About this house rental
In a typical setting of the Provençal countryside, close to the village of Salernes, large charming house aspiring to calm, among olive trees, fruit trees and long cypresses of Florence. Terrace garden in oleanders and lavenders, beautiful exposure, view on the hill without any vis-à-vis, pleasant "corners" to rest along the pool or near the fountain.
The house offers all the comforts.
Large living room with fireplace, leather sofas and armchairs, dining area that can accommodate 8 people.
Authentic cuisine with all facilities, La Cornue stove and a small annex kitchen.
Covered terrace for lunch and a large table on the terrace under the mulberry trees for dinner in the evening.

We loved it! Coming from Canada I was worried but it was all fantastic! The pool and gardens were perfect! Lots of room in the house. We spent most of the time outside but we did use the oven and stove regularly. We would love to come back again. Hosts were very friendly, we called on her more than once for a few small things, like needles for slivers. Felt very safe, close to Salerne for groceries. Thank you Michelle and Bernadette!

This is a delightful property with heaps of character. 4 good sized double rooms, 2 bathrooms and two toilets. It has a large loving space which you just can’t see from the pictures. Plenty of art and fun things dotted around too.
The pool is a great size and we spent quite a lot of time here. It could do with an outside shower area though to wash off quickly. We had a very relaxing stay for a week.
A couple of comments though is that the directions to the actual property are almost non existent and we needed the owner to come and guide us there.
Facilities were great. The over is a little tricky but once figured out worked well. The large fridge freezer with ice maker was very welcome in the 32c heat!
The local vial age has some great bakeries and a super market very close by (by car). There are also loads of vineyards not far away as well as other villages to visit if you wish but we mostly just chilled out with the kids.
The owners were super responsive to questions, which helped make the stay smooth. Thank you!

A Perfect Holiday
In a beautiful house which was so obviously built with tremendous thought and care, and with a pool to match, you have everything you need for a perfect family holiday. Ideally situated to visit glorious Provencal villages or further afield to Nice or Cannes, and then return again to peace and privacy.
The house is located about a five-minute drive from Salernes, and as is usual in the area there’s a short stretch of track leading up to it. Once the gates on the property close it’s very secluded and private, and the range of different spaces available to guests, both indoors and out, is exceptional. The ten-metre pool is perfect for both lounging in and swimming lengths, and the terraced garden is delightful. Surrounded by trees, it’s great to lie by the pool in the evening and watch birds overhead with a glass of wine in hand. For stargazers the night sky is very dark and the seeing is excellent.
We hope to visit again and thoroughly recommend this magical haven!

Traumhaftes Objekt mit allen Annehmlichkeiten in ruhiger Lage
Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir herzlich durch Bernadette in Empfang genommen und uns wurde alles gezeigt. Die liebevolle Einrichtung und der Stil haben uns wirklich überzeugt. Es war alles vorhanden: Internet, 3 Bäder, ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer, Daunendecken (für die Frostbeulen) und viele liebevolle Details. Der Garten und der Pool waren in einem tollen Zustand und es sah bei unsere Ankunft aus, als wenn erst kurz vorher alles vorbereitet wurde und man nur auf uns wartet. Bernadette und Ihr Mann haben sich dort ein kleines Paradies geschaffen. Die Kommunikation erfolgt ausschließlich auf Französisch. Salernes ist ein kleines romantisches Nest mit einem, von Platanen gesäumten Marktplatz, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Es gibt einen tollen Bioladen, gute Restaurants und kleine Töpferläden und einen Intermarche alles in einem Radius von 3 km zur Unterkunft.

En arrivant, Bernadette nous a montré toute la maison. L'établissement était super jolie. Il y avait tous qu'on a besoin dans la maison.
Le jardin et la piscine étaient dans un très bon état. Bernadette et son marie ont un petit paradis la.

Recht gemischt
Das Haus ist innen soweit ok, hat französischen Charme ist sehr reichhaltig ausgestattet (Geschirr, Küchenutensilien) und entspricht soweit dem Inserat.
Die Bilder des Grundstücks allerdings erwecken den Eindruck eines insgesamt gepflegten Anwesens, was schlicht falsch ist.
In der Zufahrt sowie auf dem gesamten Grundstück verteilt stehen diverse offenbar seit langer Zeit nicht genutzte Materialien eines Bauunternehmens, alte Fenster, Ziegel, Latten etc.
Auf dem Grundstück existieren Nebengebäude, in verwahrlostem Zustand (gebrauchtes Geschirr, alte Klamotten liegen herum...).
Ansonsten am Haus der Rasen seit Wochen nicht mehr gemäht, Unkraut allerorten, Terrasse nicht einmal gekehrt viele Blumenkübel mit vertrockneten Pflanzen, zum Pool gehörige Becken leer und ungepflegt und und...
Insgesamt nicht dem entsprechend, was durch die Bilder suggeriert wurde (gerne auch einige Photos, in diesem Formular leider nicht vorgesehen), und damit zu teuer - eine Rückerstattung eines Teilbetrags wäre fair und eigentlich angebracht.

