Very friendly host and a very clean house. The house was a good match for two families. The pool was shared with other families and is appr. 50m from the house.

The property was perfect for our stay. Had all the facilities we needed and was set in a beautiful surrounding.

Schönes Ferienhaus in den Vogesen
Wir haben mit sieben Freunden eine schöne Woche in diesem geräumigen Ferienhaus verbracht.
Bei Buchung war die deutsche Beschreibung des Objekts noch etwas unpräzise, was die etlichen Zusatzkosten (Reinigung, Nebenkosten, ggf. Poolhandtuch, Bettwäsche) sowie die Poolbestimmungen (Öffnungszeiten, Videoüberwachung) anging. Dies haben die Vermieter allerdings nach dem Ausräumen der dadurch entstandenen Missverständnisse offenbar geändert, sodass es für uns hier keinen Grund zur Klage mehr gibt.
Das Objekt selbst war schön und ruhig gelegen, der Pool war angenehm temperiert und auch bei Regen zu benutzen und die Gastgeber haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen, mehrfach nachgefragt, ob wir noch was brauchen und am Ende nach Verbesserungsideen gefragt.
Wir kommen ggf. gerne wieder :)

Onze familieweek in le Clos du Mapré
Deze vakantiewoning is zeer geschikt voor een vakantieweek zoals wij die met 10 personen, onder wie 2 jonge kinderen, hier doorbrachten. Het huis is comfortabel, ruim, zeer schoon en van alle gemakken en benodigdheden voorzien om zo'n groot aantal mensen een fijne vakantieweek te bezorgen. De eigenaren zijn gastvrij en vriendelijk. De omgeving zeer geschikt om te wandelen en fietsen, supermarkten en andere winkels in de buurt en vooral het fantastische zwembad is een groot pluspunt. Het weer viel in onze vakantieweek een beetje tegen zodat we daar helaas niet elke dag gebruik van konden maken. Onze vakantieweek hier was in ieder geval een groot succes.

Prima vakantiewoning, zeer schoon, lekker de ruimte, veel mogelijkheden tot vermaak (jeux de boules, tafeltennis, basketbal) en groot verwarmd zwembad. Alleen jammer dat het zwembad naast het huis van de verhuurder ligt waardoor je je minder vrij voelt en pas vanaf 10 uur open is en niet s avonds. Drinken en eten verboden.

Zorgeloos verblijf in een mooie streek
Perfecte uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen en mtb tochten. Huis ligt rustig gelegen en is kraaknet bij aankomst. Volledige rondleiding van behulpzame eigenaar. Fietsen kunnen veilig opgeborgen worden. Alle comfort dat nodig is voor een verblijf in de Vogezen, was voor mij aanwezig ! Is voor ons een mogelijk terugkeeradres !

Excellent séjour dans un gîte très beau et très bien équipé. A 10 personnes dont un bébé, nous étions confortablement installés. Très bon accueil de la part des propriétaires, le gîte est très propre et fonctionnel. Tous les équipements nécessaires sont présents. Le gîte est idéalement situé pour le ski et les ballades dans les massifs vosgiens. L'espace détente, composé de son hammam et du jacuzzi, est au top et permet de se détendre dans un cadre magnifique. Sans hésiter nous recommandons ce gîte où l'on se sent très bien. Merci beaucoup.

Un super WE dans les Vosges fin janvier
Nous avions loué ce gîte durant un WE à 9 adultes. Tout y était prévu pour notre confort : de l'espace, un équipement parfait, une literie excellente, une propreté irréprochable. Le SPA est TOP. Région magnifique, ballades et randonnées à volonté. Un accueil précis et chaleureux. Nous reviendrons assurément mais cette fois, nous resterons plus longtemps!

Ein wunderbarer Silvesterurlaub!
Wir, 9 Freunde und ein Kleinkind, verbrachten eine wunderbare Woche in Le Menil. Die Vermieter waren unglaublich freundlich und haben und sehr herzlich empfangen. Uns wurde das Haus und seine Einrichtung sehr gut erklärt und wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen und wie zu Hause. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und ordentlich und gut und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es mangelte uns an nichts und in der Küche war wirklich alles vorhanden. Wir haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt und werden gerne wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an Françoise und Deniz Pernot!

