We highly recommend this place. The view is stunning and the house is beautiful and tidy. We are looking forward to spending time there again.

The house is beautiful — well-stocked, clean, great view as others have said. We won't ever go back because of some major issues due to a wildfire:
1. There is only one narrow neighborhood road to get to the house. The road is steep and often hugs ravine curves (beware anyone who gets carsick!). So, if something happens (tree limb, accident, fire), getting in or out can be delayed—or you can get stuck.
2. The house is not set up for a power outage. There was a very close wildfire during our stay that cut power & water (electric pump) to the house. There's no generator or water on site, and even though the local contact offered to bring some flashlights, local emergency crews were not letting people in—and that's not the vacation we'd paid for. (We had 2 elderly folks and 2 young children with us. If we wanted to rough it, we would have happily gone camping for hundreds less.)
3. The rental agency refused any refund for the night we had to evacuate—full or partial. The agreement had a natural disaster clause, which is standard at a lot of places so just be aware of this as a possibility. Stuff happens!
Honestly the best part of our trip was the whole fam bonding over checking into a hotel with just the clothes on our backs. Thankfully, the fire crew said no one was hurt & they got it out in 1 night. So a good story to tell. But this won't be one we ever go back to. Next time, we'll be camping in the state park!
PS: Not the best place for young kids if you want a yard!

The house was AMAZING! I expected a great view from the pictures but the pictures don’t do it justice! The house was clean, ready on time and had everything we needed for several meals prepared at the house. The loft was perfect for tweens that need some privacy but open enough to stay connected to family time. The house was big enough for my parents, my husband and I and our two tweens. We hoped for a walking path to the water but the view was enough of a trade off. I would recommend this house! The drive up is narrow but wasn’t an issue in a full size truck.

This was perfect for our family of 6 with 4 boys. They loved the foosball table and the trundle bed. Plenty of room and access to numerous places to see.

Spent a couple of wonderful nights at the house - beautiful views. Location worked well for us. Everything was clean and in good order.

This house was magical! The morning view was spectacular and I will never forget it. The house itself was very clean upon arrival and had everything we needed for a week. The master bedroom was spacious and our kids enjoyed the bunk beds in the smaller bedroom. The living room had plenty of seating and was cozy with a fireplace.
The drive up to the house is not bad at all! I have been on some scary roads in that area and this one was steep but paved and not busy.

We enjoyed the view across the valley and river as the sun rose, the clouds that gave the Smokies their name settled in the valley. One morning they rolled right up the hills and embraced us for a while. We watched the sunsets from the front porch swing while the clouds and sun played tag. The drive up and down was enjoyable, letting us know that we were no longer in the flat lands. The home was fully outfitted, clean, prepared…. Everything that we needed as a base. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Enjoyed our stay. Little hard to get to but worth the effort.

We had a great time! The house was so clean and check-in was so easy. The view is stunning! We will come back to stay again!

This property is located high-up a mountain with spectacular views from hits two story windows in the common area or master bedroom, but it is very difficult to get up to it. The access road is gated, but only provides a single lane to travel with the edge of the mountain barely off the single lane road. This creates huge problems when one car wants to go up to their house and another wants to come down. With over a dozen homes off the access road during peak seasons I would imagine it is very difficult getting up and down the road without issues.
The home was very difficult to keep warm as the bedrooms are down a narrow hallway and the master had huge windows which were great for a view, but they are clearly much older and leaked a ton of cold air into the room. When we ran the fireplace in the common area it would heat the room into the low 70's, but that drove the bedrooms to be near freezing it seemed as the thermostat is in the common area didn't run for hours. I would recommend upgrading to a Nest system where you could add multiple sensors to your thermostat or setting up the bedrooms as a separate zone.
Also, I tried to reach out to the management company about the trash center being closed on Sunday prior to check out. You have to be out by 10:00 am, but the trash center doesn't open until 1:00 pm. I did not know what to do with the trash so we ended up going Saturday morning to the trash center and then taking the trash bags from Saturday and Sunday morning with us until we stopped for gas on our way home. If you are going to allow guests to check out Sunday there should be plan for this, but even if there isn't there is no excuse for the property management company never calling us back. What if power had gone out? There was no hot water? The key box wouldn't open? We would be totally out of luck with no one answering the phone or calling back.
Overall, the property was well furnished, had everything we could need, and was very comfortable. It was worth staying at once, but next time we'll pay the premium prices to stay in town.

Cozy cabin with spectacular view

Other than both toilet sizes were for children and need to be replaced for taller ones, the property location and contents were to our liking.

The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The pictures online are a good representation of the property, with the exception there is a house to the left (looking at the house) so you have to keep the blinds closed in the master bedroom.
The water pressure was great in the master shower as well as comfortable bed.
There really was a little bit of everything you need for the kitchen.
The views were really amazing and it was nice to watch through the windows and see them from the bedroom, kitchen or even living room.
WiFi could be a little quicker later in the evening, the football game and movies would buffer while watching.
The drive up to the house is paved so not bad during non winter conditions.
Loved loved being able to watch the sunrise/views in the morning. You can not see the sunsets with where the house is setting.
We would definitely rebook and stay here again if we stay in NC. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!

