Red Gum Cottage is the perfect location for your getaway to the Gold Coast Hinterland. Nestled in bushland on Tamborine Mountain with views to the coast, this property is just a few minutes to all of the wonderful attractions on the mountain including including rainforest walks, wineries, cafes, restaurants, Thunderbird Park, Cedar Creek and all of the unique shops on the mountain.
This stunning cottage boasts elegance and the convenience of modern living with high quality furnishings and fittings throughout. The property is ideal for up to six guests for a single night, weekend getaway or longer stay.
Relax on the large decking and enjoy the bushland views. Enjoy the elegant and comfortable 'Hampton' style decor, modern fully-equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, smart TV, ducted air-conditioning. There is a lock-up garage for 1 car.
Check-in is generally from 2:00pm and check-out at 11:00am. However, anytime check-in or check-out is offered when available.
The property is pet-friendly. However, we ask that your furry friends not be left alone at the property as the yard is not secure. Linen, towels and basic toiletries are supplied (shampoo/conditioner, body wash, soap, hair dryer).

We really enjoyed staying here. The house is very well equipped and absolutely beautiful. Beds are comfortable.
The theme parks are close enough and we also enjoyed local restaurants, cafes, shops and bush walks.

We had a lovely weekend overall. A few points to make though; The tight point toward the house at the end of garage could use a cut back. The home on entry smelt of sewage(at entry area) & dog but aired out quickly once opened. Sewerage smell still occasionally near door/ kitchen window.
So pretty & inviting once aired.
The main bathroom glass panel may or may not be considered precarious as my 25 yo gripped it only slightly to get out of shower and fell to the floor, not realising it was hinged (quite severe bruising on thigh & wrist damage). We were concerned that had it been a hard grip the swinging glass may have smashed on the towel rail.
The Mount Tamborine books are great, as is the decor & layout of the home. Deck we used only once (due to rain) but is a beautiful space (maybe needs some citronella burners or mozzi coils available). Grateful for the dining table & loved the lighting especially in the kitchen, so bright & cool but not hard.
The gifts were truly appreciated as was the experience of you special home. We would love to visit again😊

A very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated cottage set amongst the treetops. We loved sitting on the balcony viewing all the different birds who came to visit. We saw kookaburras, cockatoos, parrots, bower birds and various other species. This is the perfect place from which to explore the delights of Tamborine Mountain. We highly recommend this place.

The house was everything you could want for a stay on Tamborine Mountain. The kitchen was fully supplied with every possible item you could possibly need. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was spotlessly clean. The checkin process was seamless. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family and would love to visit again.

This lovely property was everything we had hoped for and there was everything we needed. It has a lovely wide verandah overlooking beautiful trees with the sight and sound of birds, a big barbecue which we used every evening and comfortable chairs around a large table. The beds were very comfortable. We had a great time. Thank you to our wonderful hosts.

It felt like we had stepped straight into a home from a "Better homes & gardens magazine". The Hampton style house was our home away from home while we chased waterfalls around Mt Tambourine. It was so tastefully decorated, warm & inviting with all the extra things that make life as a mum easier (washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, bath). Highly recommend this accommodation.

We stayed here as it was close to a wedding venue. The house is well appointed and there were lots of little personal touches which made us feel very welcome.

Stay for 6 adults
A lovely cottage with pleasant sunny balcony. Although listed to sleep 6, this place is definitely not suitable for 6 adults as the roll away bed is inadequate to sleep anyone except a very small child. General maintenance around the property to clear spiders webs and clean a/c filter would have improved are experience and comfort.

The property was lovely, nicely furnished, cleanliness was excellent, quiet location, very relaxing. Welcomed with a bottle of chilled wine and homemade fudge in the fridge. Would recommend for other visitors to the region. We were there for a wedding.

upgrade of fold up bed
We enjoyed everything about the property except the fold up bed. One adult guest found it very uncomfortable and unable to sleep on it. She could feel the cross bars through the mattress and then slept on the floor.
