About this house rental
Located in the Cape May City Historic District, the "Fox Den" offers upscale comfort inside, and lovely outside living spaces. During the summer season, the home is a Sunday to Sunday (weekly) rental; our guests appreciate the reduced check in traffic! Off season we have a two night minimum stay. The two block walk to the historic district's Washington Street Mall makes the home ideal for long weekend activities during the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Walk two blocks more and you are at the beautiful Ocean Street Beach.
With 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths, it's a great vacation choice for large families, friends and couples. The open space first floor offers a great room with 50" flat screen TV, bar cabinet, well equipped kitchen, and a spacious dining area. Gather on the open air front porch or enter the “Tower Room" / inside porch for relaxing. The first floor also features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master suite (en suite full bath) has a king size bed and a day bed; a second bedroom has a queen bed; the third bedroom has two twin beds.
The home's second floor has a family room complete with a 60 inch TV, coffee/ wet bar (beverage refrigerator and microwave). Located on either side of the family room are two additional bedrooms . The second floor king master suite (en suite full bath) has a daybed; an additional bedroom with two twin beds and two sets of bunk beds sleeps 6. The home’s 4th full bathroom has a 2nd set of high efficiency (HE) washer and dryer.
A pack and play, stroller, high chair, and booster chair are provided for our younger guests. Relax in the gated rear yard with 2 patio area dining tables, Adirondack chair conversation pit, additional seating, and a propane gas grill. A changing room /outdoor shower (hot and cold water) completes the shore scene. At the Ocean Street beach, a beach box stocked with 8 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, and beach toys is provided during the summer season. Additionally, a beach wagon and beach cart are provided for transporting beach towels, cooler etc. to and from the beach.
The "Fox Den" has parking for 3 cars in the driveway, plus un-metered street parking. Leave your cars parked; it takes minutes to walk to the beaches, parks, restaurants, theaters, food stores, bike rentals, mini golf, and more! LINENS and TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE RENTAL. Our family has been going to Cape May for over 20 years and the Fox Den is one of the best homes we have stayed at. The kitchen is very well furnished with everything you would have in your own home!! The beds and pillows are all very comfortable. Bedrooms are all spacious and very well appointed. Plenty of hot water and a great outdoor shower. Family room area is wide open and great for family activities. Very nice out door space with lots of relaxing and dining space. The back yard space is a bit limited if you need room for base ball or frisbee but most homes in Cape May have limited yard space. Our whole family highly recommends the Fox Den. You won’t be disappointed!!

Absolutely the best, this home is beautiful, convenient, clean, minutes away from shops and restaurants and short walk or bike ride to the beach. Tom and Colleen are the best hosts, always making sure to accommodate. 2nd year here and looking forward to many more!

Even a few rainy days couhhldn't ruin our stay at the Fox Den. The house easily accomodated our family of 6 adults and 3 children. The layout of the house allows for plenty of together time, but you can easily escape to read or work in one of three inside sitting spaces or the front porch or lovely back yard. wss a hit

Lovely and well maintained home with plenty of space to settle in for a great family stay. We were a group of 6 adults and two kids and had tons of room to spare. Walkable to the best of Cape May and the beach box made our lives way easier! Will be back again. PS. Loved the fox themed touches!

We rented this property for us, our two daughters, and our parents as part of our wedding week. The house was amazing! Comfortable, closely located to everything, and spacious. We were extremely pleased and the layout allowed for privacy. I would recommend the Fox Den as a rental that does not disappoint!

Great house for our adult weekend. Nine middle aged adults who behaved ourselves (mostly) had a wonderful stay catching up, etc while in town for a friend's retirement at the Cape May Coast Guard base. Lots of bedrooms and superb kitchen/dining area and livingroom for hanging out together. Kitchen had full complement of dishes, pots and glasses available. Landlord's instructions and process are pretty straightforward. There's a king-bed room on the main floor with its own bathroom that was ideal for a friend who doesn't like stairs. This is a great place for a big family with kids or a bunch of friends to spend a week in Cape May during the in-season.

