Welcome to your new beach vacation retreat where you can soak up the soak and relax on the deck with views of the beach.
Moondancer is a wonderful retreat for families with ample of space and lots to do.
The living area is a large and open with views out to the beach. The entry way has a game table, where you and your friends and family can gather and either play one of the games the owners have provided, or play one you have brought yourself. Located just to the side is the half bath, which is tucked under the stairs to the second level.
The living room has access to the deck where you can sit and relax watching the beautiful Surfside sunrises and sunsets with hot cup of coffee . Choose from Netflix or Amazon Prime for a relaxing night in with dinner and a movie. The dining room has a large custom made table which seats ten comfortably. There is a modern fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook at home.
There are 4 bedrooms, the Main bedroom being downstairs with a King sized bed, beyond that there is a retreat, which is used as the 4th bedroom which has a pyramid bunk twin over full bed. The retreat can be closed off with sliding doors and has an alternate access from the door that is located off the dining room.
Next to the main bedroom is a full bath with access to a washer and dryer.
Upstairs you will find the second bedroom with a Queen bed and TV. The second upstairs bedroom has two comfy queen beds and a twin. Both bedrooms have access to a full bathroom with a walk in shower.
A picnic table and extra seating is located under the house as well as a Charcoal grill (new july 2023/ BBQ pit, Fire pit and outdoor hot/cold shower.
The fun doesn’t stop there we also have a built in sandpit for your little ones to play in or play a family game of bean bag toss.
Surfside is a low key, laid back beach town on the Gulf of Mexico where everyone is welcome and your invited to walk the sandy beach, fish on the Jetty, swim and surf in the Gulf. In the evenings visit one of the many restaurants for fresh seafood or grill your own on the grill provided.
Moondancer has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break away from it all. This beautiful second row home is just steps from the pedestrian beach and one block from Jetty park.

Only registered guests allowed on the property. No Third party bookings, person booking needs to be staying for the duration of the stay. No Rv/campers as per city regulations.
Check in is 4pm - No Early Check in unless given prior approval
Hurricane/storm Policy - We strongly recommend purchasing Cancel for any reason travel insurance to protect you against the unexpected including Hurricane/storms and COVID and any other unforeseen circumstances, no refunds or moving dates will be issued outside of our cancellation policy.
Please note surfside city water is not potable, It is safe to bathe in and for laundry. We do have a water dispenser with 5 gallon jugs which can be refilled at city hall. Your welcome to bring your own too
We are located near the Gulf in Texas which can be very humid. Bugs are to be expected (mosquitoes, ants and palmetto bugs) even though we do spray our home regularly.
Property has a Security camera ont he drive and on the side of the house that record with movment. There is also a Blink camera in the front door which also records audio/movement at all times

This house is super close to the pedestrian beach with a great patio. With smaller kids, it was more relaxing to stay where we didn’t need to worry about cars on the beach. Growing up close to surfside, we have stayed at many beach houses but this was definitely a favorite. Often the houses smell of mold and the tap water is yellow with an awful smell. The tap water here was so much better and the bottled water machine was a huge plus for drinking water. Kat was such a great host with prompt instructions and responses. Highly recommend this house and we plan to rent this location again!

The property was amazing more than we could have ever hoped for. The Host Kat, had to cancel our forst reservation and gave us an upgrade at the same price. She is a stand up person and made our stay the greatest with all the little things you forget to bring provided. Great communication, and availability. Just amazing!!!

We had a great overall stay, even right after Hurricane Beryl..there were a couple leaks, but the owner was right in it to get it fixed. They even offered to refund our stay if we wanted to cancel our trip. But we decided we wanted to stay and we are glad we did. The host was amazing!! The house was clean, a/c worked great and the location is perfect!

This house was perfect for our family, including my 2 grandsons (11/2 and 3). It was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the beach from our second floor porch! The beach was very close to the house. The host was also very helpful and answered my questions quickly ( especially the one about how to turn on the TV!).

This house was maybe a 30 second walk to Surside’s best beach for kiddos! The host was wonderful and extremely quick to answer. Other than a few very minor cosmetic things, the house was perfect! We really enjoyed our stay and loved the house was pet friendly! Would definitely recommend!

