About this house rental
Our holiday home is in a secluded location on a 800 sqm plot in a sunny location on the edge of the forest. The street ends shortly after the house as a dead end, so the location is wonderfully quiet! The large garden and the car-free environment are ideal for children to play outside. A table tennis table including rackets and balls is available. The covered porch faces west. A fortified fireplace can be used for a campfire.
The access to the network of trails in Finsterau is only around 300m away.
The house is bricked and therefore keeps the inside temperature at a comfortable level.
The interior consists of solid wood flooring, as does the solid wooden beam ceiling.
A Swedish stove in the living area provides a cozy atmosphere, firewood is available for this.
There is also a sauna house for relaxation with a sauna for 4 people and a (cold) outdoor shower.
Bicycles or skis can be parked in the garden house, the car is protected in front of the house under a carport.
Our house is a non-smoking house. Unfortunately we cannot accept dogs.
In the village center of Finsterau (500m away) there is a well-stocked Edeka market that is open every working day. He also has his own bakery with very good, fresh baked goods.
A recommended butcher ('Kellermann') is in the neighboring town of Heinrichsbrunn. It is located about 1.5 km from the house in the main street on the right shortly before leaving Heinrichsbrunn.
In Finsterau, the Landhotel Bärnriegel is recommended for lunch and dinner, as is the so-called Tafernwirtschaft 'Zur Ehrn' in the museum village (only open until 4 p.m.).
We have put all this information and more together in a folder that is in the house.

This is a lovely place, very quiet and peaceful. The setting is a lot more gloomy though then what the picture portrays. We were unlucky with the weather, even though we were there at the end of June/beginning of July, the temperature was cool and there was a lot of rain. The property is located at the end of a very steep road, surrounded by trees, and on dark days is very gloomy. We had to use the central heating to stay warm.
Aside from that it is a lovely place, the rooms are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Bedding was provided upon request, but we had to make the beds up ourselves and only two hand towels were provided.

House was as described. Very peaceful on edge of Finsterau. Enjoyed the stay. We used it as a basis for exploring the south western Baveria area. Everything in tube house of good quality and there was plenty of everything we needed for our 12 da stay. Would definitely reuse if we were coming back to the area.

Niemandem verraten, selbst genießen
Wir haben eine wundervolle Wanderwoche in Finsterau genossen. Wenn es warm war, den Garten, wenn es kühl war, die Sauna. Das Haus ist perfekt eingerichtet, gute Betten, prima ausgestattete Küche, alles großzügig und gemütlich. In der nahen Umgebung gibt es sehr schöne Wanderwege, ein interessantes Freilichtmuseum, ordentliche Gasthäuser. Der bayerische Wald ist hier noch recht ursprünglich. Wir sollten es eigentlich nicht verraten, sondern lieber selbst genießen,
denn diese Unterkunft ist einfach große Klasse.

Sehr empfehlenswert!
Wir können diese Unterkunft für einen Herbsturlaub sehr empfehlen: am Kamin, der Feuerstelle im Garten und der Sauna kann man sich nach langen Wanderungen wunderbar aufwärmen. Der Wohnbereich ist sehr geräumig, die Küche voll ausgestattet, es war alles sehr sauber.
Besonders lobenswert war die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter: unkompliziert, persönlich, freundlich.
Die Vermieter stellten außerdem zahlreiche Spiele für Familien mit Kindern zur Verfügung.

Ruhe und Entspannung...
... bietet das schön gelegene Ferienhaus all denen, die den Bayerischen Wald genießen oder einfach mal ausspannen wollen.
Das Haus selbst bietet viel Platz für eine vierköpfige Familie. Ein Bad mit Fußbodenheizung, ein Kamin für schöne Abende und eine Sauna im Nebengebäude verwöhnen alle Reisende.
Draußen stehen viel Platz, eine Feuerstelle sowie eine Tischtennisplatte für die ganze Familie zur Verfügung.
Eine Empfehlung für einen Ausflug ist das fußläufig erreichbare Freilichtmuseum Finsterau. Dort kann man sich einen guten Eindruck vom einstmals harten Bauernleben verschaffen.
Wir jedenfalls haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und können das Objekt nur empfehlen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist noch die jederzeit vorbildliche Kommunikation des Vermieters. Alle getroffenen Vereinbarungen werden zuverlässig eingehalten. Wir haben uns jedenfalls von Anfang an sehr wohl und in guten Händen gefühlt und können das Ferienhaus uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Darum sagen wir hiermit nochmals herzlichen Dank für die schönen Tage.

Schönes Haus am direkt am Waldrand
Herr Radinger hat uns sehr nett empfangen und wir haben uns in dem schönen Haus sofort wohlgefühlt. Es ist sehr gemütlich, sauber und die Ausstattung ist super (endlich einmal ein Haus, indem man nicht erst stundenlang unnötige Dekosachen wegräumen musste! Auch dafür ein großes Danke!). Trotz Sommer war es manchmal etwas kühl im Haus, aber der kleine Ofen hat das auf schnelle und gemütliche Art ausgeglichen. Die Sauna hat die wenigen Regentage gut überbrückt. Perfekt ist auch der Zugang zum Wald direkt hinter dem Haus. Dort startet direkt ein schöner Spaziergang zum Freilichtmuseum (leckerer Kuchen). Überhaupt hat uns der Bayerische Wald mit seiner Vielfalt und den zahlreichen Wandermöglichkeiten sehr angenehm überrascht. Schönes Haus und tolle Umgebung haben für uns einen perfekten Urlaub ergeben, der leider nach drei Wochen viel zu schnell vorbei war.

