Initial issue with communication in German despite saying we were travelling from NZ.
We experienced travel delays due to world wide issue and had arranged transport from airport with friends however “host” insisted we take train as they weren’t prepared to offer late check in !!! She may need to review what host means and communication was just rude ! Spoilt stay. No aircon!

This flat is in a wonderful spot, in a neighborhood so close to everything. It was a great home base for our week stay. It’s quiet and comfortable and clean. The only downside was that the place has no a/c, which would normally be fine but we happened to be there during the hottest week of the summer. The fans helped, but it was really warm, especially for sleeping. The showers aren’t the greatest, especially if you’re tall, and there were very few towels provided. However the kitchen was very well appointed, they provided everything needed for the washer, dryer, and dishwasher, the flat is large, and the roof deck is lovely (I wish it hadn’t been so warm so we could have used it more). Our kids would want me to share that the tv is an older and smaller one (I didn’t mind!). All-in-all, one of the top VRBOs we’ve stayed in. Thank you!

Our family of four absolutely loved this VRBO. There was plenty of room to stretch out in this large rental, conveniently located right next to a large public playground, shopping, and restaurants. Even though we were so close to the center of town, we were removed enough when we needed a quiet night of rest, but close enough when we wanted to get out and explore.
The rental was clean, in fantastic condition, and the patio was a fantastic touch to get out and let the kids get some fresh air before it was time to go on another outdoor adventure. I hope to stay here every time we return to Heidelberg. Thanks Dr Martina! We look forward to our next trip.

The flat was perfect! and included a very large patio. Very clean and bright. Had everything we needed. We brought a 2 year old grandchild and they had things available for her. And it is right across from a playground, which was a big hit. Would highly suggest this flat to anyone.

What a beautiful property! Great location, within walking distance of many shops and cafes, in the heart of Old Town Heidelberg! Very comfortable, very clean, very nice, very quiet! Lovely roof-top deck which, sadly, we didn't use due to the ongoing rains. Dr. Martina is a lovely VRBO super host who was very easy to communicate with! What you see on the listing for this property is exactly what you get! Can and do strongly recommend this property if you're visiting Heidelberg for any length of time! You will love staying here!

Martina is a very responsive host and was very accommodating in giving us an early entry.
The apartment was very clean, comfortable and in an area, giving us easy access to the old town.
The beds were comfotable and the kitchen was well equipped.
This was a great find and if I visit Heidelberg in the future, I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.

We loved staying at Martina's Heidelberg apartment. The spacious apartment was beautifully furnished and stocked with everything needed. We came in on a Sunday when the markets were closed. Martina had placed water and orange juice in the frig and offered pasta with pesto we could make if we were hungry. The location was perfect. Not only did the street the apartment was on have several restaurants and other shops, but we were a short block walk to The Hauptstrasse (the main street in Old Town). We hope to return to Heidelberg and want to stay in this apartment!

This apartment is the perfect base of operations for your Heidelberg visit, we stayed there five nights, and did several day trips to surrounding towns. It is just a few steps off the main "strand" in Heidelberg, so there is easy access to shops, and it is a short walk to the university and Schloss. It is very cozy and has everything you need, and the hosts couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. I would give it 10 stars if I could. We will most definitely be back. Book it now; you will be glad you did.

We had an amazing stay in Heidelberg! From meeting us upon our arrival to tracking down a restaurant with my sons favorite Bavarian food (Rouladen); the thoughtfulness and effort to make our stay wonderful is something we will cherish for years to come. The flat is large, beautifully decorated, full of light and remarkably quiet. In the heart of the old town, it is ideally situated for ambling round the narrow adjacent streets and is in walking distance of all you will want to see We also did longer walks in the surprisingly empty forests. Only negative point: in the largest bedroom I found no way of blocking out the light on the smaller window. Nonetheless, it was one of the best places I have rented. And I mustn't forget the pleasure of relaxing on the terrace!

Unit is well situated. Walk to most every thing or a transportation hub. Especially nice to sit on deck in the evening. Very well kept and host very helpful. Quite with good beds. Only draw back is 2 flights of stairs. Very warm while we were there but fans kept it nice.