Bel intérieur mais extérieur pas à la hauteur de la prestation ni de la photo
La maison est géniale, très bel espace, très bien aménagée, idéal pour y aller en famille avec des enfants en couple, espace du haut pour les enfants , espace nuit en bas pour les parents. En revanche l extérieur n était pas à la hauteur de ce qui apparaissait sur les photos : les abords sont encombrés de matériaux , les façades sont un peu noircis à certains endroits , les espaces verts ne sont pas entretenus , les fleurs étaient toutes mortes , des mauvaises herbes apparaissaient sur les ACCES pour aller à la piscine , la cascade et els autres bassins ne fonctionnaient pas et étaient vide … dommage car cette maison est magnifique et à tout ce qu il faut pour passer d agréables vacances , ce qui a malgré ce commentaire sur l extérieur tout à fait le cas !!
Je le signale juste pour l extérieur car ce n est vraiment pas comme sur la photo, pour l intérieur c est parfait et même mieux que les photos !

Des vacances inoubliables
Quelle magnifique maison ! Belle, conviviale, pratique… les extérieurs sont incroyables, avec une magnifique terrasse, donnant sur un champ d’oliviers et une piscine 4* ! Nous y avons passé de très bons moments en famille : il est rare que nous profitions autant de nos locations, et celle-ci est juste exceptionnelle !!
Et plus que la maison, nous garderons le souvenir chaleureux de l’accueil et de la gentillesse de Bernadette et Michel ; aucun doute, nous reviendrons !!

Idéal pour des vacances en famille
Nous avons passé deux semaines merveilleuses dans la maison. La maison est très spacieuse, avec beaucoup d'intimité, bien équipée et meublée avec une grande attention aux détails. Il y a même assez d'espace pour huit personnes. Le grand jardin et la piscine rendent les vacances parfaites. De plus, l'emplacement est un point de départ idéal pour explorer la Provence et la Côte d'Azur. Bernadette est une hôte formidable, même si nous parlons très peu français.
Merci, le long voyage depuis Hambourg en valait la peine !

Excellent séjour
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans la maison de Bernadette et Michel. La maison est très ample (encore plus qu'on pourrait croire sur base des photos), impeccablement propre et bien meublée. Il n'y manque absolument de rien. Grand atout: la maison garde bien sa fraîcheur, aussi pendant des périodes plus chaudes.
Le jardin est également très grand et bien entretenu. Piscine très propre et grande.
L'accueil et la disponibilité des propriétaires sont exceptionnels. Ils vivent à proximité mais sont extrêmement discrets. Un petit soucis avec le BBQ a été résolu très rapidement et Bernadette a sauvé notre dîner quand la bouteille de gaz était vide et nous (très maladroits) n'étions pas capable de connecter une nouvelle.
Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Die Küche ist groß und sehr umfangreich ausgestattet.
Es ist außerdem alles sehr sauber!
Der Garten ist wunderschön und uneinsichtig. Es gibt Platz in der Sonne und im Schatten, je nach Belieben. Auch sind ausreichend Liegen vorhanden.
Der große Pool ist ein Traum!
Wir haben uns verliebt und kommen sicher wieder!

Il n'y a rien à redire . Bernadette et Michel sont des propriétaires adorables comme on en rencontre plus. Les discussions avec Bernadette ont été plus qu'enrichissantes on partage des expériences et on se confie un peu comme si nous étions en famille . Ils sont près de la maison mais tellement discrets. La maison est époustouflante nous étions sans voix. Michel a tout fait de ses mains le travail est remarquable et tellement agréable à vivre. Il y a plus que le nécessaires et 3 chambres à l etage plus une suite parentale avec salle de bain privée le rêve ! L'extérieur est tout ce que nous recherchions pour de la détente entre amis : barbecue, table de ping-pong, piscine, transat et nous voilà reposés. Vous n'avez plus envie de partir et surtout ils prennent soin de leur maison alors vous avez envie de leur rendre encore plus . Nous avons eu un coup de cœur pour eux, mais aussi pour la maison . A bientôt nous reviendrons .

Juste parfait
Nous avons passé une semaine chez Bernadette et Michel. La maison est sublime. Une grande cuisine avec tout le matériel nécessaire. 4 grandes chambres dont un étage entier ( 3 chambres, la Sdb et toilettes) ainsi qu.une suite parentale au rez-de-chaussée.
L’exterieur est fantastique, la piscine devient vite notre espace préféré.

Un petit coin de paradis
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! La maison et ses extérieurs sont magnifiques, Bernadette est très accueillante et discrète.
Les lits sont faits à notre arrivée, quel bonheur quand on a fait 11h de route !
Pas de vis à vis, et la maison est très bien équipée !
A 35 min des gorges du Verdon et du lac qui sont absolument à voir, tout comme la cascade de Sillans à 10 min.
Je recommande sans soucis !

We spent 10 days in this in this gorgeous villa in the most beautiful area of France, just half an hour's drive from Lac de Croix and Gorge du Verdon and an hour from the south coast. There was just me and my partner and our dog but the villa is plenty big enough for four couples or three couples with children. There are two bathrooms with two separate toilets. The four double bedrooms are small but adequate but the living space is fantastic. There is a dining table in the main living area, another in the kitchen, one in the conservatory and another on the patio. The gardens and pool are superb and easily big enough for 10 people, ridiculously large for a couple and their dog. You are a few minutes drive from a big supermarket and an excellent and reasonably priced pizzeria called Tutti Quanti. There is also in the same location an artisan bakery that along with excellent bread makes cakes and pastries to die for. The owners, Mr and Mrs Lardos are very friendly and helpful. Their english is limited and so is our French but with a little effort and patience on both sides we were able to communicate. We will definitely return.