This was our first visit to Cape May and we were a bit spoiled by this beautiful home. First the house is beautifully appointed and everything you could possibly need to prepare a thanksgiving dinner is here. The layout of the house makes it ideal for extended families,affording some privacy. The location was ideal with a short walk to the village and the beach. I would highly recommend FoxDen and extremely happy with our stay.

My 3 friends and I took a 4 day fall vacation in Cape May and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. Every detail of comfort has been considered and we experienced an enjoyable time in Cape May and in the house. Everything in the house is clean, new and bright which gave us a feeling of security and happiness. The Fox Den was by far the best trip I have taken to the Jersey shore in 22 years I have been visiting with my family, children
And friends. After years of Wildwood crest, we decided to venture out and we’re lucky enough to book the fox den only because a regular had canceled. Best luck in the world! The Fox Den is absolutely beautiful and immaculate! The living space and kitchen was more than enough for all of us. My entire family enjoyed this trip more than any other family vacation. We were able to invite more friends because there was so much beautiful living and sleeping space. The shops at Cape May were minutes away and the walk to the beach was absolutely beautiful. The convenience of the beach box that Tom and Colleen provided made our beach days so easy. I cannot say enough about how accommodating Tom and Colleen both were from answering questions before the trip to helping us find the greatest restaurants and destinations in Cape May. This will be our new vacation spot every year. I can’t say enough good things!

House couldn’t have been more perfect for our 5 children and 6 adults. Kids each had their own beds and we all had enough bathrooms for everyone to get ready each day. This was the second time we rented this home for a weekend away. It’s a beautiful, spacious house and the owners are wonderful to work with. The property is spotless and beautifully decorated. We are so grateful to have found this beautiful home for our first ever "girls weekend" with some of my closest friends from elementary school! The house is decorated beautifully, it's immaculate, spacious, cheerful and cozy, and conveniently located just steps away from the shops and restaurants, and the beach. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and everyone had such a wonderful time! The check in and checkout process was very easy, and the hosts were kind and welcoming, and very responsive and accommodating. We honestly couldn't have thought of a more perfect home to spend together and create wonderful memories we will always cherish! We all can't wait to come back again!

Was very impressed with everything you could need being supplied in the kitchen, as that can sometimes be hit and miss with some houses. Owners very courteous and responsive with any questions I had. House was also close to the beach and Washington St. Would love to stay here again when returning to Cape May.

This is a beautiful property, conveniently located near everything. You can easily walk to beaches, the market, and excellent restaurants. The hosts were friendly and easily accessible. Perfect Space and Location!
Me and 10 friends stayed at the Fox Den for a girls weekend in early June and had the most wonderful time! The house was very spacious with great bedrooms and wonderful bathrooms to go with each! It was extremely beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed. The "beach box" right at the entrance of the beach was above and beyond our expectations of convenience. Stocked with nice beach chairs and umbrellas, just waiting for us at the beach. In addition to the beautiful property, the location is great. Located on a quiet street and a quick walk to acme and smoothies/coffee, and the heart of town. The owners were very helpful and responsive as well. We will definitely be coming back to stay and highly recommend!!

Girls Weekend
The Fox Den was the perfect place for our girls weekend! The house was extremely clean and spacious for 12 girls. The house is beautiful and the decor is so nice - there is so much detail around the house. It’s a really nice vacation home, but numerous girls said they wished they actually lived there full time :) The location is perfect. We walked to most restaurants and places we visited and everything was within a 10-15 minute walk at maximum (including the beach). Tom and Colleen are great hosts that were extremely responsive leading into the trip and during the trip. Numerous girls on the trip said they’d love to come back with family and other guests and stay at the Fox Den again, myself included. Would highly recommend!!!
