Welcome to Sweet Carolina, 49 Dune Lane. This extravagant 8-bedroom, 9.5-bathroom home boasts countless features to make you feel like you are on your own private resort. Located on the beautiful ocean sands of North Forest Beach, you cannot help but relax.
The house features ample space for everyone and sleeping for up to 26. The main floor of the house is made for entertaining with a wide-open floor plan complete with a gourmet kitchen, dining room, large living room, and powder room. Enjoy your meals on the deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, cooked on the built-in grill and outdoor kitchen. Also, on the main floor is one of the king guest bedrooms with a private bath featuring a roll-in shower. As well as a master bedroom that has ocean views and main deck access. All bedrooms have a large flat-screen TV for your enjoyment as well. The elevator can be used from the ground –up to the first, second, or third floors.
The second floor plays host to 5 additional bedrooms and a game loft/second living room. Three of which have ocean views and deck access. The first of these three has 2 queen beds and a private bath with tub-shower. Continuing down the hall you will find the second ocean facing room with private bath and king bed. The third bedroom on this floor with ocean views is the junior master suite. This room has a king bed, sleeper sofa, private bath with roll-in shower, and access to the 2nd-floor deck overlooking the ocean. This ocean facing deck has a spiral staircase leading down to the main deck or pool deck!
The last two bedrooms face inland but also have a deck connecting each other. The first of these two bedrooms is another king guest with a private bathroom and tub-shower. The 5th bedroom on this floor is a queen guest room and private bath with tub-shower, just outside the game loft. The game loft has a large flat-screen TV with easy access to be able to hook up your favorite game system and a staircase up to the third floor. The third floor is all about the kids with yet another bedroom and 2 bathrooms but does not have access via the elevator. The third-floor bedroom has 4 sets of bunk beds and each bathroom has a roll-in shower.
Of course, the house is perfect if you must stay inside, but you came to Hilton Head to be outside, and 49 Dune Lane has made it easy to stay outside. The outdoor space is nothing less than resort quality. There is ample seating to enjoy an intense game of ping-pong in the open rec room overlooking the pool deck. Enjoy your favorite beverage under the Tiki Bar overlooking the world-class pool. Below the Tiki Bar is the Pool Bar. Built right into the pool is seating to the bar next to the hot tub and sun lounging deck. The other end of the pool is the perfect spot for the kids and a cool relaxing day. The bubblers will keep the kids entertained and you cool as you lay-out in the sun on the shallow patio portion of the pool. All this and there are still more to enjoy when the sun goes down at the built-in fire pit over-looking the ocean. And you have not even been to the beach yet.

Great property and location. Everything you could hope for in a rental. If I bought the house tomorrow the only thing I'd add would be an are that had multiple TV's to watch multiple games at once. Will definitely go back if heading to Hilton Head.

Sweet Carolina was the perfect house for our 4 generation family annual escape! The beach/ocean front property was beautiful and perfect for all ages: 1-84! The home had everything we needed- lots & lots of fun outdoor spaces surrounded the generously sized pool. There was plenty of undercover parking protected within a secure gate. Quinn called, TWICE just to check-in on us- we’ve not had that happen before. The bedrooms were generous in size and the kitchen was stocked with more than we could ever use.
We enjoyed this house and location so much, we will book again for next year!

third annual HH visit
We love the location and space in Sweet Carolina - we stayed in this same house two years ago and last year stayed at 35 Dune Lane. The welcome appetizers and wine were a very nice touch. The mess (sand, mud and water) by the pool because of the back flow that was there all week was unsightly and dangerous safety-wise. Many used the other stairs because the bottom of the main stairs was always very slippery and filled with water. The house looks like it has heavy use and seems a little worn, especially the stairs carpet. We notice this because we are paying top dollar for a very exclusive beach home. We would have liked to use the fireplace but there was a note that it was not working. We had to call to have lounge chairs found (in owners closet) to put by the pool. Our family absolutely loves this area and plans on coming back to HH next year, we are looking at options now. Thank you to Beachside for all their help!