Wunderbares Haus in wunderbarer Lage
Da Haus ist großartig und bestens ausgerüstet und gepflegt. Man/Frau fühlt sich sofort sehr wohl und es gibtr alles was man braucht. Und die Saune ist dan das i-Tüffelchen wenn der kalte WInd über die Hügel zieht. Immer gern wieder.

Wer Ruhe mag, wird Finsterau lieben
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne ruhige Woche in Finsterau, tagsüber hat uns die Sonne und zum Abend der wohlige Kamin mit Wärme verwöhnt, schön ist, dass ausreichend Holz vorhanden ist und im Schuppen für die großen Holzbrocken eine Axt :-) Auch die Sauna bietet sich an kalten Abenden an, leider haben wir die Aussendusche vermisst - wir mussten für die kalte Dusche dann den doch sehr kurzen Gartenschlauch verwenden, das war unpraktisch. Gefallen hat uns die umfangreiche Küchenausstattung, auch das Gewürze etc. vorhanden waren, ist toll.
Wir können das Ferienhaus nur empfehlen, wie das Gästebuch zeigt, waren wir auch nicht die Einigen, die ihren Aufenthalt sehr genossen haben.

wunderbarer Urlaub im bayerischen Wald
Das Haus und die Ausstattung sind perfekt, die Lage wunderschön, absolut ruhig, direkt an einem Märchenhaften Wanderweg. Eichelhäher, Gartenrotschwanz und Eichhörnchen begrüßen uns morgens auf dem Grundstück. Wir haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt, es gibt absolut nichts auszusetzen. Die Vermieter haben besondere Sorgfalt walten lassen, die Gastfreundschaft ist überall im Haus zu spüren.

Leider schon wieder vorbei
Leider ist der Urlaub schon wieder vorbei. Zum Haus braucht man nicht viele Worte verlieren, es wurde schon in den anderen Bewertungen ausführlich beschrieben. Auch wir konnten nichts zum Meckern finden. Wir haben mehrfach die IGEL-Busse genutzt und eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Urlaubswoche gestaltet. Abends konnte man in der Sauna sehr gut regenerieren. Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub! Eine kleine Ergänzung: das Hotel Bärnriegel ist nur bedingt zu empfehlen. Am Essen kann man nichts aussetzen, aber die Freundlichkeit gegenüber den Nicht-Hotel-Gästen unterscheidet sich doch erheblich. Willkommen fühlte man sich dort nicht, eher als zusätzliche Last.

Tolle Unterkunft
Das Haus ist sehr sauber und prima ausgestattet. Die heimelige Atmosphäre wird unterstrichen durch das Flackern des Schwedenofens, der am Abend eine wohlige Wärme verbreitet. Wir haben das sehr genossen und uns gefreut, dass an reichlich Holz und Anfeuermaterial gedacht war. Vor allem die herrliche Ruhe in der Gegend ist für stressgeplagte Großstädter einmalig. In vielen Ferienhäusern vermeiden wir zu kochen, aber hier waren wir mit allen erdenklichen Küchen und Haushaltsgeräten so gut ausgestattet, dass der Hobbykoch das gerne erledigt hat. Vielen Dank an Familie Radinger für die vielen nützlichen Vorschläge für ein vielfältiges Urlaubsprogramm bei jedem Wetter. Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Bayerischen Wald - nicht zuletzt weil wir Einsteiger in Sachen Schilanglauf sind - und sind voll auf unsere Kosten und auf den Geschmack gekommen. Gerne wieder mal!

Alles da, alles sauber, alles schön und gemütlich
Herr Radinger hat uns ausgesprochen freundlich empfangen und alles erklärt und gezeigt. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr schön und sehr ruhig gelegen. Der positive äußere Eindruck des Hauses wird innnen nicht enttäuscht. Die Einrichtung ist freundlich, gemütlich, schön und doch zweckmäßig. Es fehlt an nichts und der Standard geht über das üblicherweise Bekannte hinaus. Hervorzuheben ist der gute Holzofen im Haus, der tatsächlich rauch- und rußfrei zu benutzen ist (hat man nicht immer sowas). Benutzbares Holz ist auch genügend vorhanden. Das Gleiche gilt auch für das separate Saunahäuschen; gut ausgestattet und gut benutzbar!

Wir konnten unseren Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus sehr genießen, da die Ausstattung absolut keine Wünsche offen ließ. Die naturnahe Lage bot viel Entspannung, aber dennoch waren alle Ausflugsziele gut zu erreichen. Der Kontakt mit Herrn Radinger war sowohl per E-Mail als auch persönlich sehr angenehm und der Austausch ließ keine Fragen offen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