Das Haus und besonders die Küche sind sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat an nichts gefehlt.

Great spot for a family get together
This house has loads of space. There is enough room for large family groups and plenty of parking. The living areas are well thought out with enough space to eat and relax. The property is well equipped, including a barbecue, games and table tennis. The pool is a good size, heated and covered which is ideal if the weather is not great. The location is perfect for cycling, both in the mountains and along the Voie Vert, a dedicated bike route which takes in much of the area. All in all a wonderful property which has everything you need for your holiday.

Vacances inoubliables
Après un accueil chaleureux des propriétaires, nous avons pu nous détendre dans une maison très propre, toute équipée, spacieuse, et confortable. En effet tout est mis à votre disposition pour oublier les petites tracas du quotidien. Les propriétaires sont à votre écoute et restent très facilement joignables. Les enfants ont, quant à eux, adoré le chauffage par le sol et le SPA (sous la surveillance des adultes). Enfin, la maison est située au milieu de différentes stations de ski Alpin, ce qui nous a permis d'en découvrir cinq en six jours.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans votre gîte au clos du Mapré. Nous vous remercions pour votre accueil chaleureux et l'investissement personnel de votre part pour rendre le séjour des plus agréable avec des conseils de visites et de restaurants ainsi que votre présence immédiate en cas de question. Le gîte est dans un état irréprochable, la vaisselle et équipements divers en quantité largement dimensionnée et de grande qualité. Pour les familles avec enfants cette maison est idéale avec son ingénieuse barrière d'escalier, son espace extérieur et ses espaces de jeux. L'espace détente est par ailleurs exceptionnel et ce n'est que du bonheur. Vous êtes des propriétaires sérieux rien n'est laissé au hasard pour favoriser un séjour réussi dans une très belle région.

Calme, confort, repos assuré.
Nous avons été accueilli par Monsieur Pernot d'une manière très chaleureuse lors de notre arrivée.
La maison est située idéalement, au calme avec une vue superbe sur la montagne et le son du ruisseau en prime. Elle est également assez proche des stations de ski mais sans le tumulte des stations.
La maison est très spacieuse (idéale pour 10 sans se gêner nullement), très propre, et équipée comme nous ne l'avons jamais vu sur des locations de vacances. Cerise sur le gâteau, un spa à quelques mètres de la maison (juste un petit escalier vous y conduira, et là quelle surprise de trouver ce petit bijou digne des plus beaux SPA de grands hôtels. On peut ainsi profiter du SPA avec une vue imprenable sur la montagne ainsi que du hammam tout en écoutant une playlist de sa musique favorite si on le souhaite.
Bref un parcours sans faute pour Monsieur Pernot qui n'a de cesse de vouloir satisfaire ses hôtes. Allez-y les yeux fermés et savourez un repos bien mérité.

Wir waren 10 Personen die ein schönes, entspanntes Wochenende verbracht haben.
Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und Hilfsbereit. Das Haus war sehr sauber und bot viel Platz für 10 Personen.
Das einzige was für uns überraschend war, war das wir nichts über die Extra Kosten für die Benutzung des Spas und den Hamas gelesen hatten.
Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und danken den Vermietern für das tolle Haus und das tolle Wochenende.

