About this house rental
Come and stay at The Salty Bach. A great family home or couple's retreat. Relax in the hot spa or romantic claw foot bath, chill on the deck or cook some nourishing meals and enjoy a wine.
Step out of your busy life and catch up on those movies with WIFi provided or old school board games! You can also bring your own game console to use with the tv in the third bedroom.
Take a 5-minute walk down to the Wharf for fresh and chips off the boat or take a sunset cruise.
Walk 15 minutes into town and experience the vibrant boutiques, awesome cafes and local vibe - don't forget the coffee at Raglan Roast!
Take a hike up Mt Karioi, yes you will get muddy! The lookout at Te Toto Gorge at sunset is also well worth the drive!
Only five minutes drive out to the famous surf breaks - Ngarunui Beach, Manu Bay or Whale Bay.
Ulo's is the best place for dinner :)

Loved our stay here. We could easily walk to town and the house was nice and warm. The house had a well stocked kitchen should we have needed it. Lovely linen through-out the house. We really appreciated the owner leaving the heating on so the house was warm when we arrived - really kind.

We loved staying at this bach, it was the perfect size and very well set up with a number of areas to hang out in and a really well set up kitchen (dishwasher and microwave = amazing!) Would definitely recommend for your next visit, thanks for making it so easy and comfy.

We loved the cozy beach cottage! The house was so well equipped with everything we needed and more! Clean, cozy and so comfortable, and the spa was such a treat. This will definitely be our go-to getaway rental in the future. We felt right at home.

We loved our stay. My elderly father, Aunt, Uncle and I found that the accomodation was perfect for us. It was important that access was easy, with no stair access. The facilities were excellent as was the communication with Emma. Thank you so much for making everything so welcoming and so easy!

Perfect relaxing beach house
Absolutly loved our stay at this beautiful charming beach house! Plenty of space to cook, relax and unwind. The spa and endless supply of board games are an added treat. Only wish there was some basic cleaning supplies to tidy up with but the house was in an excellent state upon arrival.

Amazing stay at the salty bach
The salty Bach was an amazing place to get away for the weekend. Cosy, homely environment complete with a fireplace and a spa! There was everything that we needed there and Emma was super hospitable and friendly. Lovely touch of being left flowers and chocolate. Thanks so much Emma!! Would definitely stay here again 😊

Lovely Stay - Great place
We had such a lovely stay here - it has a nice fire, lots of toys and books for our kids (and us), a very well stocked kitchen and a lot of character. Very comfortable, plenty of space - and looks even better than in the photos! We will definitely come back again.

Summer in Raglan
We loved staying in Raglan over the summer. It was far busier than we expected - if you want fish and chips on the pier go really early or really late. While you wait wonder down over the rocks near the boat ramp.
The estuary accessible in the street across the road from the house is breathtaking - the rolling farmland around it, and the beautiful clear calm water a delight for children.
It’s not far to walk into town from the house.
The house was very comfortable, including have books for the kids and games too. The main bedroom has a lovely balcony with French doors we left open all night ( no sandflies).
It’s a relaxed house for a large family, with a huge bath, and kitchen equiped even for baking (if you so choose to spend your holidays) though the oven smoked for a few days when used.
The garden wasn’t as extensive as I’d expected but the kids ran round and round playing hide and seek.
The dining options were lovely - inside or out, but the outside benches we scary, especially when the kids fell off - the timber had warped and was wobbly.
