About this house rental
Recently updated and refreshed with brand new exterior paint in 2021 and remodeled bathroom in 2022. A cozy two bedroom getaway 15 minutes from Long Beach. The house is a couple minutes drive to the beach and sits on a dead end street with a large lot and greenspace on all sides. We have a Smart Tv that connects to our wifi for easy access to your Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc. accounts. We keep a selection of DVD’s in the house for your enjoyment as well. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the small bedroom has a bunk bed. Please make note that we have a cooktop and countertop oven (not a conventional oven). Due to space limitations the fridge/freezer is small. Please look at the pictures. The house is located in a perfect location to explore the Long Beach Peninsula. The house was quite comfortable. The bunk beds were a surprise but maybe I missed that in the advertisement. We appreciated the amenities but there was no sugar for coffee and the coffee, 1/3 full large Costco can, was stale.

My friend and I had a fantastic time at this place. Very clean, very quiet, no neighbors. Peaceful, not too far from the beach. Plenty of room to sit on the sectional and chat. We enjoyed the electric fireplace and the front porch. Will definitely come back!!

Very cozy place in a very friendly town! Jack's Country store has EVERYTHING, the Coastal Cafe was amazing for breakfast, both with amazing staff and within 2 miles of the place

What a perfect little rental for our family of four! Cozy, great location and a very quick drive into Long Beach. We travel a lot, and you can tell the rental owners care and take great pride in maintaining this property. We are already planning a return trip for early Summer!

My husband and i stayed here for 4 nights, the owners checked in on day two to make sure we were doing ok. Everything is as represented, very clean, comfortable, quiet, photos are accurate, we couldn't have asked for more. I would definitely stay here on a return stay. Thank you!

The house is well equipped with linens, towels, cookware, all the necessities and is in excellent condition. Due to it's small size it is probably better suited for a family with children rather than 4 adults

Cozy, wonderful little bungalow.
This property is spotlessly clean. It's situated in a scenic quiet area just made for a restful getaway. The beds (even the bunk beds) are incredibly comfortable. With all of the sights to see and things to do, I wish I could have stayed much, much longer. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to the peninsula.

Darling, clean, quiet, and well-appointed
Darling small home. House is warm, dry, secure, and well-appointed for a beach rental. Property is clean and well-maintained, and had all the quiet, privacy, and amenities needed for a true get-away. The neighborhood is quiet and serene. It felt the perfect size for one, but would easily accommodate a small family as well. The master bed is extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is well-appointed for cooking and staying in. Excellent communication with owners. I will be booking this property again.

Quiet and Comfortable
Perfect stay for a couple or small family. Easy access to various points on the Long Beach Peninsula. Especially, enjoyed the peace and quiet with good separation from neighbors and no road noise, just surf sounds in the distance.d Highly recommended.

What a great get away!
There was another review, and all of the minor notes where addressed, and quickly! We were very pleased! Such a comfy relaxing little cabin! Summer or winter get away! Owners had immediate response to a question, and were so nice! The shower is VERY small, but the place is lovely! Love that large sectional sofa! WiFi makes watching any shows easy in the evenings. Huge selection of DVD’s! Would go back any time, and recommend to others!

Cozy, quiet, secluded getaway
This property was clean and as described. It is a well cared for cabin that was large enough for a family of 4 adults, though the walls are thin and you can gear everything.
The cabin is isolated enough that we had a family of deer come through the yard one afternoon, but is is also just a few blocks from the beach.
The owners were very responsive and answered questions very quickly and kindly. I noticed that they addressed previous complaints (there are cabinet locks and plenty of dishes, pots/pans, and dish rags).
My only complaint is that the shower is small/flimsy and not especially clean looking.

Very comfortable, clean, hospitable home. Quiet street, and quiet beach just a quick 3-minute drive away. We had beautiful weather. The owner’s of this property responded within minutes when contacted with questions prior to and after our stay.

Some suggestions
Nice location! The street is semi-secluded with no traffic. Lovely to sit out on the porch with coffee in the mornings and an adult beverage in the evenings. The owners seem very nice and indulging.
Some simple suggestions and observations, some of which may seem trivial, some are just plain annoying making the summary of the property a little misleading. Observations: Of most concern; you have insecticide and paint behind a kitchen cupboard door that is at the height of a toddler and is not child proofed. You also have what appears to be a storage shed on the property so those dots can easily be connected. The fridge is indeed new but is only half a fridge as is the hot water heater. The oven is only “toaster oven” in size and there is no counter space for it.
Some simple suggestions How about some hand sanitizer on entry and in the kitchen? The kitchen area could use a tea kettle (you have tea), the frying pan is a screw driver away from working better, and the dining table is quite sticky on the bench and table. Operation of the TV is not intuitive so perhaps leaving some instructions? We could have used some guidance regarding what to do with house garbage (Apparently there is no collection and no larger container for it so what to do if the can is full). The kitchen could use some dish rags rather than the little sponge. How about a clothes rack for drying, some recommendations for laundromats, identification of where the outside hose bib is (we found it but it is covered and not obvious) and a hose for washing off sand? The soap in the bathroom was not placed in an obvious location and the body wash was miniscule. There are other things but I’m afraid I will sound like I’m whining.
So I would say the location is indeed nice but the property is not child proofed, is under equipped, not particularly user friendly.

Cozy Cabin
We had a very nice little girls / grand babies get away. The little cozy cabin was perfect for our beach stay. The yard was perfect for the boys to play in, the bunk beds and kids movies were a perfect end to the day for them. If I could suggest a couple things, it would be to add a small propane bbq and chairs for the table on the porch. We would stay again for sure :)

Perfect Getaway
This house was the perfect choice for our weekend getaway. We spent a lot of time in the private yard enjoying the fire pit and front porch. The house was super clean, nicely decorated, and so cozy. We can’t wait to stay again.
