About this bed and breakfast
rental of a comfortable country house, located in La Tranche sur Mer, 150 m from the central beach and the city center. Tastefully furnished, fireplace, large indoor swimming pool (90 m2, heated from April 1 to October 30). Beautiful courtyard with garden furniture and BBQ. 5 rooms, independent kitchen, laundry room, living room 25 m2, TV lounge, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room, 2 toilets, 3 bedrooms. This is a comfortable house a stones throw from both the town and the beach yet very peaceful. The appliances are modern the kitchen is better equipped than my kitchen at home! The beds are comfortable, the shutters make the rooms very dark and there is a decent shower. This house makes up one side of a courtyard, next door is the owners holiday home and opposite is the garage and pool room. We found the owners to be very friendly and helpful- I did have a lot of queries.
The beach is excellent for small children and the town is small and manageable yet there are plenty of cafes, ice cream shops and the market was substantial. Whilst there we hired paddle boards and hired bikes with a chariot for our small children.
There seem to be a few options for parking. We were keen to have secure parking and were able to park within the courtyard right at our door. The access is tight but doable.
We would definitely return to this house as it was an ideal holiday for small children. My only plea would be for a safety gate at the top of the stairs.

Everything about this place was great, the house is tucked away in a small maze of properties so feels cosy and quiet yet is only a few minutes from the main square and the shops and market. Also a few minutes from the main beach which is excellent. The house itself was perfect for us and is lovely, the photos do not do it justice. The best thing though is the heated indoor pool, way bigger than it looks in the photo, its perfect for cooling off and for those days when the weather isnt great for the beach. Our hosts were fantastic, there when we needed them but otherwise unobtrusive. The house is so well equpped, it has everything you might need, thanks for letting us share your amazing home!

Travelled with good friends to stay 10 days at this property. After visiting this area, Le Tranche and Le Terriere for over 37 years I kind of knew what to expect but I have say Anne Marie's home had the wow factor. The whole property together with the owners just oozes Vendeen qualities. The house was even better than the pictures portrayed - so many lovely features and everything needed to make your stay perfect. The outdoor space, the pool and ability to park on site in this tightly packed village are all bonuses.
Anne Marie and Michael's warmth and hospitality really made our holiday special.
The location makes it perfect if you do not have transport of your own as everything, and I mean everything, is just a stroll away - from sandy beaches to fantastic restaurants and fresh food shops - Paradise indeed.
After 37 years we have our own favourite beaches and places to relax - our friends found that out and could not believe how lucky we were to know about such a place.
Will we be back - who knows what or where the future holds but rest assured even if we are 100km away we will make time to return to say hello to Anne Marie and Michael.

Je recommande a 100%, la maison est propre, agreable, nous avons apprécié la piscine et les accès quasi direct au centre ville et a la plage. Pas besoin de voiture...que du bonheur ! Sans parler de l accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire qui est vraiment adorable, une belle rencontre, je ne peux que recommander cet endroit.

Super séjour ! Anne-Marie et son mari sont très accueillants et disponibles ! La maison est très fonctionnelle et très bien équipée ! Elle est située en plein centre, à côté de toutes commodités et à 200m de la plage. La piscine est très bien entretenue.

Très jolie location bien agencée.
Juste à noter que la douche du rdc contient un bac et n'est donc pas tres adaptée pour une personne invalide ne pouvant rester longtemps debout.
Piscine très agréable malgré la tempête qui a emporté une partie du dôme.
Un grand merci aux propriétaire pour leur accueil, leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité.

Une maison idéalement bien située, on fait tout à pied plage, centre ville, de belles balades à vélo.
La piscine est un vrai plus, toute la famille en a profité même mes parents de 85 ans.
On trouve tout dans cette maison, elle bien équipée, moi qui aime faire la cuisine, il y avait tout...

Anne-Marie et sa famille nous ont accueillis chaleureusement. La location est propre, conforme aux photos, calme, l'espace piscine est très agréable. Il y a tt ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner et Anne-Marie nous a donné de bons conseils concernant les commerces et l'excellente paella du marché ! Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour.

Très bon séjour chez Anne-Marie. La maison est confortable et la piscine est très grande et magnifique ! La piscine se trouve dans un bâtiment en face de la maison, de l'autre côté d'une cour dans laquelle vit une personne âgée très paisible, mais il y a pas mal de passage dans la cour.
La station de la Tranche-sur-Mer est très animée. Le club nautique est génial !

La maison très bien équipée, est située en centre ville, ce qui la rend proche de toutes les commodités.
Nous avons apprécié le fait de ne pas utiliser la voiture, y compris pour les courses.
Bravo à la ville de la Tranche sur mer de proposer des navettes gratuites assez fréquentes en juillet aout pour faciliter les déplacement d'un quartier à l'autre.
La piscine est tout simplement topissime pour se rafraichir après des belles journées de balades.

Un maison propre et très bien équipée. Piscine chauffée couverte très agréable sans vis à vis. Proche mer et centre ville.

Perfect location for a family holiday
We have just returned from a family holiday (3 generations) at this lovely house in La Tranche sur Mer. It really is 5 minutes walk to the beach, the town and a great sea food restaurant. Our hosts, Anne-Marie and Jean Michael were very welcoming and made sure we had everything for our stay. The kids especially loved the swimming pool, which is clean, warm, much larger than it looks in the picture and well equipped with floats, inflatables and an adjoining relaxation area with sun loungers and hammock. The house is large enough to give everyone space and is decorated in French country house style.
We would definitely book this house again.

Excellent combination of a nice house with a wonderful swimming pool at the centre of La Tranche. The house has a homey feeling to it, the kitchen is fully equipped and we made full use of the available herbs. The two bathrooms came in handy. The swimming pool is a real plus, especially when one has 2 days of bad weather like we did.
Location is fantastic, right in the centre with the bakery and supermarket within 2min walking distance. You receive a card for the parking that works in all parking places so if the one close to the house is full, simply choose another parking location. The distances are small anyway.
Owners are very friendly and answer your every question.

We really loved our stay here. Jean Michele and Anne Marie where very welcoming and anytime we had a slight issue, they sorted it out straight away.
The courtyard is shared with their mothers house, but we never saw her and it felt very private. The pool is opposite, across the courtyard and is a great pool. Very private and great fun for the kids. They loved it. Anne Marie has plenty of noddles, floats, googles for the children to use. So there was no need to bring our own.
The villa was very confortable and spacious. There are only 2 bedrooms up stairs, so we moved the single mattress from downstairs up into the second bedroom so our two children could share the room, they are not old enough to be downstairs by themselves.
The location of the villa is excellent. Only 5 mins walk to the amazing beach and about 3 mins walk to the local bakers, market and town square!
Free parking is opposite the surf shop and you are given a pass by Jean Michele. We only used the car 3 times during our stay, so our car was very safe in the secure car park.
Would highly recommend staying here. 👍
