Lovely accomodation linked to a heritage house. The renovated stone cottage tastefully decorated adding to the enjoyment of the stay. The log fire most welcome on a cold day.

Wonderful place to stay - every comfort you could wish for.

A lovely historic and very comfortable place to stay. The room was beautifully decorated and had every comfort. The breakfast provisions were great and the hosts were very welcoming. The gardens were an absolute pleasure to walk around in.

Relaxing country cottage retreat

What’s not to like! If you want peace & tranquility in a heritage piece of history in a stunning country setting this is the place for you. So relaxing, Deb thought of everything you could possibly need to self cater if you choose. The cottage was beautifully decorated to create a cozy home away from home. She even had the fire burning when we got there, & on a cold day it was lovely. The bed was lovely & warm too with electric blanket. Deb even baked fresh bread for our arrival. Great value for money too!

Can’t think of anything but we would love to come back in the spring when the obviously manicured gardens are in bloom.

One of Our Most Memorable Stays

We loved our stay at Old WesleyDale and feel very privileged to have spent three nights somewhere so special. The property is spectacular and steeped in history. The gardens are truly a wonder and can imagine at another time of the year the colour would be striking. The cottage was a treat. Very spacious, well equipped and very comfortable indeed and the decor was just splendid. We enjoyed meeting the owners, Scott and Deb and already have plans to return. Such a memorable stay!

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.

The most beautiful property in a breath taking garden. Met by the lovely hosts and their friendly pets. The accommodation has everything you need for a cosy home away from home stay. Definitely a place you will want to return to!

Great base for exploring

We loved the location near Mole Creek, where there is a nice restaurant and tavern with a creek that has a bit of history. Nice place to look for platipus and meet people. We liked the location near enough to Cradle Mountain, Sheffield, and Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary. We loved the Gardens. We loved the dvd selection and artwork in the room.

Great stay in an idyllic setting.

The gardens and old buildings at this property are amazing. You are free to stroll around the beautiful flowers and spend the afternoons exploring the grounds. Little rabbits greet you on the entrance too. Absolutely stunning place.

Lovely quiet stay

It was a very quiet location. The two owners have a lovely, and I mean a lovely garden (see pictures). They also have a friendly, quiescent dog, that doesn't mind strangers. There is a sitting area outside so that one can enjoy the garden and take in the sounds of the birds. The room was clean and large with a mini sofa and armchair. There is a cooker in the kitchen and one can use the washing machine.

Beautiful place with wonderful history and it was clean and very well maintained. It had an amazing garden and great host. The location was perfect for our touring around the area.

Amazing place to stay in. Heritage, beautiful gardens and a cute cottage

The host went out of her way to get me a vegan breakfast. The cottage itself was comfy, cute and a perfect place to stay with your partner/family. The added bonus is the heritage building, the beautiful gardens and the vast farm land. Book this place. You won’t regret it!

Exceptional

The location was perfect for exploring the local area. There are many short walks and also the Mole Creek caves. The cottage was so quiet and comfortable and the surrounding gardens were perfect for relaxing.

Magical Hidden Getaway

We loved Deb's and Scott's beautiful garden with all the secret spots. There was something around every corner and along each path or lawn. The cottage was excellent value for money, very clean and comfortable with lots of extras like the freshly baked bread waiting for us, that never made it to next morning's breakfast. Deb was a very friendly and welcoming host. Old WesleyDale is a wonderful place to stay.

We could find anything we didn't like.

This accommodation will always form an important part of our memories of Tasmania.

The hosts Deb and Scott were friendly and helpful. The site is a well restored piece of Tasmanian history and the gardens were some of the most beautiful we have ever seen. Even the drive into the property is beautiful. Everything is immaculately maintained.

A very comfortable, tastefully furnished historical property in a lovely location.

The property was really lovely, both the grounds and the old dairy (where we were accommodated). The room had been very tastefully furnished and was a pleasure to stay in. The breakfast provisions were also great, including very nice home-made bread. The location (just outside Mole Creek) was most convenient for walks, dinner options (the pub, the wandering trout) and on the way to Cradle Mountain.

Stay an extra day than planned to soak up the garden ambience.

The stunning gardens are very Insta worthy. You could lose yourself reading and relaxing within the gardens all day. The host, Deb, provides a great narrative about the development of the property.

Exceptional

This is a luxurious getaway in a great spot for exploring the local area. The highlight is the garden, which we probably spent hours wandering. The historic cottage we stayed in is cozy, well-appointed and decorated in a way that reflects its heritage. Having a fireplace was a great bonus for the cold nights and the free breakfast supplies topped it off.
