Though the location is more rural, the views are spectacular, and the property is located on the main channel of the lake which lends itself to all the water activities you can imagine. The boat dock with its double deck and horse shoes and a fire pit on the shore allow for hours of outdoor entertainment. Though the watercraft that is there is not available for use, you can tie your watercraft on the dock during your stay. Local boat ramp information is available upon request.

we had a pleasant stay. my husband enjoyed fishing. the house needs a little updating, but otherwise it was clean and spacious. we spoke to the manager about a couple of issues we had and she was going to take care of them and lucky it was just the 2 of us so we managed. overall it was fine

This beautiful property and house was perfect for us to get our families together before summer ends. The dock is not setup for fishing but we brought all the needs and were able to enjoy fishing all weekend long. The kids loved swimming off the dock. Everyone just had an amazing time.

Owner was very responsible to questions. Home was clean and comfortable. Outdoor patio was very spacious and shaded from the afternoon sun. Boat dock had a nice area with table underneath, plus the upstairs deck. Water level was 4-1/2 to 5-1/2' around the dock, so perfect for boat access and swimming. We'll definitely stay again.

This is a great property for a family rental and it’s near the DFW area. We stayed in, played games and visited and enjoyed lots of good food. . We took one drive around the lake to view other properties. It was a rainy weekend forecast, but Saturday was nice weather so we got to enjoy the spacious porch and view of the lake. Our questions to the host were quickly answered.

My family and I had a weekend Thanksgiving reunion and enjoyed our stay very much! We loved the view, spending time in the backyard grilling out and in the living area when it got cold out. Had a small issue with heat in the master, host was quick to respond and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here for a large group!

We had a great trip at this VRBO. The view from this property is perfect as you get sunrise and sunset views and you have shade throughout the entire day. Morgan, the property manager, was great to work with and she checked in on us several times to make sure things were going well! I would definitely rent the kayaks and splash pad. My kids loved both. Thank you!!!

Perfect spot on the lake and we enjoyed sitting on the two story dock in the evenings. Highly recommend getting the splash pad and kayak. Would absolutely be back next year.

Perfect lake house for a summer getaway. Spectacular views especially from the boat deck. Dip into the lake right at the backyard. Nice backyard equipped with gas grill for great cookout.

Great house on the lake
Rented this house for a belated Father’s Day weekend. The location on the lake is second to none overlooking the main lake area. The house being located near tool and Trinidad gives options if people need things. The house has a nice backyard patio where we spent most of the time while not in the lake.

Wisdom seeking moments for my 29 and 42 year old nieces!
We really enjoyed staying in your lake home. Upon arrival there were issues with the water flowing out of the kitchen sink, but Doug was there in no time to fix it. Management was great and helpful.
Both of my nieces are newly married and both are in the educational field. They wanted a place to relax, play card games and fish while creating precious new memories and gleaming wisdom from aunts and mother. This lake house was the great place to do just that. The house inside is very spacious and the patio is awesome. The view from the inside over looking the lake is so peaceful. We took pictures of the moon coming up over the lake, simply beautiful! The sun rise was beautiful also. The pictures from website are spot on. Great place to stay and get some rest!

Morgan Saved the Day!
We have originally book a different house for our spring break. It was horrible and I left. Morgan was able to get me in to this house same-day with only a few hours to get it ready. We loved this house! It was clean, had all the amenities we could need and view worth a million dollars! Morgan was great to communicate with and made sure we were happy. I definitely would stay there again.

The property was very clean. We absolutely enjoyed our time there. The view is beautiful and the house had everything to accommodate. We will definitely return. The only comment of needing a change is the master mattress is very uncomfortable. Thank you for sharing your home.

Great stay on the lake!
This was our first time to visit CCL and I must say we enjoyed it very much. The small towns around the lake are all very nice to visit. The lake itself is very nice.
Regarding the property itself, we were pleased. The house had plenty of room and was in good condition and clean when we arrived. Though it was only the 4 of us, you could easily have many more and plenty of space. The property was as expected based on its description and everthing worked well. We did some fishing off of the dock, without much luck, we caught several SMALL catfish, but that was about it. I believe this is more about the time of the year moreso than the property itself. I must mention, there was a family of skunks that visited every night, they were not much of a bother, but if you have a fear of that sort of thing, think about that, they came through the yard every night. This is more so about the area, more so than the property. If you are going to visit the country, then you have to be ready for some critters to show up as well. Also, the bed in the master bedroom is quite firm, not saying it is bad, but it is firm which was not what we were used to. Overall, it was quite usable, but it is definitely firm.
I would also like to mention Morgan. Though I did not really need any help with anything, Morgan had messaged me a couple of times just to ensure that I had what I needed and did not have any issues. So I felt comfortable that if I did need any assistance I would have received it. Thanks so much Morgan!
All and all, we would deefinitaly stay here again. Nice place on a nice lake at a nice price/vaue.

