozy, well appointed house with very responsive hosts
This is a beautiful house, with very easy access to Red Canyon, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Staircase Escalante. It is also very close to grocery and gift stores, and a hospital, something not many places in this area can claim. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful when we contacted them twice with requests.
The only minor issue with the place is an ant infestation in the kitchen. However, as I read up on the area, I find that this is an issue with every home or hotel in this area. Comparatively, this house has it under control.
