house of character in a large flower garden at the foot of an oak tree of five centuries to fully recharge your batteries.
View of wooded hills 50 meters away where there are mountain bike trails and routes for horse riding or walking.
Gaillac cellars and vineyards near the house.
Summer music and theater festival in Cordes, Vaour, Gaillac.
Many activities during the summer (classical music, jazz, musette or Latin concerts every Friday next to the Abbey Museum in Gaillac with buffet dinner, plays at the cabannes theater, organ concert every Sunday at Albi Cathedral, castles, abbeys, famous cellars, night markets with regional products.
Sale of 'eco-friendly' vegetables every morning at very reasonable prices by Mr Michel veysse, passionate about his profession, (2 km from the gîte)

The entrance to the house is independent, we give you the keys when you arrive after having a good drink together!

The ground floor opens onto a large room which is divided into a living room, dining area and a new well-equipped kitchen with lots of utensils and lots of dishes to facilitate the preparation of your meals.
A staircase but without barrier to prevent access leads to the second floor where the two bedrooms are located, the bedding is excellent.

Our stay was a pleasant surprise. I booked an apartment in the centre of Cordes-sur-Ciel, but after the first downpayment, I received a remorseful message that the location had been misplaced on the site. The apartment was situated in Itzac, in the countryside not in Cordes. The pictures on the site we’re genuine fields and countryside- when I booked I just imagined Cordes a lot smaller than it realistically was. The hostess was very friendly. She offered us vegetables from her garden, communication was a bit difficult, her English was a good as my French, but we could communicate the essentials. In small advice I’d like to offer is to install WiFi. This seems out of spirit, but all communication with the outside world is nowadays done by internet. No more yellowpages. We had to improvise, plan next days while away, instead of calmly while having breakfast. Also I advise to have musquitonets available. We were assaulted and had to sleep windows closed. Nevertheless, it was a very satisfying and enriching experience. I’d love to come back someday.

Belle demeure dans une région superbe au patrimoine enchanteur, un magnifique séjour et deux hôtesses d'exception. Nous y retournerons !

Cette location a tenu toutes ses promesses: l'endroit est isolé et vraiment très calme, le chêne est magnifique et offre une ombre rafraichissante, le jardin est très fleuri et agréable. La région est riche en découvertes: visite des bastides et villes environnantes, dégustation de Gaillac, baignade dans les gorges de l'Aveyron, balades dans la foret de Gresigne (attention au taons en plein mois d'aout !)... Les propriétaires, qui vivent à coté, sont tres accueillants et pleins d'attentions envers leurs hotes (petits bouquets odorants dans la maison, une bouteille de rosée au frais, et de delicieuses prunes dont nous nous sommes regalés) tout en se faisant très discrets. Enfin, la maison en elle même est très bien équipée, et demeure bien au frais même pendant les chaudes journées d'aout.