The house was extremely clean and the location was beautiful.
The enormous yard and the patio were not maintained . When we arrived it took an hour to sweep the patio. The furniture is worn out and needs to be replaced. We spent the majority of our outdoor time on the dock, however it had a spider infestation that could be addressed. Also the ceiling fan was broken. If these items would be addressed it would be an outstanding vacation rental.

Long weekend getaway for the Summer vacation July 2021
Morgan was very helpful and responded quickly when contacted. We stayed 5 days. We had 10 in our group plus two dogs. We had a little bit of difficulty with the front yard gate. The house has been updated and was clean. Kudos to housekeeping. Everything they supplied was stocked along with some extra items in the kitchen pantry. Everything worked in the kitchen. The dishwasher worked fine. The Internet and Direct TV worked fine. The large couch was great for entertaining a large group. The A/C worked good. The weather was really good during our stay. It sprinkled/rained a couple of times during the day but mostly overnight.
The covered patio on the back of the house was great. One of the fans was broken (Morgan did tell me). The BBQ grill worked good. The yard was maintained. The fenced yard was nice for the dogs. We had very little pests at the house but did encounter lots of spiders each morning (I guess that's expected and they do help with the bugs) at the dock. There are wasps living under the stairs (one of our dogs did get stung twice trying to protect one of the kids, but she was fine).
The dock was a really cool and fun for entertainment. There are some deck boards that should be replaced along with repairing the red bench. The fan didn’t work above the swing. The swing was fun and really enjoyable. The upstairs balcony was great with the table and chairs. We had lunch up there several times and great for laying down and checking out the stars at night. The water in and around the dock is shallow which was great for our group. We did buy swim shoes for the lake. One of our kids (forgot to wear them) stepped on something sharp (not sure what it was) and cut the heel of his foot. Out of an abundance of caution we took him to the urgent care because it looked deep but turned out it was mostly a superficial cut. He got a tetanus shot out of it. We brought our own flotation devices. One of our floatation's got away from us and the neighbor two houses (to the west) saw what was happening and offered to retrieve it for us with his jet ski. That was really nice of him.
One afternoon we had ice cream at Braums which was a treat. We also found a disc golf course in Athens at Cain Park which was fun for the family to get out and enjoy nature. We ended the day with great pizza at Roma’s Italian restaurant.
Overall, we had an enjoyable time with our family. The neighborhood was quiet. Thanks for the wonderful vacation.

Birthday/Father's Day Getaway
We had a nice time for our weekend of celebration with the family. The house was spacious and accommodated all our sleeping needs. The beds were comfortable, showers were great and the house stayed very cool The double-decker dock was nice for fishing. The host was quick to respond and answered all my questions.
There were some issues, however, that I feel the next person should know.
There was a ceiling fan on the dock; however, the blades were missing. In the Texas heat, it sure would have been nice to have it going. The yard was spacious, however, there were 2 big dead limbs covering the sidewalk out to the dock that we had to move ourselves. We were pretty disappointed in the kitchen since we had also planned on cooking inside, however there were many essential cooking items missing.
There is a grill outside that we did use and it worked just fine.

Great stay
Great house, plenty of room and I only had to call PM 2 times. Once for the door code (she sent it to me but I lost it) and once the power went out (Oncor issue). Our property manager responded immediately. She was great and so was the home 😊

The property was nice, few maintenance issues. Front door know sticks sometimes and couple ceiling fans don't work. Big issue was the hot water heater in laundry room, not wired to code.

Enjoyable stay
We enjoyed staying at the property while our floors were being replaced at our home. It was clean and well maintained. We would have like to have had a lighter to light the grill. Some measuring cups would have been nice too. Even though these items were missing, we were able to make do. The beds had nice sheets and blankets, but were a little uncomfortable. I could feel the mattress springs in the master; however my bed at home has the same issue. We loved the covered patio. We would stay there again.

Feels like home!!!
Very nice property. The kids loved the lake even though they couldn't get in to swim. Very roomy and plenty of space for everyone. They have everything there towels, lighters, shampoo, everything you need in a kitchen, and big master bathroom.