Great place--spatious, comfortable beds, lots of daylight coming in windows and skylights, and in **perfect** location to explore old Heidelberg! Very quiet despite city location, thanks to heavy walls, triple-pane windows (which open, for good ventilation), and location at back of building. Big sunny deck to hang out on. Communications with owner could not have been better. She answered all my questions well in advance, was at the appartment to answer questions and show us around when we checked in, and even scouted out some live choral/organ concerts for us to attend once she learned of our interest! This was truly a find, one my best rental experiences to date, and all four of us left very happy with our Heidelberg visit.

Our family enjoyed Christmas in this well-appointed flat. Hauptstraße and the Christmas markets were just steps away but the flat was very quiet. The hosts even put up a tree and other decorations. A wonderful holiday!

Perfect! Very spacious, clean space. Everything worked. Well stocked with amenities. Location was great for walking everywhere. Owner greeted us and explained use of heat, kitchen, garbage, etc. Also drove us to the parking garage with explanation of how to enter and exit. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Property is close to center of town and reasonably easy to access. Very comfortable accommodations for 6 adults. The public parking garage is very close and recommended over the space associated with the unit if you will be using your car during the visit. Excellent experience overall.

This house is classy, in a classy neighborhood, and located within walking distance of the river, the old town boulevards full of restaurants and shops, and the taxi station. The owner was super nice and communicated well. She met us at the property and walked us through it and gave us information - I really liked that. The property was super clean - one of the cleanest we've ever rented. The house is very tastefully decorated. There is a lovely rooftop patio. Only one small drawback - a microwave would have been helpful for heating up leftovers.

The perfect spot
This apartment is right where you want to be. Once you park, there's really no reason to drive anywhere again! The market, bakery, restaurants, playground etc. are all right out the door. The castle, philosophers way, plazas etc. are an easy walk from this spot. Couldn't have asked for better hosts! They were very patient and accommodating as our car broke down on our way to the city...and when we got turned around on the narrow streets! Danke!

Nice location but some problems
Problem with ants from the the deck area so we couldn't leave any food out. They were on the countertops & table. Top floor apartment so really hot with the heat wave. Couldn't leave door open due to ants which made it worse. Shower doors do not close so water gets everywhere when taking a shower. No real shades on the windows so sun will wake you up. Having only 2 sets of keys is a problem for larger group.

Outstanding apartment right in the historic area! Would not hesitate to rent again! Large 3 bedroom on top floor. Wonderful deck area off the living room. Modern but with historic charm. Really...could not ask for more! Great communication with the owners. Super helpful. Truly made our Germany vacation special!

Perfect spot and beautiful home
One cannot do better than this location in Heidelberg. We were surrounded by bakeries and restaurants and were only a few minutes away from the castle. This made traveling with older kids much easier as it gave us great flexibility in our plans. The home was spacious and comfortable and we loved having coffee on the patio while gazing up at the hills and listening to the springtime birdsong. I will also add that the WiFi was excellent—no complaints at all from our demanding teens. The hosts were gracious and helpful and left several good lists of tips. When we next return to Heidelberg we will absolutely try to stay here again!

Incredible Vacation Apartment
From the very start, Martina was a lovely host for our "long weekend" in Heidelberg. Her communication was stellar, both before and during our stay. In fact, when the Christmas markets were cancelled in Heidelberg, she proactively let us know about others within driving distance that were still operational. The entire apartment was perfect ... bedding, toiletries, etc. all ready and available. The kitchen (with dishwasher) was also nice to have, and Martina even left some drinks in the fridge for us on arrival. Bakeries close by. Restaurants within a short walk. The main shopping street steps away. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

This place is 5 star. No doubt. First Martina is an incredible host that answers all questions and who met us and answered all questions. Secondly the place felt like home. Well appointed. Cozy. Everything you need and more. It was like a hideaway TVs opened up to all that Heidelberg had to offer. My kids miss it! Thanks for a great stay Martina!

Family Christmas in Heidelberg
This property and location was perfect for our family with our 2 young adult children. We all met up at the apartment which was ideal for our needs. We were able to cook meals together in the kitchen, eat at the large dining room table and then walk out the door to the Christmas markets and pedestrian shopping walkway. The apartment is far lovelier than it appears in the photos and the building it is in is gracious and well maintained. The 3 bedrooms are down a long hall from the living area so sleepers are not disturbed by those staying up later. There is a Bluetooth sound system but almost no access to English tv so bring a computer and HDMI cord if you want to stream movies. We had a wonderful, memorable time. Martina and Christian even put up and decorated a Christmas tree for us before we arrived! Great hosts!