The perfect place
To start our family started taking extended family vacations 5 years ago and have stayed in many places including resorts, houses and hotels. We travel with 15-19 on any given vacation so finding the "perfect place" that makes everyone happy is nearly impossible. That said - this place fit the bill. From age 77-5 everyone in our group LOVED this vacation home.
The huge layout made it possible for everyone to be inside, outside or anywhere they wanted to be with ample space. Every room having its own bathroom is a plus along with the huge kitchen and elevator making it possible for all to move easily amongst the house.
Having access to the beach at any given moment makes the location top notch! While this is a gem we would like to keep secret, everyone should know luxury like this exists! After walking the beach and seeing numerous houses, it is clear that this house has it all and was clearly the best. Our family used and enjoyed the outdoor covered patio with the television - the fire pit - the sunning patio near the beach - the lights at night at the pool - hot tub and deck instead of sand walking out to the beach.
In a nut shell we our already planning our trip next year and we have never done a repeat trip in 5 years - we have found our favorite place!

Best Thanksgiving week ever!
This house is simply amazing from top to bottom. It is perfectly located on Dune Road in North Forest Beach, and the sunrises and the sunsets are incredible. The house is clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. The layout of the house is really great--we had 14 people and never felt as though we were stepping on each other. There are multiple outside spaces with ample furniture for relaxing and taking in the views. The folks at Beachside Getaway were very helpful and accommodating. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience! We will be back!

Spring Break 2019
We've been to this house twice now and the layout inside and out is perfect for our large group. We actually had some maintenance (outside TV & Spa pump), in both cases the team at Beachside Getaway's promptly took care of these items and communicated very well. Our group will be going back!

Impressive, comfortable, well equipped and beautifully decorated beach front home!!
Sweet Carolina was the perfect beach vacation oceanfront home. Beautifully decorated and well equipped for us to enjoy our week with friends. We enjoyed every part of the property from grilling on the outside kitchen, relaxing under the tiki hut, lounging in the pool, epic ping pong tournaments and gathering around the fire pit at night. The only two improvements that can be made to the home is replacing the tired dishwasher and figuring out the tiki hut fireplace issues. We did miss enjoying nighttime fires under the tiki hut, although thanks to Beachside Getaways and their attentive customer service we did have a fire one night. This was a vacation we enjoyed tremendously and the memories will last a lifetime. We hope to return to Sweet Carolina again and again! I would highly recommend this magnificent home to anyone with out hesitation!

Perfect for our size of group
We had 15 people aging from 1-66 years old. The house is setup perfect for a large group. The pool is sheltered from the wind (we had a lot of wind) and the beach patio is awesome. The multiple outside areas made it easy for our group to spread out and enjoy our vacation. The house was very spacious and beautiful. Walking distance to various shopping, bike paths and entertainment was a plus. Watching the dolphins so close to shore daily was cool for everyone. We will be going back to 49 Dune Lane!

Stunning!!!
We stayed at Sweet Carolina an extended weekend. It is absolutely gorgeous and met every need that we had for our large group. The view of the ocean is one in a million. The outdoor fireplace and seating area was absolutely awesome! The kitchen was very modern with two large refrigerators. Each room was fantastic.Our favorite was the master suite on the main level with a direct view of the ocean. I would absolutely recommend this house to any family or large group that wants to enjoy their vacation and make some lifetime memories. Thanks again to the great owners of one of Hilton head's finest properties.

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The home is beautifully decorated and the amenities are second to none. The beach was phenomenal and it is literally only minutes from some of the best restaurants and shopping we have enjoyed anywhere on the coast.

Ultimate Beach House
We stayed at Sweet Carolina for a long weekend over Valentine's Day with several other couples. There was 15 of us in total and we had plenty of space. Sweet Carolina has everything you need to enjoy your time at Hilton Head! This is a one of a kind beach house!

