The property was clean, and had a family feel to it. It lacked for nothing. I highly recommend it.

This wonderful cabin is just as advertised. Holly was a fantastic hostess and provided quick responses to any questions. Definitely a beautiful, secluded mountain location that we would highly recommend! Nice mattresses, sheets, and pillows too. Lots of wildlife and plenty of outdoor activities to do in the AF area. Plus Taos is an easy day trip!

We had a great time at Holly’s cabin. The place was very clean and comfortable, check in process was seamless and Holly communicates reliably and quickly.

Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed our summer getaway. Cabin setup was perfect with two bedrooms downstairs for us grandmas and a loft for the younger part of the group. Beds were all very comfortable, towels thick and luxurious.
The wall of windows and deck let us feel outdoors even when we weren't. Deer and wild turkeys were seen every day, chipmunks constantly around, looking for handouts and being cute.
Thank you, Mike and Holly for a great stay!

We have been going on annual ski trips for years and this is one of the best cabins we have ever stayed in. The highlights were the loft for the teens with their own space and its proximity to the ski resort. The host was by far the best we’ve ever worked with in communicating and responding to questions.

The home was so homey and relaxing. The views are amazing with the snowy weather. The deer came up to the house every day we were there & got to feed them carrots. We got to enjoy sledding & tubbing out by the house.will definitely be staying there again. So peaceful.

The cabin was so comfortable, warm, and clean. There were games and puzzles for the kids. The wood burning stove was wonderful.
We loved seeing wildlife from the windows overlooking the deck—mule deer and a wild turkey!
Also great communication from the host.

Very cozy and accommodating for the entire family! Short, easy drive to AF resort. Loved the fireplace, big dining table, outside deck area, and wildlife views.

We had a wonderful fall getaway and this cabin made the perfect home base. We enjoyed activities in Angel Fire, Red River, Eagles Nest, and Cimarron without feeling like we were spending most of our time driving to the destinations.
The cabin was just as described. It was clean, stocked with all the essentials, and comfortable in every way. If you prefer having some space around you so you can enjoy sitting on the deck or looking out the windows without people or road noise, this is the perfect place! The trees are beautiful and we saw deer, chipmunks, and turkey. Another bonus was the comfortable beds and satellite tv.
Holly was a great host and very easy to communicate with. It felt like being part of the family!

Will definitely book again!

The house was very well equipped. It is in a beautiful and peaceful spot. We loved sitting on the porch in the late afternoons and evenings after a day of exploring the mountains around us.
Holly was extremely helpful, and the house is very comfortable. We would certainly stay again.

My wife and I took our 18 year old grand daughter to Angel Fire before she goes off to Texas A&M. We had a great time and a big part of what made our trip so enjoyable was the property we stayed in - we had visits from mule deer, elk, wild turkey, chipmunks and plenty of hummingbirds! The home was perfect for us - great, quiet location

Angel Fire, NM is the perfect place to escape the Texas heat during the summer months. The cabin is located high up the mountains and the weather oscilates between the mid 40s and the high 70s. We are deeply grateful to Holly and Mike for allowing us to stay there. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Contacting Holly and Mike was easy, Holly responded quickly. Most definitely, we will go back as soon as we can get time off from our jobs!

The cabin is great and the owner is very nice. Response was great.
Caution for motorcycles…It was farther on gravel than we thought. Miscommunication on definition of main road. We are on full dress Harley’s. I assumed the main road was the highway. It was 2 miles from main road on gravel. It was a bit washboard but we managed. Trailers are a must here if it rains. There is room for two small trailers. Had to back out. No turn around. If we were just on bikes we would not have gotten up on the wet/mud road. Loved the fire stove, wild life at the door and private setting. Would stay again but maybe without the bikes.

Our family of eight had a good stay in Angel Fire, NM where we enjoyed the snow, skiing, and hanging out in the house.

Great house right on the mountain, about 1.5 miles from the ski lift. Had everything we need including a wood burning stove, which warmed the whole house. Maybe the best part was watching the wildlife walk right up to the back deck.
I bought a bag of deer corn, and every morning and evening, about 8 big deer would come eat. Being a city family, we don’t see wildlife like this so up close. Made so many memories here, I will
Definitely return. I might even come at a different time of year, to experience the mountain in a different season. All in all great place to stay.

Beautiful setting among the Aspen trees, changing colors. Lots of deer visited us just off the deck several times giving my grandchildren the wonderful experience of feeding and interacting with these gentle creatures. We also set out some bird seed and attracted several varieties of birds. Wild turkeys visited the area one morning also. The cabin was well stocked with ice and paper products, that we really appreciated. The loft was a perfect cozy zone for the grandchildren ages 7 and 10 to relax . holly was easy to communicate with and gave great instructions.

We had a wonderful time at this cozy cabin with my sister and her husband and our dogs. We enjoyed watching the birds, the deer, the turkeys and even saw a bear wondering down the mountain one day. The kitchen was well stocked, and had plenty of room at the table. Enjoyed the patio in the afternoons. The WiFi was great and was able to watch movies in the evenings after our hikes. Lots to do and see in this area from Angel Fire, Taos, and Red River. Our host was very responsive to any of our questions. Will come again.

Great getaway
My family had a great time at this cabin. Good location that is close enough to AF but far enough to feel "out there". Nights are dead silent and the stars are great. My favorite part was the wildlife. We had deer every morning/night that you could practically pet and were lucky enough to have 3 bear encounters (1 being a mother and cub). A wild turkey family also passed by early one morning. I would plan to return based on our 3 night experience. Thanks for hosting Holly!

