This was our second stay in La Pigouille and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is in a great location, only a short walk from the village square of La Noue where you can find a bakery, cheese shop, fishmonger as well as a couple of restaurants. There’s also a daily market on the square. At the same time, it’s only a short walk to the beach.
La Piqouille is spotlessly clean and lovingly decorated. We immediately felt at home when we returned.
Communication with the owner Béatrice is exemplary.
In brief, La Pigouille is a great and comforatble base to explore the natural beauty of the Ile de Ré.

We had a lovely holiday. The house is extremely nicely decorated and well-equipped, with everything that you would need, including four very comfortable bikes. The location of the house is excellent. There are three boulangeries within a short walk or cycle and three lovely restaurants within a short walk, in the town square. You may need to book! The daily market has a good selection of produce and the fromagerie was a favourite of ours.
The house is very close to a cycle path. We cycled to Le Gros Jonc several times. My husband and children hired catamarans and stand-up paddle boards. We travelled with an older relative, who caught the free bus from the village and joined us in the other villages. Saint Martin and La Flotte were also within reach on the bikes. There are also regular buses to La Rochelle and we spent a lovely day there.

Ein wunderschönes Haus, das ganz toll eingerichtet ist, mit viel Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail, wie wir es noch nie in einem gemieteten Haus vorgefunden haben.
Für uns war es der erste Besuch auf der Insel, aber sicher nicht der letzte, und dann auf jeden Fall wieder bei Béatrice. Sie ist sehr bemüht, die Kommunikation ist unkompliziert, alles was man sich für einen Urlaub wünscht.
Könnte ich einen weiteren Stern vergeben, wurde ich es ohne zu zögern tun.

Un très beau séjour dans une résidence avec beaucoup de charme et de confort. Une agréable terrasse/jardin planté de quelques plants aromatiques.Très bon emplacement proche des commerces et de la mer au calme dans le pur esprit de l'île de Ré. Rien ne manque au niveau des équipements ménagers et autres. Bravo pour les vélos qui font gagner du temps.

Ideale Herberge
Wir ( 6köpfige Familie ) haben bereits eine Vielzahl von Ferien - Wohnungen / - Häusern gemietet. Diese Herberge in Sainte Marie de Ré topt alles, was wir bisher kennenlernen durften. Von der liebevollen Einrichtung, in der man sich unmittelbar heimisch-wohl fühlt über die inklusive verfügbaren vier Fahrräder ( in Top - Zustand ) bis zu der idealen Lage ( Strand + Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind keine 5 Fahrradminuten entfernt ), konnten wir an diesem Ferienhaus keinen Makel erkennen.

Wir hatten uns schon anhand der Bilder im Internet in dieses wunderschöne Feriendomizil verliebt und wir sind nicht enttäuscht worden! Das ausgezeichnet ausgestattete und überaus geschmackvoll eingerichtete Haus war der perfekte Wohlfühlort für uns während unseres Urlaubs auf der Ile de Ré. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und sind sehr dankbar, dass die Kommunikation mit Béatrice und Thomas so gut geklappt hat und wir alles Wichtige auf Englisch regeln konnten.

Wundervoll eingerichtetes Haus
Wunderschönes Haus mit allem was man so braucht und noch mehr. Die zur Verfügung gestellten Fahrräder sind sehr praktisch und in einem guten Zustand. Lediglich die Parksituation ist schwierig, aber das ist auf der ganzen Insel so.
Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch der Ile de Re gerne wieder.

Ferientraum und Ruheoase
Trotz Corona-Zeit haben wir in diesem wundervollen Haus einen äußerst entspannten Urlaub erlebt! Bestens ausgestattet und mit viel Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, hat es uns an NICHTS gefehlt. Das haben wir in den vielen bisher bereisten Ferienhäusern noch nie erlebt. Man sieht, dass die Familie Thiry hier selbst Urlaub macht. Auch die Korrespondenz im Vorfeld mit Madame Thiry war unkompliziert, äußerst freundlich und sympathisch. Wir wurden bei unserer Anreise von Thomas bereits erwartet - er ist der neue Servicemann für das Haus und hat sich auch während unseres Aufenthaltes sehr engagiert. Toll der Gartenbereich mit überdachter Sitzecke, großem Tisch und Grillmöglichkeit - einzig dem Loungebereich fehlte der Sonnenschutz. Die 4 Fahrräder waren perfekt, um die Insel ohne PKW zu erkunden oder um morgens schnell Croissants zu holen. Die absolute Ruhe, Aufwachen mit der Morgensonne, der tolle Sternenhimmel, das Meeresrauschen, die kurzen Wege zum Einkaufen im Örtchen - das ist Erholung pur. Irgendwann werden wir wieder kommen!

Superbe maison avec jardin confortable
Il y a tout dans cette maison : déco , confort , propreté . On s’y sent bien tout de suite . Le jardin est très agréable avec ses grands canapés d’angle , le petit déjeuner au soleil le matin est un vrai bonheur .
Au moindre soucis le gérant intervient très rapidement (notre parasol’ ne tenait plus ouvert , il a été chez changé immédiatement).
L’accueil et le départ se fait font de façon très agréable avec une personne très sympathique.
Commerces au bout de la rue à 5mn et de belles plages sauvages à 10mn en vélo .
Nous reviendrons avec un immense plaisir 😍.

Très bien accueillis, nous avons découvert une jolie maison, propre, spacieuse, conforme à la description.
Bien située, même si Sainte-Marie est, à cette période en tout cas, un peu moins « vivante » que ces voisins Saint-Martin ou la Flotte (mais nous recherchions le calme).
Le prêt des vélos est un vrai plus.

Bien située, calme, parfaitement rénovée , équipée (bonne literie) et très propre, cette maison à tout à fait répondu à nos attentes avec en sus une propriétaire agréable et réactive et un service de conciergerie sur place en option. Le seul bémol la cheminée tire mal, surtout par temps venteux. Mais l'ensemble mérite 5 étoiles quand même !

Das Ferienhaus ist eines der schönsten Häuser, in denen wir je Urlaub gemacht haben. Liebevoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Sogar 4 Fahrräder stehen für Ausflüge zur Verfügung. Ein Highlight des Hauses ist der Garten mit Grill, großem Esstisch, gemütlicher Lounge und überdachter Sitzecke. Für uns war er zentraler Mittelpunkt zum Spielen, Essen, Grillen, Lesen..

A beautiful house on a lovely island.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely, well-equipped and attractively decorated house. It has all you need for comfort and relaxation. Its position is excellent for exploring the island and riding the bikes provided. A good boulangerie and restaurant/bars are within walking distance, as are some wonderful beaches. We particularly enjoyed our trips to Saint Martin, but there is plenty of competition in terms of charming places to visit. La Rochelle is well worth seeing too - the Aquarium is very interesting. We are very keen to return!

Wir haben bisher sicher deutlich über zwanzig Ferienhäuser in Frankreich gemietet und dieses gehört zu den schönsten, die wir hatten. Man merkt, dass das Haus auch von den Besitzern selbst genutzt wird. Sehr durchdachte und hochwertige Ausstattung, uns fehlte es an nichts. Besonders hervorzuheben: vier gute Fahrräder.