A Great House w/ Even Greater Outdoor Space!
Our group of tennis/golf nuts stayed at Sweet Carolina the first week of November 2015. We had toured the home the previous year and decided, although quite expensive, to give it a try. Overall we were not disappointed. The house is beautiful and spacious. The outdoor space is by far the best of any home we've rented on HHI - and we've been doing so for 15 years. We had none of the usual rental maintenance issues. Everything was in working order. However, for the price paid (by far more than we have EVER paid), there were a couple of items that could use improvement:
1. ONE dishwasher for an 8 bedroom house? Seriously? We had to run it twice a day, which was pretty inconvenient as dishes piled up in the sink. The dishwasher will soon die of exhaustion!
2. At this price point, the "starter supplies" of dish and dishwasher soaps and paper products supplied were pathetically cheap and ineffective. Thankfully we brought some of our own. Do your guests a favor and supply something better than no-name products!
Bottom Line: It's worth the splurge!

We had a great time on our first trip to this beach. The house has a perfect setting and easilly accomodated our large family. Aside from all the beautiful amenities too many to mention the location was very convenient for all of our dining and shopping ventures. Cant wait to get back down there!!

SWEET CAROLINA IS BEACHFRONT PERFECTION WITH FAMILY FRIENDLY ELEGANCE
This North Forest Beachfront home offers all amenities needed for vacation bliss. Our mornings began with coffee in the Grand Tiki Gazebo watching the sun come up and the ships sail out of view. It became hard to make the decision to explore anywhere else. After walking a few feet out to the beach, we could easily decide to ride bikes or walk a few blocks to purchase our food for the day or simply order delivery at Coligny Plaza. We chose to pan fry local, fresh black grouper in the well equipped kitchen. Outside grills are steps away from eating areas so we had a little steak with low country boiled shrimp the next evening. All levels are accessible by elevator or use the wide easy to navigate stairs to move between floors. There are several gathering areas for meals, games, ping-pong, swimming, sunning and movie watching together. We enjoyed private reading time and breathtaking views on the balconies and inside. The furnishings were beautiful as they were comfortable defining a family friendly elegance. Each bedroom offers on-suite bathroom privacy. Sweet Carolina was exactly what we needed for a few days away from work. We ended each evening with our favorite beverage under the fans in the Grand Tiki gazebo where the day began. Details make the difference for everyone who stays to have a relaxing resort vacation experience. Please take a look at the online photos, videos and enjoy the view but really you must see everything in person to appreciate this beauty!

Best vacation home ever. We were a group of 17 ranging in age from 13 to 78 and everyone was happy. The outdoor seating, pool, hot tub and ocean view created a personal resort atmosphere.

This beachfront home offers everything you could ask for in a luxury vacation! Open and spacious main floor plan leads to outdoor space that is unmatched. Large groups will be more comfortable than you can imagine. All furnishings are warm and inviting. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are top quality. The outdoor area with kitchen, sitting area with fireplace and TV, pool, hot tub, and sunning lounges is simply all you could ask for in a dream vacation. There are too many awesome benefits to this home to list. If you are looking for a home steps away from the beach with all of the luxury you could ask for, look no further!

Perfect for a Beach Getaway!
I stayed at 49 Dune with my extended family and my young daughter. The house was perfect. It had everything we needed; It is right on the beach, large in-ground pool (my daughter especially liked the fountains,) seconds away from Coligney, double fridge, tiki hut, and the views from all the rooms are fantastic. There were lots of people in the house and plenty of room for us to all be together and at the same space for us to have some quiet time. The owners took great care in making sure this rental would be the perfect for your vacation. You can't make a better choice when it comes to a beach rental!

This home beyond compare
This home exceeded all our expectations! Warm and inviting, well appointed, abundant seating inside and out, comfortable beds with extra pillows and blankets...the list is endless. The owners thought through what large groups would need and want - two refrigerators, two grills, large spaces for everyone to relax, beach views beyond compare - this is a must stay in home. You can tell the owners take pride in their home and it both shows and benefits anyone who stays here.
The beach is steps away and wonderful for walks and bike rides. One of our favorite things to do was have dinner outside listening to the waves and enjoying the breeze.
We are already planning next year's trip to Hilton Head and this will be the house we rent again!