The Blue Gem: Quaint & Serene
We rented this property for our first family ski trip. It was more than enough room for the 4 of us- another small family could have easily fit too! The glass front was my favorite as we watch the snow billow down while watching the mule deer come up to the porch to eat.
The star of the house is the cast iron wood burning stove! This feature added to the tranquility and charm of the property. My family resting by the fire after a long day of skiing with a bowl of homemade chili was priceless! We can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time and the home and location were excellent for skiing. Bring corn, the deer will thank you for it.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. The setup is perfect for families and close to the skiing. The owners stayed in touch throughout our visit to ensure we had the best possible experience.
Looking forward to coming out in the summer!

Another Amazing Stay!
This is our second time staying here and it has been fantastic both times. We love the cabin’s setup, and it’s easy access to the ski resort with a short drive down the mountain. The kids love the game room/loft area and the deer are everywhere - beautiful location and cabin! The owner, Holly, is great to work with, as well!

Very nice cabin above Angle Fire
Cozy cabin setup well for large families. Lot's of wildlife in the area. Good for ski or summer vacations. Need to be aware that the mountain road leading to cabin can require 4x4 or chains in heavy snow conditions.

Wonderful cozy cabin
This property is such a dream, I don’t want to write this in fear of everyone finding out! It’s such a gem, the photos absolutely do not do it justice. It’s warm, cozy and just what you need for an escape to the mountains. Location is great, porch is lovely, kitchen has most of what you need, plenty of space for the 5 adults/1 baby. Really lovely and Holly was very helpful and communicative. 5 stars!

Great Cabin!
This cabin was perfect for us! Although it was just my husband & I, the cabin would comfortably fit 2-3 couples/families as there are 2 bedrooms on the main floor & the loft has extra beds & a nice play area for kids. Furniture is comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need! The deck is a great space to hang out & nature watch. The deer are so cute & come very close to the deck everyday (drive carefully as deer are often slowly crossing the road). The location is very cool as you feel in nature & barely see neighbors, but it’s in a resort type neighborhood so you’re not out on your own. Holly was very communicative & made sure we were well taken care of. Great experience!

Wonderful mountain getaway!
A beautiful, cozy, and clean cabin tucked away in the trees! It has plenty of room, a fireplace to sit around, great deck to relax on, and lots of wildlife you can hand feed. Be sure to take plenty of deer corn, carrots, and bird seed. We took El Camino Real road to the top of the mountain in the Ranger and enjoyed the most beautiful views! Holly was very nice and attentive, and answered all of our questions, and made sure that our stay was perfect! We can't wait to return to this cabin for another perfect weekend getaway.

Wonderful Mountain Retreat
My husband and I wanted to escape the heat of Arizona for the Southern Rockies of Northern New Mexico and we were not disappointed. The area is quiet and beautiful. We saw turkey and deer on more than one occasion. The A Frame itself was very nice. It had everything we needed and was comfortable and cozy. Wonderful deck to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon drink. Holly, the host, was pleasant, responsive and great! Our only regret is that we didn’t visit a little later in September so that we see the Aspen leaves turn gold on the mountainsides. We will need to come back in order to make that a reality. Wonderful place and a wonderful host!

Excellent Getaway
My daughter, 3 yo grandson and dog Rosie thoroughly enjoyed our week vacation at the blue chalet tucked high up in the forested mountain. The floor to ceiling cathedral windows offering a spectacular view of towering aspens continually reminded us of the beauty of nature all around us. Wildlife galore surrounded the cabin daily. Perfect set up with gated decks helping to contain our little person and dog. Since it was summer, our main activity was hiking, from high up at roads end, to the Lady Slipper Trail down by Monte Verde Lake and many places in between, including the easy walk from the cabin to the old beaver dam. The host was a delight to work with, very responsive, provided suggestions, yet was not intrusive. Highly recommend!

Excellent Location
Loved the cabin and the surrounding property. Loads of wildlife - daily deer visits, hummingbirds, jays, chipmunks, and an occasional bear passing through.

Property is as described, and up a dirt/gravel road surrounded by woods. We had a 2 wheel drive truck and didn't have any problems after the rains in the afternoon. There is quite a bit of traffic on this road throughout the day. There is a loop road just down from their driveway that made for a nice long walk in the evenings. The deck is great, and dries off pretty quick with the breeze after the rains we had our first 2 days. We spent several mid-afternoons on it resting after long hikes. It was mostly shaded but also had some sunny sections to enjoy as well. They have 2 nice adirondack chairs and an iron table with chairs that rock so we didn't even use our camp chairs we brought. Their house lot is on a hill and not really level enough for camp chairs. We brought a tie out for our beagle which worked out great on the deck. He was able to walk around the deck, go down the stairs, snoop under part of the deck and not run off after all the chipmunks and rabbits he was sniffing out. This the first rental we've used that had a gas grill with propane tanks for use. There is no cover for the grill however and you light it with matches. Between the grill and a well stocked kitchen we ate all our dinners at the house, whether outside or inside. The cool weather felt great to us. We had chilly nights but the heating inside kept us very comfortable. Nightlights are set up in the bathroom and kitchen. There were 4 adults in our group. We had plenty of space within the house. Our daughter chose the upstairs and thought the spiral staircase steps were spaced out well for getting up and down. The only thing that wasn't correct was the Wi-Fi code provided with the check-in papers. I called and Holly answered immediately telling us where to find it written down. We had a very nice stay and would recommend this location. It was close enough to the market and amenities when needed but far enough away you really don't notice neighbors if they're around or not.

Perfect Family Retreat
The cabin was exactly as it appeared in the pictures on the website. It was cozy yet big enough for our family of 5. We especially loved spending time on the back deck. Most days we were able to see deer, chipmunks and hummingbirds. We would definitely stay in this cabin again.