Trés agréable maison que nous ne conseillerons pas à nos amis
Maison: La maison est assez grande pour 10 adultes. Tous les équipements nécessaires de cusine sont à disposition. Les chambres sont meublées d'une manière pratique et classique.
Alentours: De trés jolies ballades. La visite des anciennes mines de cuivre au Thilot est très intéressante. La ferme de la Chapelle de Vés, á une heure de marche, propose de trés bon Munster et une visite de la ferme.
Pourquoi malgré ses avantages nous ne recommanderons pas la maison à nos amis: Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis bienvenus par les hôtes. L'état des lieux á l'arrivée n'avait par pour but de nous faire sentir chez nous, mais plutôt de nous signaler tout ce que nous ne devons pas faire dans cette maison. L'état des lieux de fin de séjour a effacé tout le repos accumulé dans la semaine. Les rideaux légèrement froissés vont être portés au pressing, malgré notre proposition de les repasser. Un plat dans le lave-vaisselle qu'il ne fallait apparemment pas mettre dedans entraîna un tel commentaire: "on n'a jamais vu ca!".
Enfin, nous ne conseillons pas cette maison aux personnes qui souhaitent chauffer en hiver. Les chauffages électriques, ainsi que le chauffe-eau consomment beaucoup et peuvent occasionner en une semaine une hausse des charges équivalente à au moins deux pleins d'essence.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans une maison spacieuse avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. Les chambres sont grandes et accueillantes. L'étage est sécurisé pour les enfants en bas âge. La pièce à vivre est très lumineuse et conviviale.

Ein sehr angenehmes Wochenende
Wir hatten als Familie mit 8 Erwachsenen und 3 kleinen Kindern ein sehr angenehmes Wochenende.
Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht und auch in mehr als ausreichender Menge (Gläser, Besteck, Geschirr, Töpfe etc.). Die Betten sind stabil und wirklich bequem, das habe ich in anderen Häusern schon ganz anders erlebt. Ein winziges Manko: Die Kopfkissen sind quadratisch und sehr fest. Wenn man das nicht gewohnt ist, sollte man eventuell ein eigenes mitbringen.
Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig und man bekommt in der Umgebung alles, was man braucht.
Wir kommen gerne irgendwann mal wieder.

tout d abord merci a françoise et denis pour leurs acceuil. nous avons passé une agréable semaine dans votre magnifique gites, il y a aucunes surprise la maison correspond au descriptif, et d une propreté irréprochable. les enfants ont adoré la piscine très bien chauffé et l espace jeux extérieur sans oublier le petit ruisseau qui coule au bout du terrain ou il ont trempé les pieds . une semaine un peu courte pour découvrir toute la région . nous reviendrons peut- étre et conseillerons votre gites dans notre entourage.

Fantastic house, fantastic owner
This is a fantastic house in a lovely setting, ideal for large families and groups of friends.
The house is very clean and well maintained. It is also very well equipped with fridge and freezer, oven, grill/oven, microwave, a variety of crepe makers, food processor and other equipment. There is a washing machine, drier and dishwasher.
Downstairs is a large living/dining room which can accommodate 10 without being cramped. A large dining room table provides a centre piece for eating, socialising, games etc. There is a satellite television, iPod dock, and DVD.
Downstairs there is also a kitchen, small double bedroom, separate toilet, large bathroom with shower, and access to the garage which is great for cycles and motorcycles.
Upstairs there are two good sized double bedrooms, a good twin, and a room with four well spaced singles. All the beds are comfortable no complaints from back sufferers!). There is another separate toilet, and another large bathroom with shower.
The house is well equipped with games, and the large garden has football goals, badminton net, and basketball net. A stream runs through the bottom of the garden. There is a large patio table, chair and sun loungers.
The heated swimming pool is in the garden of a neighbouring property where the landlord lives, and is also shared with one other smaller cottage.
The house is as previously stated extremely well equipped with utensils, crockery, cooking equipment, BBQ etc.
It is set in a valley a short walk to the village of Le Menil where there is a butchers, bakers and tobacconists. A short 5-10 minute drive away is Le Thillot with a Intermarche supermarket, LIDL, ALDI and selection of other shops.
The area is spectacular, whether you are walking, cycling, motorcycling or in a car. With miles of lovely roads, lakes, and waterfalls.
The owner of the house is fantastic and will help with any problem or advice. He doesn’t speak English, we don’t speak very good French, but somehow that wasn’t a problem!
We stayed in August 2012 as a group of two couples and two singles and strongly recommend the property as a quiet, extremely comfortable, base for exploring the area.