The house was a great location to the beach and had multiple stores nearby. Fun to see dolphins while walking on the jetty. House had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

This was a perfect house for our 2-family vacation that included an infant, 3 toddlers, and 2 primary school aged kids. The distance from the beach was perfect and ample space for everyone inside. The kitchen is basic, but if you’re really into cooking you might want to bring your own essentials (eg sharp knife, etc). Thank you for a lovely vacation.

This house was the perfect location for our group. We loved that it was so close to the beach, and we really enjoyed hanging out downstairs and grilling. It was the perfect getaway!!

The property was great and Kat was great to communicate with during our stay. The house is a 2 minute walk to the beach. The kids and adults all had plenty of space. The only thing is that the BBQ pit could be replaced. Otherwise, all positives from us. Highly recommend.

Our family of 11 enjoyed this comfortable house with a large table for our meals and games, The master bed was very comfortable! The sand pit under the house made a great place to hangout in the shade. It would have been even better if the swing could be hung to face the sand pit play area.

We met our son and daughter and their families at the beach house. Just a short walk to the beach, which was perfect! Everyone enjoyed themselves and we (almost) had enough room for everyone. We barbecued, roasted marshmallows, and walked on the jetty. Great place to stay!!

This place is perfect for families. The location was perfect, quite, and relaxing. The house had everything we needed, and enough rooms, beds, and space for our group (adults, kids, and pets). There were plenty of activities for everyone. Kat was a wonderful host! We will definitely be coming back.

This was a great house to stay to enjoy the beach. It had lots of beds and bathrooms as well as a fully stocked kitchen. The porch had lots of seating areas and the living room has a very large sectional couch and a huge table with benches for lots of people to gather around. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants a great beach getaway. We had a wonderfully relaxing time! Thank you :)

I’ve been to Surfside many times! This is the first time we have stayed close to pedestrian beach instead of the public beach. The house was in the perfect spot. Loved the outdoor shower and the kids loved the sandbox when we weren’t on the beach!

This is our 2nd time staying at the Moondancer for our family vacation. Located only half a block from the beach and has been recently updated. We look forward to future trips here.

House was exactly what was expected.
Kids playing in provided sand box area found and removed a few pieces of glass with no harm. Other items found upon checkin...1 boogie board was snapped in half and 1 of the fresh drawers in the fridge was cracked..These are all things to be noted probably due to natural wear and tear creating no problems during our stay. The overall experience was outstanding by all in our group. The VRBO listing could only be improved by adding pictures highlighting beach toys provided as we purchased and brought our own. Again, this was an excellent property for our purpose and I would recommend it to all.

Location of the house was perfect to the beach. A walk to the beach access was just the best thing ever. Some things I didn’t like was the public access was over crowded and parked on the side of the property with so many different people going in and out. There was even a group that just walked through the property to get to the beach.

Perfect for a family Spring Break getaway
My family of 12 (6 adults and 6 children under the age of 12) rented this home for a Spring Break trip. We loved the location of the house. It's on the pedestrian part of the beach and it was not as crowded. We loved the proximity to the beach. It was easy to go back and forth since it was right there. We all enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. It was also easy to get to local restaurants and little shops. The kids enjoyed seeing all the big ships coming into the channel. Owner was attentive. Overall great home that fit our family perfect and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Multi-Family Getaway!!
We had such a perfect getaway at Moondancer!! The house was perfect for our two families during Spring Break. The upstairs has 2 bedroooms (one with 3 beds) and bathroom. The downstairs has a connecting king room with bunk room and bathroom. The location was fantastic- just a few steps away from the beach. The house had everything you could want for kids- games, beach toys, sand and swing under the house. The property manager was very responsive and immediately checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Moondancer stay 2.0
We had a wonderful time again at Moondancer. We stayed with our family which included three kids and six adults. It has easy access to the beach, just steps away. There is a clear view of the beach and nice covered areas to be outside in as well. There is a porch swing and sandbox did kids to play in or throw horseshoes. The inside is very clean and well cared for .

The house was perfect for the our little family retreat. Just enough bedrooms to make sure everyone was comfortable. The house itself had absolutely everything we needed and more.