The view is breathtaking. Fully equipped with everything we needed—spacious, clean, comfortable setting. Quiet, secure (gated) and private. Coffee maker, dishes, and all the pots and pans we needed for making dinner. There is a grill and a great deck. A relatively easy (half hour) trip to hiking and rafting. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it. The local garbage/recycling center is closed on Sundays, so make sure you plan for that. A lovely home.

A beautiful view of the magnificent NC mountains. Very updated and nice, yet comfortable. Great kitchen. Great view, yet not far from town. I had an issue with the king bed- too hard. A 3–inch topper would do wonders to make this a perfect stay. It was a blessing to us! Thank- you!

The property was beautiful. The views were gorgeous. The closest I'll get to heaven while I'm alive!

Everything about this property was nice. Great view, everything was clean and very well equipped for anything you need regarding cooking. Beds could’ve been better but we managed. Communication with the manager was good. The ride up the hill is interesting but not a problem as it is paved. Highly recommend going to the Everett hotel for dinner one night.

Beautiful views, nice comfortable home. Quiet and away from the craziness at Smoky Mountain Park Entrance. Only downside was ceiling fan in Master bedroom did not work.
4.8
Beautiful home with amazing deck and views. A little too cold in the mornings & nights to sit on the deck for very long, but the wall of windows made sitting in the living room almost as enjoyable. Since the home is still used by the owner (or so it appears), the kitchen has everything you could possibly want or need for your stay. Home was very clean and in good repair. Property manager was very responsive.
Bryson City and Dillsboro are great little towns with wonderful restaurants.
Due to the season, the train was not yet running to the Nantahala Gorge and outfitters for kayaking/rafting were not yet open, but there are still a number of beautiful hikes in the area and an easy day trip (1.5 hours) to Asheville to tour the Biltmore.

This home absolutely gorgeous and has spectacular views. Very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen has everything you could need. The drive up/down is not for the faint of heart, but my husband navigated it with no problem (Ford F150).
You can see the sunrise from the deck and sunset from the front porch! You can even hear the Tuskasegee River below.
Thank you for sharing you lovely home!

Sunrise from the deck! Sunset from the porch! Spectacular views!
This home is gorgeous, welcoming and very cozy. From the deck you can actually hear the Tuckasegee River below. Fully stocked kitchen + linens.
The road up/down is not for the faint of heart, however, my husband navigated with no problem (Ford F150).

Lovely home with a beautiful view. A short 15 minute drive to the Great Smokey Mountain Rail way.

This would have been 5 star, but when we arrived at 3:00 in the afternoon, the house was completely dark with all the curtains closed, not welcoming at all. We had to open up all the curtains and instead of looking at the gorgeous view we had a weeks plus worth of leaves on the back porch making us feel they forgot we were coming. Although I know that this is the season that the leaves are constantly falling, there is no way that the amount of leaves that was on the porch had just happened in a 24 hour period. We also had very minimal amount of towels and although they did not take a list of who was going to be there, the house does sleep eight, you would think that they would have enough decent looking towels on hand for at least that amount. I have stayed in numerous Airbnb and vrbo properties and have always entered into these homes and felt welcomed and that they genuinely appreciated our business, we did not feel that way with this property. Overall once we got past the initial unwelcoming feel we enjoyed our time very much and also enjoyed the view. Thanksgiving was wonderful and the fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook all our sides with ease. The area was quiet and the views were just gorgeous, the flat piece of yard in the back was great to pull a chair out and just take in the view.

The house was spotless, beautiful and easy to get to. We loved the quiet and the views, and the comfortable furnishings. We appreciated all the condiments, spices and coffee supplies available, although we didn’t use them. I will add the only downside is the water closet for the master is tiny. The commodes seemed unusually short and not built for tall people, and both my husband and myself are above average height. I think taking that door off the water closet would give so much more room and keep hips and shoulders from bumping the door handle. Other than that it was perfect.

It would have been nice to know that the bunk beds were for small children only. And the loft futon’s mattress is not meant for sleeping on. Because it’s so thin. As a result we had one of our guest take the couch. A portion of the back railing on the deck was broken and about took a tumble off of it. And there was broken glass in the dishwasher where I almost sliced my hand open. The kitchen lacked a little bit in such things as cake pan or baking dishes. One major issue was the trash drop off. We were threatened by a $50 charge if left behind, (no exceptions according to the instructions on the fridge) however the dump was closed. We ended up flagging down a Bryson Police officer and he was kind enough to take it off our hands and threw it in the PD’s trash receptacle. It was an okay experience but for the money, expected a little more.
